Nice video. Always great to have family or friend to assist. He is a keeper.
Me: always doing this alone or wife helps whenever. I got 4 siblings but they are useless, they call me for help but I can never count on them for anything. Now my dad is always there for me. I hope he’s around for a long time.

You did an awesome job. I now feel more comfortable and confident to buy and install these racks.

I bought 2 sets of the 4X8 racks (four 4X4). The center brace did not come with the 16 screws & wing nuts I had to go and buy them at the hardware store $5. On this video pay close attention to how the vertical brackets over lap each other for length. Out top bracket is mount on the outside of the lower bracket and the lower bracket is mounted on the inside. The 2 bolts, 4 washers and 2 locking nuts are inserted on both sides of the bracket. Make sure when attaching the vertical brackets to the ceiling mounting rail that the tear drop holes are upside down or your 4 outside rails will not connect into the slots. Another thing to watch out for when determining the length of the vertical rails for your size (height) of your storage totes. The top ceiling bracket is 1.5" and the bottom rail is 2.5" and then the plywood is minimum 3/8". That's at lease 4" you will loose. I was working with only a maximum of 17" between my ceiling and the garage door chain drive. My vertical rails are with in 1" of the chain drive. Deleting the 4+" from my 16" leaves me only 12" for my storage totes. My totes are 13" tall. SO I have to place my totes in between the center of the ceiling brackets and then slide the totes to side behind the ceiling bracket. If you are installing these racks any place away from your open garage door and have open space from ceiling to floor then you would not have this problem other then hitting your head on the rack or a service door won't open all the way. If you are installing in a limited space area don't forget about the plywood thickness, 3/8" is minimum for the weight capacity and if you decide to go with 1/2" plywood you would loose another partial inch depending on thickness of plywood. If you are trying to install the rack against a wall make sure you are at lease 2" from wall or you will not be able to get your screws/nuts/washers behind the bracket next to the wall. I hope this info helps with your installation.

Nice job. But i think you are supposed to put two ceiling plates back to back where you mounted two vertical bars for 2 racks.

Very cool, I bought one a while ago but haven't been able to install it, how did you guys manage to align the braces?

I installed 1 brace and then had my buddy hold the next one up so I could just pencil in the holes for the next brace. Definitely a 2 person job.
