    Im making a prediction here mate.....your on a par with Salvage Rebuilds. Just stick with it and you will become a star . Your an absolute legend......working kerbside puts you at a disadvantage before you even turn a spanner but you just smash it out!!

    You can remove the thrust bearing arm on the Suzuki swift gearbox by tapping the top bush out, takes 2 minutes.

      You don't change gearboxes because it needs a clutch fork.

    Great video! Had alot of customers recently with egr faults and alot have asked if they can be removed so made a big investment and bought remapping gear and a new autel scanner 😅 hopefully a few more happy customers

      I’ve been thinking that too tbh. CEL is lit up on my workhorse but it’s only the AdBlue injector that’s failed. I always just reset it so the cannot restart error resets 😂.
      It’s also cheaper for the customer to get it mapped out than replaced 🤷🏽‍♂️. I might think about this deeply 😂

      @@themarvelousvlog haha that's fair enough! Yeah with the prices of adblue injectors and adblue modules it's crazy not to just remove the software for them I have an egr booked in for tomorrow so hopefully the mapping goes well🤞🏻 joined an established company that supply's properly tuned files as I want to keep it as professional as possible.

    After fitting a egr valve and cleaning up intake manifold and flaps too , i still have codes i have realised the signal to ecu or ecu is bad such a waste of a £240 wahler egr when i checked the soleneid on the old egr seems to open and close as it should such a trap this EGR and DPF bullshit

      @themarvelousvlog ok thanks luckily I'm just a home mechanic so I have traced the bad corroded signal wire and replaced it to the ecm from the egr and now its working fine again the old egr valve was 16 years old so I've decided to keep the new wahler as I could have returned it as incorrect fitment but cars running a lot better

    Maybe it's better to get a full deposit for the Parts and when you have Finished working on their Car and testing it ( Always check and Test your Work Yourself. It is a define Sign of a Good and Competent Mechanic). Anyways let them take your word it Runs and Drives Ok...because unfortunately there are Mostly Bad People out there, who won't pay you..! So, that is something to think about...!🤔

    • @themarvelousvlog
      @themarvelousvlog  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did test drive it myself beforehand. I then asked him to go for a test drive too so that he can tell me if the car is back to normal or not. (I usually go with them but I had a feeling he was decent man so I didn’t this time).
      On expensive parts I take deposit and an hour’s labour for the worst case scenario. In this event I didn’t though 🫣 rookie mistake 😂

    So you’re a fitter, not a technician or mechanic! As a technician, we have the ability to replace the clutch fork not just buy a replacement box.
    And who in there right mind supplies a second hand part ? Get the customer to buy it, then if it’s duff , it’s not your problem!!

    • @themarvelousvlog
      @themarvelousvlog  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If I am a ‘fitter’ then I wouldn’t be able to use real diagnostic tools, not know how vehicle systems work etc… I am a qualified technician but okay, if you say so.
      In regards to supplying a second-hand part, we always tell our customers that there is no guarantee or warranty if when we do supply them. Just because I said we’re going back to this job it doesn’t mean we’re not getting paid for labour.
      Thank you for the comment

      I got wondered if the clutch fork could be replaced so did a quick search and found this video - th-cam.com/video/WefdmtMf7kg/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=AustralianClutchServices
      Yes it is a larger engine, it probably the same press fitting. A gearbox specialist would have the tools to replace the fork.
