@Sneha Bhati I went to baradene in Auckland !
I'm a New Zealander, I've been watching this channel since 2015, in alphabetical order when New Zealand finally got uploaded 4.5 years ago I was really happy! I wanted to watch it right away! it's taken me this long to finally get to it! I feel relieved, i'm too OCD to watch these out of order so it was a lonnnng wait!
For foreigners you did a really good job pronouncing the words, some people born here do a worse job tbh.

Barbs, I think this is one of the best episodes you have ever done. All the jokes felt fresh, visuals are even better than normal, nothing dragged, and it generally felt like you had a blast making this episode.

Adam Blugerman I’m from Michigan too
And he mentioned dolan dark in the famous people section, this automatically makes it the best

The girl's pronunciation of Maori had me dead
I agree
It’s either mou-ari or mouri pronunciation wise. imo
I agree 100%
When he said the pronunciation for Māori and the last one that he said Wasn't how you pronounced, it sounded the most correct!
I will still spell it as maorey;)

Yep, we’re always getting overshadowed and mocked by our larger neighbours...
i always say this ❤️
Hey watch the video "10 reasons not to visit New Zealand" by garandhero.
Not exactly. The way NZ treats its indigenous populations is light years ahead of Canada. Not to mention that the recent trucker protests have exposed some of Canada's dark and ugly underbelly.
@@TheChimples Don't worry, we also have a dark and ugly underbelly that identifies more with the hillbillies in the US. They had their own trucker/farmer "envoy". Just another way we're similar .

Why does everyone keep forgetting to mention Lucy Lawless?!
When the Magna Carta was signed in 1215, and during most of Notre Dame Cathedral's construction, no humans lived in New Zealand. There's something existential about that... And meanwhile just a two-hour flight away in Australia, humans were living there before they were in Europe.
Not in love with your use of "existential" but I totally get what you're going for and it is very interesting to think about. I also like thinking the absolute cultural isolation of Aboriginal Tasmanians and other groups like them around the world. Imagine walking to a new land and then generations later having the sea rise so that your entire population is isolated for thousands for tens of thousands of years.
Hey man, sorry to say but it's 1200 BC not 1200 AD when the Polynesians arrived. So yeah, Europe was still in the Bronze age and 2400 years off signing the Magna Carta.
@@Harry-ez8do nope, Maori arrived to New Zealand only at circa 1300AD, he was right

Some do, others can't stand Maori, a lot of closet racism in NZ, but for the most part most white kiwis and Maori have very good relationships.
Pretty good... though in WWI we didn't just hang around the islands. We got together with the Australians & formed the ANZACs - the Australia-New Zealand-Army Corps.
With them we participated in a major offensive in Turkey, storming the beaches in a place called Gallipoli.
On April 25th we have a national holiday called ANZAC Day in which we commemorate all those lost to war, but particularly focuses on the Gallipoli campaign. April 25th is the day we lay wreathes and wear poppies to remember our fallen.
