A masterclass in vocal technique, breath control and emotion. I have watched this performance hundreds of times and still gets to me each time. Sohyang is next level. Thank you for another great reaction. Look forward to the next Sohyang reaction.
She practiced hundreds of times and lay down for a few days after the performance. It's like a stage that burned everything. Singing live with a soft body for 7 minutes and 16 seconds is touching and amazing.
I knew you would love this performance but I have to say the physical reaction you had to her just made me happy inside. It's clear get her the way her hardcore fans do. It's not just about the way she sounds, it's the way she makes us feel.
It's sure to be a beautiful performance that leaves you speechless.

Actually, she thought for a moment before saying that it is "Everyone" because the breaths were at odd places.
Personally, I have seen at one one old clip of Sohyang singing gospel songs on stage for her Christian group, and she was able to belt and belt with no sign of exhaustion.
This is a cover song that had been re-interpreted. The actual song is quite quite different. Practically, nobody can sing this Sohyang version.

Yeah she said this was one of her most challenging performances because of the way she arranged the song. This was such an amazing and powerful performance, which is par for the course with her. If you want to see her perform her most vocally challenging song, which is her own original song btw, you should check out her performance of “Dream” at the 2015 DMC Festival. It’s one of the only times you’ll see her perform her own music outside of church and you’ll also see why it’s a very challenging song vocally.
It is also amazing to see how Sohyang changed the original version of the song 'Everyone' and made her own version. :)) and it was 58000% perfect and better :)) I am happy that you found video with English subtitles :)
The original is also very beautiful. It's incredible how it's both very similar to the original in some ways, but also completely different.
She said this is the most technically difficult song she’s ever performed. She doesn’t think she’ll ever be able to perform it again because of her health. It’s a modern Masterpiece!!!
i don't think she'll perform it again too but she's currently and was the last year in an incredible condition. So she might be able. But she doesn't need to since she doesn't need to prove anyone
she struggled indeed to find the places to breathe in that arrangement, so she picked the song up as the hardest to sing.

I'm a member of a choir, and it's impossible to sing with her whole body with high notes, incredible techniques and emotions for a long time like Sohyang, but she sang as if nothing happened. It was an incredible performance.
This song is one of the representative gospel songs in Korea. Sohyang said it was the hardest performance of her life. She impressed the audience with her incredible stamina and vocal technique in this seven-minute performance. She is such a beautiful person who thinks of her life's purpose as giving courage, hope, and comfort to countless suffering people around the world. I'm a Buddhist but love her true faith and pure soul.

Another ENTHUSIASTIC/FANTASTIC reaction/analysis, to another MASTER CLASS performance from the 8th Wonder Of The World, So Hyang.
So Hyang indicated this was her most difficult song to sing, because she had to figure out where to take a breath. If I'm not mistaken, this is the only time she performed this song.
In my never to be humbled opinion, whenever So Hyang covers a song, most times she makes the original sound like a demo tape. She has the ability to give any song, just enough polish, to make it new and improved.

If I want to be impressed I listen to sopranos.. If I want to be moved I listen to great Altos...But Sohyang is one of the exceptions to that rule...

God, I've heard this song so many times, but now I know I can't believe it's been 7 minutes. I didn't know it was this long
Please do yourself a huge favor and don't stop anytime soon with her. I get it would be tempting having so many singers to do. It's just that you have no idea what magic she has out there. It's not normal, what she is doing in various songs. Like here's a telling point. I shrug when I see a reaction to this or Bridge. It's because she has several... over 10... others that are simply more magical and truly epic. Like I'd say Arirang alone is in that realm. Several from I am singer and masked singer are just impossibly good. And some in begin again korea. Each show has a different vibe to it no less.
I dare you to experience Fate from I am singer. The audience is tearful. A voice reactor with maybe the most of hers done did it twice because he had to do it again later on his birthday. He said it was one of the greatest things he'll ever see and hear. Yet few reactions to it because she has so many and people hit the few and stop. And it's like man it you just knew. And it took me forever to discover it or Breathe from masked singer. They are magic. Home from masked singer. It's just about 10-15 that are in a way don't miss dimash sos kind of territory. Because again, they kinda for me make this and Bridge eh.

I didn't shed a tear at my father's funeral because I needed to be the strongest one there. No matter how hard I try this song hits me right in the heart and I tear up a bit. Just a tiny little bit but none the less.

Have you ever listened to grace potter? She has such a great rock/blues voice. Oodles of Belting and we sense the breath control allows to bring the magic out of all the ad libs and technique…It allows a comfort zone that enables all that to happen. I agree it’s a wonder how “short people” can generate such power in their vocals, like MoriA, AlmiraCercado of 4th impact, ArianaG,…”* Although I enjoyed this Exciting Performance, I felt it was continuously highly energetic and loud with Power, yes there were delightful vocal skills at play, but i think the direction in doing this song should have taken more better advantage of the few “quieter” short moments of the song to emphasise what follows. As a result, despite the ad libs, I felt it was constantly loud and energetic and powerful, and although nice, we missed out on much needed quiet moments of respite to build up the drive to the energetic vocals to create a little better dynamic and distinct colours to the flow of the song through its stages. *….It’s just my opinion after one listen. Criticism on the direction not her vocal skills. And only a small point. Overall, yes, her Vocals are Excellent.!* …DM’s reaction is so Professional and one of the best. I always learn a lot from her.

It was composed by Yoon Hang-ki, a singer and composer, for his younger sister Yoon Bok-hee, and won the grand prize at the 3rd Seoul International Song Festival in 1979.
Originally, it was written with English lyrics first, and it was later submitted to the International Song Festival, and it is said that the Korean lyrics, verse 1, were translated into English lyrics, verse 2.
Yoon Hang-ki is said to have made this song to comfort his younger brother, who has been divorced twice. In addition, Yoon Bok-hee himself revealed at a Christian group retreat, which also includes the meaning of his personal confession of faith.
Despite suffering from laryngitis, Yoon Bok-hee went to the Seoul International Song Festival and won the grand prize after singing the song with all her might on stage.

danielle did you know that another round of 7 songs of epic level she performed on korean music show "king masked singer" she won most rounds as queen of that show...her songs were amazing and she sings more styles there....another show she sang is "begin again korea" busking live show she sings "i will always love you", jessi j's flashlight, misty and so many others
