HI! Thank you for the amazing demo. I have a few questions about the Mingles module.
Are the six inputs dedicated to audio signals only, or can they also handle CV signals (such as LFOs)?🤔

Very impressed! Definitely digging its function! Obsidian was only overriding Mingles' built-in LFO, correct?
The LFO shapes available on Mingles are triangle and square, right? Can only one be used at a time? I think it's a square wave, not a pulse. As always, I might be wrong...
    Great work!

Yep, I was using Obsidian as an alternative LFO.
Mingles has two shapes Tri and Square and you can change between them on the back.
Square id a more accurate/specific description of a pulse wave. You're right, it would have been more accurate to call it a square wave. But, it can still be called a pulse wave. It's similar to calling a square a rectangle. A square is technically a rectangle... But a rectangle is a broader definition that encompasses a square and other shapes. Does that make sense?

@@braintree56Haha, yeah, I wasn't actually sure, I just remember reading about Mingles. Technically speaking, isn't a square wave derived from a pulse wave, or am I wrong?
Excellent video and explanation of Mingles. The way you break things down and make them understandable is light years better than all these other synth dudes on TH-cam. Great work!

I’m looking at a new VCA and Aikido is on my list and while they’re not the same, there seems to be a lot of overlap between these and I’m wondering if you think it’s a bit redundant to have them both

I've never used Aikido but have looked into it as well. There might be some overlap between these two, but I think they are very different. The Aikido has envelope followers and side chain compression. Spectral followers, etc. mingles is primarily a Panner. I would say they are very different! Get both!

Was hoping you showed how the 2 sub mixes worked more given that is the unique feature of this mixer. I already have Xpan and Pan Mix, and was wondering how this would compare. It’s clearly way cheaper.
I would pick this as a better option to X-pan unless you need the cross fade option. That module can be hard to use given how packed it is. The configuration is not very flexible actually because you need to use pan as level control for crossfade or cross fade as level control for panned signals so mixing 4 mono signals really doesn’t work as half will always be full volume and you can mix to all 4 full volume and alternate to the opposite 2 full volume. Nothing less.
Pan Mix does this thing better except it doesn’t have the left right sub mix, as it’s more a real mixer cv a CV mixer/vca. Pan Mix while hard to find has 6 mono or 4 mono 2 stereo inputs with pan or level control by CV with attenuverters, headphone out, stereo out and inputs/outputs on the back to chain to other mixers. Bring your own LFOs and Envelopes though. Has LEDs for level and clipping too and so much headroom it is insane.
Nice to have another option out there at a nice price. I can see use cases where this is better at mixing 3 wave forms or noise sources into the VCA. I output the 2 I have into VCAs to do that. I would try mixing wave forms into left channel with a medium envelope then the other channel with noise with a super short envelope to make a transient and use the sum mix out. You could loop pan the transient as well.

Always good to have options. The x-pan is great too. The price on this is just awesome. :)
