My sister was 6, I was 7 and my brother was 9 when this song was released in 1972. My mom was 31 and had finally found the courage to leave a physically abusive marriage to my father, she took us three kids and left everything else to my father. She loved this song more than any other at the time! She lived the words to this song! and now at 78 yrs old, still loves this song more than any other.
Your mom made the right decision, she put her children (her flesh and blood) first and left an abusive marriage. Please take good care of her.
Im 61 now but as a young teen this song always came on when I was going through stuff but as cue to me that Id always overcome, Tell your Mom' You Go Girlfriend."
I love and respect your mom. A great lady.
The Grand Tour brought me here too. Time for episode 2!
Can't wait
May this brother rest in peace !!! Awesome song!!
R.I.P. Johnny Nash, my first 45 (that Tinkerbell didn't tell me when to turn the page).
Johnny Nash, you were my first, possibly the best, 45 ever!
You will be missed.
Rest on Johnny Nash. Thanks for all the beautiful music.
I deal with depression and listening to this song not only put's a nice Cha Cha in my step but a huge smile too. I've loved it for years but just started listening to it daily for a pick me up.
R.I.P. Johnny Nash, thanks for the memories...
