I learned how to do this at a summer camp. I made a new record for the longest finger weaving ( that is what they called it and what I call it ). I made one as long as The whole entire camp which was about a quarter mile to be honest. Usually you would only be able to use a certain amount of yarn but I was good friends with one of the counselors so he let me use more yarn. I wonder if I still hold the record. Anyway, I still do it to this day. I have anxiety and ADHD so it’s very relaxing for me. My friend has ADHD to and I taught her how to and she says it’s relaxing to her too. The point of this was to say how fun it is

So underrated, I wish I can do that but I will just do it on my kind, Knitting a scarf peacefully with my grandmother, but after my grandmother moved to Mexico, I felt a little upset knitting without her, but here I am, still knitting some beautiful scarfs, we almost made 20 scarfs😐😐😐😳😳

Hi if I want to make it into a blanket for a baby is there a way I can turn a long strip of this into a blanket
Absolutely-you could definitely give it a go. You could whirl it into S shapes and sew it together into a square/rectangle , if you just wanted to finger knit a very long and continuous strand or you could sew together multiple strands until you reach the desired dimension of your blanket.🥰🧡

Loom knitting is basically the same but with a loom and you can make bigger projects i recommended u try it!

I watched this threes times now, 3 hours ago, 1 hour ago and now because using this technic, I made a bag by stiching up several pieces of those strips and whilst I was attaching, I noticed the wool was kind of seperated which also ceated a nice pattern.

In elementary school, my friend and I learned how to finger knit, so everyday at the after school program, we would bring yarn, and knit for maybe an hour every school day for a few weeks. And we even taught some other ppl who wanted to learn. And after a few weeks mine was 33 ft long, and I still have it to this day

I feel like you need some pretty thick yarn for this
You can use various different yarns for sure. If you are a beginner a slightly thicker yarn might be easier to work with. Let us know, if you need any help.

If you have create a very long chain, you could whirl it up(In "S" shapes) and sew it together to create a square or rectangle. If you make multiple of those you could then sew them together into a piece of clothing. There are multiple ways to finger knit bigger pieces as well. Yes just the right tension to still be able to move the yarn over but not too loosely as dropping stitches, can happen easily with this method.
How much yarn should we leave before casting them on

Why mine is not good? 😔. First I use ordinary yarn when I learn it so ugly. Second I use fabric from doormat but still it so ugly and it has a big spaces. It look like basketball net😅😅

There are many lovely options. If you create a few finger knit "snakes" you could sew them all together into a big piece of fabric and turn them into a piece of clothing or blanket etc. for example 🥰
