Loved how you're keeping Bob in the videos 🎉 Kudos! Plus I've done several of these stretches *within* my body's ability. Effective!! Love how you show options ❤
I love these guys. They are cheerful, humorous, encouraging, and certainly well versed in their profession. Their voices are so gentle, soothing and peaceful that even your stress level will go down as you imagine yourself doing the exercises, or actually get up and do them!! 🤣😂These guys are like good neighbors! I thank God for their earnest contribution to our well being! 🙏❤💕⚘🌟⚘💕❤🙏
I was a belly dancer for years and one of the most beneficial stretches I did and still do is a 90 degree standing stretch. Hands flat on a hip height counter, obviously feet on the floor, bend to 90 degree, feet aligned with shoulders and pretend something is pulling your hip straight back, very little twist. It’s my go to stretch. Shoulders, arms, back, core, hips, hamstrings and calves.
One older Fed Ex employee told me "The longer you move the longer you can keep moving!" Moving's fine, staying stills a drag, that's where a glass of wine comes in handy!
So nice to see Bob. It’s silly but because Bob’s advice on Plantar Fasciitis cured me after 6 months of pain, I think of him as a friend. Your channel is so very appreciated. I truly wish for the best for you all- especially Bob.
Thank you so much for everything you guys are doing. You guys should release videos like 'Stretches in your 50s', 'HIIT / Cardio in your 50s', 'Strength training in your 50s' etc. And you could do it for 40s, 60s, 70s as well. I would buy it
Oh wow the first exercise is a game changer it has really helped me get out of bed and once I am up no more pain, please try this I'm 65 and it really has taken away my aches and pains. Thank you guys so much. (I use my head board for the exercise, 10 minutes)
Thank you! Perfect timing. I am a nurse and I'm feeling like a rusty car. I am in my 40+ years of bedside care, now working in a rehab environment. These patients need a lot my energy. I will begin using these 7 stretches after my next two 13hr shifts and let you know how it helps.
I access Bob and Brad and Mike videos or exercises every morning before getting out of bed and it helps so much when I start the day with their stretches. When I'm in a rush and skip days, I have so much more pain and less stamina and less strength going through the day. I need so much for plantar fasciitis and heel spur pain before I even get out of bed. That first exercise was great. I have until November to get strong and pain-free to keep up with much younger people on a pilgrimage to Israel. I'm ordering the first book. These videos and the recommendations of other physical therapists keeps me motivated.
Never one to exercise bc I’ve always held physical jobs. However, the other night I had trouble getting up off the floor. So, I’ll give some of these a shot, to see if any help, otherwise, my exercise plan is to practice getting up off the floor every night.😅 12:45 done that stretch every morning before getting out of bed for decades, whether or not I do anything else.
Brad…I also have spondylolisthesis and cat/camel is a no no for me…anytime I accidentally do too much overhead reaching or bend backwards ouch! Also I was avid kayak person before this (last year) and stopped. I probably shouldn’t pick up the boat anymore….and I avoid twisting. I did get the ball for that exercise you do….Thanks…Nancy
Thank you! I already do a few of these but will try some of the ones new to me. I have mild fibromyalgia plus symptomatic sacral Tarlov cysts, and I have to keep moving or my body gets tight and painful all over. PT keeps me pain med-free!🙂
I'm almost 70. I tried this stretch and found it difficult to position my legs against the wall. The mat I used made it difficult for me to get my legs fully against the wall. I do not have carpet. Could you please recommend exercises or a technique to lead up to this exercise. As I tried inching my back forward towards the wall it was pretty difficult. And experienced minor pain in my lower back Thank you. I follow your channel and enjoy the content.
love the Bob and Brad looking at globe. Great to let us know some others that you promote, as I don't want to follow most other videos. Nice to ask Bob about stuff while off screen. BTW I do the reverse clam shell and call it the BOB as that is who showed first to me. I pray for you most times I do the BOB
Legs up the wall is a great go to yoga position with several variations and progression. Bottom line is Start yoga young and don't stop😊 or do these as Senior yoga mod!
Everyone has different symptoms with motion. My Extension pain has improved over the last couple of years. I believe this is from very consistent and specific back exercises I do. See our Playlist on this topic for complete details. Sincerely Brad
Stretch #1: Four Sockets(4 x 120v). Electrocution or Vice Versa. Pick your choice Stretch #2: Putting Societates Alimentorum "Fibra" out of business Stretch #3: Portraying between "Jaguar & Cheetah" Stretch #4: In Memory of Ben Gazzara's 1960's series Stretch #5: Rock-A-Bye Baby standing up Stretch #6: Horizontal "Rug Burn" Crucifixion Stretch #7: "Grounded" Chairmanship Thank you!
Well with the first one shown I would form more of a star with my shoulders, instead of holding them at 90,° because if you get them just above it you actually do get a much much better pec stretch
WOW, getting older is a lot of work! Stretches, Exercises, make sure you stay hydrated (!), keep the mind flexible( do crosswordpuzzles) man I'm 60, and already too tired!🤣 thanks gents!
I do mobility & strength training 5xwk 2.5 hrs. but about 4 days ago I was doing ab exercises on a pad and a day later I felt lower back discomfort and my husband noticed a deep curve in my lower back. What did I do? pain hurts standing & walking. sleeping and sitting no pain. I hope i didn’t cause any damage to my spine. Lordosis?

Thank you so much for sharing! What if the first 2 cause my wrist to feel tender? Should I stretch my hands first? (Basal joint arthritis/carpal tunnel early stages). Love your channel so much!
Thank you for all these back stretches! ❤️ I've got a pinched nerve on my left lumbar. None of my Dr's are telling me how to fix it permanently. Can it repair itself with stretches? 🤔

@@BobandBrad I understand. I was only looking for general info. But it's okay. My Dr did say, this morning after I wrote this, that my issue can be fixed with stretches that I've been doing in PT. Thank you! ❤️
The only time I have a problem stretching is at a restaurant where I'm treating.... It's very difficult for me to reach my wallet.... The older I get the harder it is to make that stretch....
So my daughter, the one who got beat by a trans person (woman?) is at a wedding 💒 in Bordeaux and didn't her fiances' mom just get back from her customary Spa retreat in Bali, meanwhile back at the ranch here I managed to get my 1st yoga mat albeit at the thrift shop (much to my surprise). So glad to know when I'm well off!

These postures are there in yogasanas. When combined with proper inhalation and exhalation, they have immense benefits. Thanks for sharing.
No problem!
Thanks Brad and Bod...keep moving the body...

Watch out for those cramps. For the scratches that are new for u. Good basic stretching 👍

Should childs pose be avoided with knee problems like bone on bone/ osteoarthritis? Seems like it would put stress on knee joint.

I would like to see how Mike got into position on the foam roller for #1.
Just laid the roller on the floor and lined his back up to it!

Still want to see a video of him doing this. How you get up on the foam roller and have your butt and legs flush up against the wall. ??
