What if I tell you that the cover has two variations based on hardware? The first half is the default NES, with just the 2A03 chip. And for the second half they added the Konami VRC6 chip, allowing for the new sound.

i like how the intro of the song is exactly the same, but when it gets to the part that has non-8-bit parts it's still fully 8-bit. reminds me of some Pokey Means Business remixes.

Very nice. The first half kind evokes a Metroid on NES feel for some reason. When you switch over to VRC6 it sounds really great as well. The extra layer adds to it in this case and doesn't make it sound too busy. I've not heard the original yet, but I like your version. :)

it goes off a "bit" but you managed to get it done well also don't be afraid to make changes to make it sound better at a point you could have used a lower tone instead of higher it would have sounder way better
