Let y = x^2 - 2
then putting in equation we get
y°2 = x+2
adding these equations
x^2+x = y^2+y
x^2-y^2 +x-y = 0
(x-y) (x+y+1)=0
( x-x^2+2 ) (x+x^2-2+1) = 0
( x^2- x-2) ( x^2+x - 1) = 0
rest follows at once

x^4 - 4x^2 + 4 = x+ 2
F(x) = 4x^3= 12x^2
12x^2 - 4x^2 = 8x^2
F'(x)8x^2 = 16x
16x - x = 15x
15x = 2- 4
x = -2 / 15
x = - 0.13333

I looked at it and said 2. Then I watch the vidio thinking there would be only two solutions. I wasn't expectig four solutions. I guess that shows how long it has been since I have done math at this level.
