What we are starting to see released-now... are the suitable replacements. The Constellation Series has no place in the new ship-ecosystem and game-dynamic; it's a "very-odd-man-out".

All the newer ships that range are supposed to support and push multicrew just like the Starlancer & co. As long as they're not punching down the Connies like they did with the Corsair, they are perfect as they are now: good capable, big one man ships! That may change later with properly working components and engineering as operating and maintaining the ship at the same time will be pretty hard....but we'll see!
This looks a lot better than what they did with the Hull C interior! I just wish they would get rid of those utterly nonsense into-the-air projected MFDs in MISC ships and make them proper dashboard MFDs!
... god... I hate the dashboard MFDs... unless we are talking about the charming DRAKE variations. I'd much-rather have the more technologically-robust holographic-versions. They just look so cool... and permit for a sleek minimalist look when "unpowered". Very immersive.
The ship looks good, but I am sad that CIG always puts in artificial barriers in their ships... this is no exception. The central cargo area could have been so much more but they just had to ruin it with that stationary concord...

@@OCDCOMMENTS There are some downsides. It's larger and slower than a Freelancer. Loading and unloading will take longer. I doesn't fit nicely under the canopy of the shipping area at distro centers. It's a lot of ship and there's a giant wall between the two cargo sections so loading it won't be easy. I'll probably stick with my FL Max, the Starlancer has a lot of wasted space, the entire mid section is four giant habitation condos. This thing is built like an AirBnB for four couples who had a groupon.
Barely a minute in and now you have me practically yelling about why they haven't updated the Cat yet. But I think it's finally time for me to get back into MISC ships again and it will make a good replacement for my Corsair.

I bought both Starlancers. I'm super excited about them. But for some reason The max is not available in the PTU for me. I have the Polaris too. It is fantastic as well.
The Max shows up as the first ship in your ASOP so be sure to check the top. Do not scroll down to MISC. ALso make sure to re-copy your account to PTU. You need a fresh account copy as of the patch drop.
I kinda like the looks of the ship. Would also think about buying one - if the cockpit would not be so extremely narrow. Its just annoying to just see 1/4 of the beautiful things around.
My question is why does this ship have so many big guns, it got 4 size 4 turret while the ironclad only got size 3, and one size 5, the ironclad is in need of way more fire power then what it got now.
Ironclad is also dedicated hauler. Literally a giant storage container with engines and guns. Starlancer is a multi role ship designed to accommodate multiple variants. It doesn't do cargo as well as the Ironclad, combat as good as a hammerhead or perseus, exploration as well as the carrack, or base building as good as the pioneer, but it does all 4 pretty great depending on the variant

I upgraded from the Freelancer Max to the Starlancer Max today, Now I just have to wait for it's release. Also, The Starlancer does kind of look like a Blue Whale.
I don't mind the letterbox, it's very reminiscent of what you have in irl aircraft. It is unfortunate though that the cockpit itself is very uninteresting. Just lightly textured grey both above and below
The developers had nowhere to put the free space, they drew a bunch of cabins and passages. More cargo grid and free space in the hold, and the imitation of life activity to a minimum. Elevators on spaceships look like an anokhranym. The ascent must be fast. Although this ship is better in terms of space for gameplay.
Good stuff. Now i just got here, but if you're making more ship introductions, just my input/recommendation. Remember you are moving the viewers point of view, some handle quick movements better than others. Smooth movements are for many preferable, both in mouse and movements speed. If you want to take it one step further, it could be a good idea to get some bearing before introduction, as that would help for the sense of orientation for us not in control of movements. Likely to get a good amount of larger ships ahead too. Other than that, good video, keep it up. As you said, there would be thousand videos about this ship, yet we found you first, not a bad place to start.
Yes, I need to focus on slowing down. I was so excited I was whipping the camera around too fast. Apologies. I'll focus on improving this for my next video.

I could get for $10 CCU’ing my Andromeda. My concern is they appear so desperate for money now, I’m concerned the whole company is going to fail and vanish. I’ll lose >$1,000 as it is. Am I the only person with this concern?
This ship is pretty cool but it feels too sterile and claustrophobic for me personally. The interior also seems hard to navigate. Love the exterior, the size and the functionality though.
The interior is a bit asymmetric and confusing. And the rear area is like four hab units, each the size of a small house. They could have simplfied the habs and used that space to double the cargo capacity.
I was excited. I logged in and checked it out about 10 minutes and melted it. I like ships that make me smile I do not really care about usefeullness. It is ugly in my opinion it looks like a pinguin laying on its belly.
if this is starlancer max version, I hope they bring out an starlancer mis or non max that is skinnier, more nimble like something between a freelancer and the starlancer max, I'm not a huge fan of the freelancer as its design is dated.
It's very pretty, but I guess I must be completely over Star Citizen cause for me it's like looking at a blender animation. (entertaining to look at, but not something I care about beyond that) Even though I could probably melt some stuff and buy one without new money I've got no desire to play with one in the mess that SC has become. I happened to see a nice looking thumbnail for the video and I like sci-fi spaceships so I watched it. I used to be interested in Star Citizen and spent a ton of money on it and I do know that they've got talented artists even if they can't seem to make a game out of their art. Last iae and invictus the patch caused my game to crash constantly. I didnt get to participate at all and there were several others who had the same problem. It better not happen again man. My patience is running super thin.
@ combined firepower of the star lander is better, especially the tac. Besides, I prefer size 4s over 5s as mains. When using laser cannons the 5s overheat so easy on the Corsair.

I recommend less erratic movement. For a good walkthrough slow mouse movement and walking is key.

The mail slot glass is a bummer.
They should add an augmented reality to our helmets that make the dash and head liner transparent. That cockpit view is horrible.

thats not the default paint for the ship, it is a special paint that wont be sold after its initial selling phase
