Be surprised if they build it? If they do, and Dealers, jack up the price, making it unaffordable, then it may have a short shelf life. The concept is beautiful, hope it sees the light of day, with a go fast engine, and sound to match, not some whimpy sound, like some critter, with his rocks, nailed to a tree stump!

This is a picture of the real concept car that was presented to the public at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show. It had an interior but there's no telling if it had a motor or was operational. Mazda promotion literature implies the car will be available in 2025 and it will most likely be powered with their new hybrid rotary motor. The updated model shown at the 2023 Tokyo Auto Show has already been modified into a smooth, aerodynamic rounded body shape with less sharp angles. However, it is being called the RX7, so it's most likely a step toward the RX9. No information on cost yet.
