high grade is a great way to start as the kits are cheap and no real risk of getting too much wrong as its all experience.. wanna know the truth i started on the PG unicorn on my channel i blogged the build and it took a huge toll on me but that said it turned out all ok so sometimes you just have to grab the bull by the horns and do it.. watch as many videos as you can watch techniques and tips from others and keep at it dont get upset when mistakes are made it just indicates not to do that in future lol. keep at it

Dude, you speak wisdom. Building Gunpla is the closest thing to Zen I have ever experienced, and I have done drugs.
Since I have started building gunpla I have no money left for weeds or drugs :(
What drugs tho? Lol cuz some are stll worth doing evry once in a while. Like their gonna legalize mdma lsd and shrooms soon ALL of those are amazing thing's to do.
Glad I avoided drugs and found gunpla and 3D printing first... though at the end of the day ... never enough money for more shinies

Same here. I was always a little confused by the name of this channel, or rather, the "It's a Gundam" channel, because everytime I saw a video it was about the MCU or Star Wars or something like that. Who knew that a channel named It's a Gundam had content related to Gundams! ;-)

Your models always look so good I finally decided to paint a kit for the first time. I chose the HG Gm the $10 one. It looks ok, way better than the unpainted version now that its not blue

There was music there that was written by a fan that was played in the original upload. My guess is that he requested that his music be removed for whatever reason.
@@Deltaworks23 Well spotted. Also it'd be a shame if that were the case as the comments on that video are full of people saying nice things and that they found that content due to Gundam. The video has seen an increase of at least 5x the views it once had due to exposure from this creator.

I built my first two kits out of the box, but I will definitely be using some of these techniques when I build my Zaku II Origin HG. Thank you. Your music is wonderful. Much better than the stuff you hear on the radio. It rocks. Definitely has a buttrock/chill vibe to it. You deserve recognition for your music and your Gunpla you are a talented guy.
Love the end results, didn't know anything about pre-shading, so that's useful, so thank you for that. The base you painted also looks awesome, you definitely know how to wing-it then!

Great video I have been building Models for a long time and just got into gundam in the past 2 years it's something for me and my oldest son to do together I myself have built 10 gundams but never had the courage to paint one but I think now I'm going to give it a try thank you for taking the time to do this video

i guess its a tad ironic that i enjoy watching this alot since i never been into watching anything anime or gundam in genereal but it is relaxing to watch :) reminds me of the gigantic ships i used to paint when i was at a younger age and did not have hands that shaked like a juju jar xd
Taboo Vector Gundam Wing is great. Its the only one ive seen. I tried watching Gundam Unicorn or whatever the one on Netflix is, but couldnt get past 3 minutes of it
It's weird man, but that "shaky hands" part you mentioned - these kits/models are great for "curing" it, as well as nerves and all; it simply calms you and make you forget of everything but that little part that you have to paint, or crop, or combine next. I never did anime too, and of Gundams I heard only when I started to follow this Gundam on youtube; I made other things, but Gundam has wright when he says that's called "live in a moment". Sometimes countless of hours can pass by without a thought of anything bad in your life, and you surprise yourself by peace it can bring to you. And at the end, as a reward - you have something real you can enjoy, put on some place in your home, or give away to someone.
I'd like to have time and space to do it again. Now isn't the time, fk it, but who knows, future is "like a box of chocolates - you never know what you're gonna get" lol

38:59 I believe those are dry transfer decals they are a pain to work with but once you apply it you rub them with a soft plastic tool like the but of a paint brush. Then peel the plastic layer back off almost like a vinyl decal and all that's left is the image itself. It suck tho if you don't put enough pressure on it to transfer the image properly when you peel the transfer sheet off it will rip the image

Tip for applying the dried stickers. Mixing the water with a drop of dishwasher or baby soap. Applying the water with your droplet where you are going to put the sticker on. Now you will be able to move the sticker around a little bit before using the cotton swap to remove the access water later. ^^

Idk if you’ve figured it out by now but in case you haven’t you can use Mr setter even on the stock decals that come with the kit. Just put a dab on the piece and you’ll be able to move the decal around for the perfect spot. It won’t hurt the glue at all

Been following your other channe for some time nowl, great work on both. also thanks for making me laugh contstantlly. Question, where would one get a copy of your music? I've only ever heard what you use as the "its a Gundam" background loop, which gets stuck in my f*n head a lot, but thanks to this video I got to hear the full song..and well its F*n amazing brother, thanks for the content, and keep fighting the good fight. Oh and have you used the Tamiya weathering paint kits they sell that looks like some broads mascara sets? I use em here and there for weathering my kits and sometimes I get good results, and sometimes I want to set my studio on fire and walk away. regardless, much respect from Jersey.

I've had issues with panel wash after painting a figure, I using a lacquer ultra clear gloss but it doesnt run smooth, any suggestions?

For clear gloss, just use pledge. It works surprisingly well.

What happened with the music? It just went silent was muted during mercury? Was it called that song ends around the world 15:00 mark. Idk if anyone else had the same issue or not I couldn't hear it n wanted to cuz indie is the best music ther r is almost damn.
For the best chrome paint ever buy Molotow. It's great reasonably priced and readily available. And as far as the metal-izer goes just get yourself some rub n, buff. Also graphite powder is cheap and can do a similar thing. You just apply with a brush. Rub it and voila.

Hi Gundam, I like your videos and your music. I"m not in too Gunpla but am in to plastic modelling. C1 metalizer is available at a british online modelling website "Emodels" and for a chrome pen you could look at Mollotow chrome pen I hear American modellers rave about it. Keep modelling and filming. Much respect from the Netherlands

That metalizer, isn't that just graphite powder? The kind used in pencils and stuff? We use it a lot to make Mandalorian helmets

Are those 'stickers' transfers? I thought those are the type you rub on and then pull the backing (fronting) off. BTW, I totally agree with the the therapeutic idea of building and painting these kits, it has been a true God send for me over the last 2 years.
