Started at least 10 attempts to connect the iPhone to the TFT. Thanks to your video I managed to do it. I can't believe how poorly the pairing is explained in the app. According to your video it was done in 2 minutes
Many thanks for the help. I spent several hours yesterday without being able to connect. Today I spent 5 minutes, followed your instructions and everything worked. I have used this GPS a lot and think it is good. I bought a new phone and that's when I had trouble reconnecting. But with your good instructions it was easy. Harald from Norway
Thanks mate, that was excellent and after eight months, Triumph finally gave me a green light on the Navigation function! Really appreciate your persistence and for posting such a useful video.
Thanks for your video! I managed to finally get it to work. I have also, after a few attempts, managed to open the GPX files with the Triumph app and I wanted to add that if you go to where you have the file saved, and open it via the share button, then you select the Triumph app, it will open without giving you any errors. (This is with iPhone) not sure if it is the same with android phones. You can also change the file from .txt to .gpx and the app will recognise it.
Brilliant. Had the Tiger for just over 12 months and now it works!! Loved it, great instructions. Thanks ( bit loose on “right then immediate left” type turns). I could not work out how to get the Map on the App visible…So I ran REVER too. Worked great but would be good to just see it in the T App. Possible?
Such an awesome and clear video. I stumbled upon having it connect randomly, and I think the main point I was missing is returning to the main screen to have the Nav pairing finished doing its thing. All of my milage data comes through, however, Nav never works. When I enter an address and hit start I always get a message on the app get a message saying the app isn’t paired and to pair again. I’m on 1.2.7 and my Bluetooth settings show both Tiger Bluetooth devices are connected. It’s so frustrating. Maybe VINs aren’t in sync. Any ideas?
Hard to know for sure, but it is probably something to do with how iPhones actually have two simultaneous Bluetooth connections, one for audio and one for navigation. Just to check, are you going through the whole process in the video? There are two pairings in total. Other than that maybe trying restarting the phone and then “forgetting” the bike in Bluetooth settings (both connections) then trying again from the start. Good luck!
@@australianadv thanks, yep, your video inspired me to try again, deleted all connections from bike and phone and started from scratch. I get both the green ticks at the end. I’ll get the dealer to have a look at the next service. Thanks for your video, it was tops. I’m determined to get this to work. Cheers.
I have the exact same issue on an iPhone running iOS 16.5. Have both Bluetooth connections up and running but when I start a ride it tells me there is no pairing going on. Pretty frustrating and hope they will sort it out in a future update.
Very helpful. I was able to connect the phone and Cardo headset on the 1st (or may 2nd) try. Might even give the Triumph Navigation a try (as long as I also have Gaia up on the handlebars for reference).
Thanks for this. Can you tell me if once connected to your phone is the speed limit applicable to the road you’re riding on is shown on the TFT as it does in my BMW app. ?

That’s a bummer mate. I don’t know much about the android app but if it’s working in your friends phone is probably something wrong with the app on your phone. Maybe if you kill the app on your phone and restart it it will work again?
Thank you for this video, i like it!! can i ask if is possible to connect smartphone and a gps device (for example TomTom rider 550) at same time to te tiger 900 gt pro? thank you a lot!
I still are bad about it. At 4:55min of the video, pairing navigation with the hike, I still get no progress. It asked pairing Navi to bike. If I say pairing it gets me back into the dead loop of pairing Bluetooth, if I click no pairing it sits there. What a mass
This doesn’t seem to work on the 2024 Tiger. I can get it to pair the phone part, but the navigation bit never prompts for a pair. Sitting on the main screen that the bike starts up with or any other menus, it would seem. Im running the newest version of the software also 1.2.10
That’s a shame, I would have thought they’d have fixed it on the new interface. Unfortunately I don’t have access to the new model so can’t troubleshoot, but if anyone reads this comment and has any tips please let us all know.

Hey Aussie ADV, have you had any issues with importing files greater than 1Mb? I do have an andriod but I keep getting the error that the file is too large.
@@australianadv Thanks. What's weird, is that I deleted a file that was over 1 Mb that was already in the app, but then it wouldn't let me add it back. Very frustrating and very limiting when creating custom routes.
Do you feel like this is in any way more useful than using Beeline or a Zumo XT? Obviously those are external devices, but the amount of hassle with the pairing and the app leaves me pretty discouraged. Thanks for making this video, though. I was beginning to think I was technically deficient. 😂
It’s not as useful as an external device, and I usually just mount my phone on the bars and use that for navigation. It looks nice when I can be bothered to put though. Also handy on dirt where the vibrations can damage phone camera if it’s on a mount.
Good tutorial thanks. Couple of comments. Plug your phone into power, either under the seat or to the accessory points. The Triumph app sucks the phone battery fast, especially using Nav.
