Great reaction ! This track has pretty much everything - a seamless and innovative blend of AOR/heavy rock, speed-power metal, and a bit of thrash thrown in at the breakdown before the solo.
This song grew on me. I liked it right away, but I like it even more after many listens. It's really catchy, and I love the solo section.
@@TheCyberMantis It's not my fav on the EP but I certainly like it. Actually, I think this is the most unique track on the EP. You can't really pin any one influence on it. In fact, some may think the chorus is "poppy", but after I have listened to it a few times, the chorus sounds a lot more blues/gospel to me. The ladies are experimenting while retaining their core sound and I'm all for it !

This song has a very commercial sound. I hope it gets radio play because it deserves it. Even though I absolutely love this song, for me it is the third best song on the EP. "Where's Identity?" and "The Bell in the Jail" are the best two songs, and also the two heaviest songs on the EP.
Haruna is using Pearl melodic toms; 8", 10", and 12". She didn't cut them in half, that's how Pearl makes them. Bass drums are 22" and 20", and a 16" floor Tom. Another thing that as a drummer myself I find interesting is she doesn't use "regular" hi hat cymbals. Instead Haruna uses 2, 8" splash cymbals for her hi hats!!!! Enjoyed your reaction
Interesting. I wasn't aware Pearl make drums like that. I think you got those hihat sizes wrong. i just pulled a picture of her kit and they look like either 12 or 14" hihats. 8" hihats would be extremely small and produce almost no sound.
@@teckreactions I have Haruna zipper-hoodie from two years ago, the back shows her whole kit, cymbals identified. 14" hi-hats with an 8" splash mounted above them.
If you watch the UK/EU drum-cam link from gordonnottsfinest180 you will see them clearly. As a drummer myself, Haruna is a "Wizard"
I just got to enjoy her precision, finesse & SMILE last week in Frisco.

@@dregeye Yep. 14" hats with a 8" splash mounted above it. She's not using two 8" splashes as her hi-hats as the OP suggested.
Love this song. Love the band. Love Haruan, she is my favorite drummer.

So "Soldier Stands Solitarily" is not a GENUINE drum solo, I suppose. I'd second that for "Thunder Vengeance", but in reality, all the LOVEBITES songs are Haruna drum solos with underlying guitars, piano and vocals... 🤣
