Interestingly, Johnson can't be infected by the Flood when he's supposed to be alive.
However, as soon as you glitch him past the Spark cutscene, he can be infected.
When he gets infected, his character shouts "ain't I supposed to be immune to this?"

The best hidden character is the arbiter, now hear me out, on the 360 version of combat evolved you go to missions and choose “The Silent Cartographer” and hover over it, it shows marines shooting at a mysterious elite. Now if you look at the armor and weapon it’s the halo 3 energy sword with the arbiter armor.
Could this be an arbiter that died during the events of installation 04, or 343 just put that there as an Easter egg. I don’t know but I love it

I just checked the OG PC version, Xbox CE, CE Anniversary MCC and Xbox 360, and finally SPV3 and it doesn't show anything of the sort, sorry bud.

@@glxst Actually it does exist, just not in the game, where I think Something fox Studios is getting confused by. On the 360 version of Halo CE Anniversary, when you are in the menu select screen for the Campaign missions. If you scroll down to the Mission Silent Cartographer, the little artwork they have for the mission, shows a bunch of marines fighting the Arbiter from Halo 3. Its hard to see as normally the Difficulty logo is blocking the Arbiter. General Heed even did a video on it. And you can see it is clearly the Arbiter. I think it was some easter egg 343 threw in.

That leaked screenshot is actually a screenshot from an OLD gold source game called gunman chronicles. They just shopped chief into it.
The best looking game made in Gold Source was Half-Life and it's other parts. How would that look almost realistic?

Imo Marty deserves that cameo more than Frank who kinda led the franchise straight into the ground.
On 343 guilty spark throw 4 gernades asap and youll stay in the pelican. Or can jump in the back and keep running into it to get an achievement and get out of bounds

as a side note, you can also get to Jenkins a more easy way as opposed trying to jump onto the pelican, the second it touches down, spam the throw grenade button until you throw a grenade. You will most likely see a checkpoint reached, and interestingly enough you will notice that master chief doesn't get out of the pelican. The pelican will ascend and take off with you still inside. The pelican will fly for maybe 10 seconds before it runs aground on the edge of the map. From there you can walk around the edge of the map and find jenkins and also skip all the covenant that you normally would encounter. Eventually you will find the entrance to the base and when you drop down you will find the covenant fleeing the base with floating assault rifles firing off at them before the rifles fall to the ground.
I always do this on legendary and LASO playthrough
I can imagine that Bungie and 343 just hid a bunch of random stuff in inaccessible places just assuming that the player base would find a way to glitch to it
Best one is the tiny Skirmisher on the rooftop of the farm in Winter Contingency.

The thing about Sergeant "Shawnson"... Halo 1 had two Sergeants; Johnson and Stacker and there were several locations where a Marine Sergeant would be present, but *which* sergeant it is, between Johnson or Stacker, would be randomized. So Johnson apparently has *several* dopplegangers.
I think the most prominent theory about the Black Visor spartan from Pillar of Autumn was that it’s a trigger for the mission fail if you don’t destroy the covenant ship trying to glass the Autumn
fun fact, there is 4 cavemen in the first halo 3 level. its outside the map in a rock at the end of the level. also in the covenant, the red elite gets there by a green phantom crashing into the ground. the phantom phases through the floor. theres also a blue elite but he often get launched out of the map by the phantom lol
6:43 I know it's a bit late, but this marine is actually hard to find. You have to get to him real quick or he despawns/doesn't spawn. You might have to play it from the start of the level but it's been so long, I don't really remember.

That is not Jenkins. For one Jenkins wears a helmet and 2 "loads up the character model" makes no sense, as all the other cut-scene models aren't anywhere in the map; that and you never see Jenkins in the cut-scene itself.
The model standing there is Private Mendoza, who runs towards the door in the cut-scene and dies leaning up against the door. I'm almost 100% sure it was left there for scaling purposes.
^ this. It's extremely common to place any standard biped in a scene when you're building it to keep track of scale. You don't always remember to remove it. It could, also, possible be something to do with loading though. Don't know enough to say but I wouldn't rule it out 100%.
I didn't know "something you literally see and hear immediately after reaching a certain point that the game directed you to" counted as a secret

Also, the "half naked man" is the cofounder of Bungie who was the project lead for Halo Combat Evolved, and Halo 2, named Jason Jones. "If you load this cutscene up.." That cutscene would be in the level Gravemind.

I knew about holding your stick right to see Linda in Reach for years, but i'm just now figuring out about holding your stick left to see the caveman in ODST. Also, there's another freaked out Marine in ODST, on Uplift Reserve. He's by the covenant ship's grav-pad, complaining about the humans being animals in the zoo while the Covenant are the lions.
I remember first learning about him years ago, when I was watching Achievement Hunter’s video on Vidmaster Challenge: Classic on Halo Waypoint.

It should be noted that this is a non-canon Easter Egg of John as he is either in space or he is somewhere else on the Pillar of Autumn at the time.”
You forgot the Marine in Halo 3 that is locked out of a room and having an argument with the person on the inside (sounds like Caboose from Red vs Blue)

I think that black spartan in the pillar of autum is meant the to be the player controlled camera that allows you to see chief at the end of the pillar of autumn cutscene. and since the cutscenes are in real time, they keep the spartan there for when the cutscene eventually triggers. Then they spawn in the necessary stuff for the cutscene.
The half naked dude is Jason Jones (Halo/destiny project lead and co founder of Bungie) at the annual Bungie pentathlon.

My favorite one is the Halo 4 “Johnson” Easter egg, that one was cool.

Those masterchief "statues" are most likely scale references they used when creating the levels, and then they forgot to remove them.

The "broken marine" in 343 Guilty Spark is a blatant and obvious "Aliens" reference, and it hurts me that this goes unnoticed now. Have people not watched Aliens? So much of CE is either a direct homage, or clearly inspired by, Aliens. The broken marine is Hudson, he might as well be screaming "game over man, game over!". Johnson is Apone, 100%. The whole headcam bit is a nod to the Hive scene in Aliens, complete with the cocky marine banter in the initial insertion, to skulking around an abandoned location, until the squad is overwhelmed one by one. Finding Keyes wrapped up in biomass is a nod to the colonists cocooned in Aliens; he might as well ask Chief to kill him too. The pilots in both have very similar voices and speech patterns. The Pillar of Autumn is clearly inspired by the Sulaco, and the dropships in both share a lot of design language.
I love how much Halo was inspired by Aliens, just a shame it goes over people's heads these days :(

for the first one all you have to do is when you are landing in the pelican at the very beginning of the level button mash the grenade button and you will ride the pelican to the top of the cave entrance instead of jumping on top of the pelican.
The cave men are a reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey.
You also forgot to mention that Mendoza talks if you shoot at his feet.

On 343 guilty spark when you spawn in throw a grenade before the pelican dumps you out and itll drive you into the mountain and then get out and walk right up to the marine with his face in the tree

there's also a pelican you can get inside of in halo 2. i forgot what mission it was on but you need a warthog to get to it.
Linda is in the cyropod, not John. John, Linda, and I think Fred was the 3rd, went to a spacestation in orbit of reach to destroy a navigational database that was left in tact that would lead the covenant to earth. During this mission linda was mortally wounded so in order to save her until they could get to a medical facility, They put her into the cryopod to freeze her until she could receive medical attention

I do not know the marine's name, but in Reach on the mission Oni Sword Base there is a marine and an elite that if in the gauss hog's cannon, will get nonstop headshots. I learned about the elite the hard way.
When halo 2 came out I thought Johnson and the arbiter where the ones in the halo 1 legendary ending and had somehow survived the explosion, later on I found out it was just an easter egg
You can also just stay on the pelican by immediately throwing a grenade as the mission starts.

Ive never noticed at the end when the Johnson and the elite hug the elite moves his hand down to Johnsons booty and vis versa in anniversary mode

There is an easier way to stay on the pelican on 343 guilty spark with no risk of falling off when the pelican lands throw a bunch of grenades out of it this will stop you from hopping out, the pelican will then fly off with you still inside
I like how in the CE remaster they had "Johnson" grab the Elite's ass instead of the Elite grabbing "Johnson's"
