Rising freedom and immortal justice are not as cool as their predecessors, but I think the new suits are meant to be downgrades. Because maybe they had a peace treaty and they cant have the nuclear reactors in the mobile suits. I think it might be good for the story if Kira doesnt have Strike Freedom. Because that mobile suit was insanely OP. Like there are no stakes if Kira was piloting the Strike Freedom or an actual upgrade of it.
That makes sense, just hope there's run time in a movie for a new suit to come through.

Bro you are on it! I was thinking about this yesterday and realized the x10a and x20a were nuclear powered and if I remember correctly they had a treaty against nuclear powered suits
Yeah and those “dumb thrusters” and gauntlets made the most sense as beam shields can act both offensive and defensive depending on the needs and knowing that the physical shield is going to get thrown alot i’d say kira is going to need the beam shield. Now those “dumb thrusters” on the shoulder made the most sense when considering how kira fights with the freedom ( he likes to do cart wheels in the air) and in MA mode thrusters fold down to increase thrust. As for the MA mode itself which is ugly as hell and stupid just like wing’s bird mode. (I genuinely hate the slap wings and shield and call it a day, looks good from the top looks stupid from the bottom.) MA mode made sense as it decrease power consumption during traveling to the battlefield and since it no longer had a nuclear powered engine it need to save as much power as possible
@@d4vilskr Haha The trusters themselves aren't the problem, the Freedom and Strike Freedom both had them but they flowed into the design instead of sticking out so far. If the shoulders folded down in the MA mode it'd look better and serve more of a prupose but 100% agree, it doens't look good.
It’s most likely each of their first suits and they’ll be destroyed leading to better designs. Come on guys this ain’t any of our first gundam series we know how this works.
Don't worry, there will be 50+ variant of this kit within the next few yrs....it'll be great when the release a Remaster version.

I feel this beats the purpose, in all the posters and promos you can see they are going for a blue vs red aesthetic. Immortal justice is full red and rising freedom is full blue. This looks just the same gundam colors we have.

I kinda like Rising Freedom better than the Freedoms. Always preferred Strike, Impulse, and Destiny over the Freedoms. Rising Freedom has that Pepsi Blue kind of cool feels to it.
agree on the shields being the worst and the shoulder edgy knight spikes both needs to go... transformation is very laughable. i feel they made the movie to sell toys to a younger target audience for gunpla

Yeah I do loved the the Rising Freedom it is more modern version of the original Freedom than the Strike Freedom.It’s not like I hate the Strike Freedom but at times when I look at it I feel like they make it too over the top with it especially the gold parts
If the Rising Freedom Gundam uses the Variable Phase Shift armor, the colors might significantly change with things like engine replacements.
In movies where the mobile suits are depicted through computer graphics, we might even see the colors vividly change frequently during battles.
I'm very excited about it.

I like the rising and immortals designs because of their downgrade call back design to the Seed second season, just hate the stupid transformations, and I like the zeta recolor idea you presented.

Rising Freedom looks like and reminds me of what happened in Gundam 00. The people making them in CE are probably running on a low budget, so they recycled parts from the cut up Destiny Gundam.
While it may sound lazy, I actually like this kind of design-based worldbuilding, especially since iirc the promotionals are saying that the last war destroyed the economy. Something like this is pretty new for Seed after all, if it's intentional.
I just absolutely hate how the wings have a sportscar aesthetic.
Getting rid of the shoulder fins seems like a good idea, but I would also replace that stiletto shoes with the feet of the Wing EW, and maybe incorporate the leg transformation for a more streamline in MA mode, maintain the two energy shields in the forearms, and bring back the face vents I really miss those.
The transformation is a55, like why even include it in the first place, it seems like an after thought just because it's already got the wings that make it look like the wing gundam but somehow worse
I just wish the designs were more detailed since they went full cg animation on the mobile suites. all the surfaces seem very flat and even the places there are panel lines just don't feel... mechanical? It feels like one of my early attempts to add panel lines to a high grade where afterwards I'm like "oh those lines just don't make sense"
I’d do mostly what you suggest, but I’d make the wings able to fold completely over the shoulders and somehow create a shroud akin to deathscythe hell. That way the wings surround it and somewhat obfuscate it in flight form? Id also make the shield cover the head, like opposite of the Wing. Also I realized in its current implementation, it looks like the rail guns can fold out of the wings during flight form.
Thats an interesting idea, I was hoping for some thing different from the wing and that would be really different. Haha I'm not sure I could do it but I'm for sure gonna mess around with that idea
I like the Zeta-inspired one, but we already have that in Destiny Gundam.
Since they love to copy U.C. so much, I think they're trying to emulate the transformation of Re-GZ.

I like the Rising Freedom’s design.
It evolving just backwards
it suffered from the aerial rebuild syndrome. too much light blue on the top. color separation on torso became really minimal. the freedom original color scheme definitely works best. if it was me i would get rid of the small singular wing blade and the shoulder fins. this would make the wings flare up properly in kinda X shape (and one less thing to worry about when posing)
their new engineer had skill issue, aerial rebuild was work of their new engineer too 😮💨
they just kitbash it in a worst way, i prefer helios that has destiny and freedom element in their parts
Losing the shield is a huge upgrade. Having a flying shield is not very freedom like but more justice
the thing that bothers me the most is the face honestly, reminds me of that one famous close up frame from Gundam 0079 where the RX-78 looks all wonky
Personally I'm fine with the design, except for the bulky, round gauntlets.
The color scheme and transformation however are terrible. Color scheme is so boring and literally just seems like they're making it more blue to contrast the Justice's red scheme.
As for the transformation, I've always hated transforming mobile suits. I'm here for giant mechs, not awkward looking fighter jets.
I honestly like this design. I like how the white and blue makes it look more serene and peaceful, and that it more closely resembles the original Freedom. The Strike Freedom's a bit overdone in my eyes, and that funnel and propulsion system is pure BS. It seriously needs to eject the funnels so it can use it's "Wings of light" feature to fly faster? That just seems very poorly thought out.
Forgot to get rid of the shield, add another rifle and add a centre beam cannon.

To be honest I like the Rising Freedom more than the Strike Freedom.
The white part on the shoulder needs to go. It looks like. Gundam's foot was kitbashed on his shoulder.
I hope they do a ver ka version for mg and redesign it to look better.
in my opinion, in wave rider form, bandai could have experimented on a reverse wing design. in this way, the cannons will have been usable when pointing towards the front. more intimidating too...

maybe they couldve just quit stowing the cannons in the wings and instead just go with the Destiny Impulse R route, where the cannons just attached to the backpack pointing straight up, so no need to do some funky movements to fire, just drop down over the shoulders in ms mode, while being usable in flight mode

Looks good in action and looks good as a model kit. The line art looks like ass because the line art always looks bad
Totally, that's why I used the model kit for testing color schemes, makes it easier to tell what looks good and what doesn't work.

It's funny most people are so offended by this design but gave aerial completely a full pas or even admire knowing that it have the most messed up proportion in modern gundam history
Do y'all think they should've just used the Strike Freedom over the Rising Freedom design? Hit me with a yes or a no and why.
Simple. NO. Just like Freedom never gotten downgraded after Seed CE71 and came back unchanged and still was more powerful than impluse and Savior was. Strike Freedom will probably be stored, maintenance, and heavily upgraded. After this suit is probably done or Kira needs more firepower. The Strike Freedom will probably return to Kira and probably be upgraded.
the Strike Freedom still does exist as it was entirely intact from Destiny. Rising Freedom is an entirely separate machine.
I personally never gelled with the Freedom color scheme, and i actually prefer the Rising Freedom over any of the Freedom. With bias, nah. The Rising Freedom design rocks.
SF probably would still appear in the movie, tho its use illegal with the banning of its nuclear engine.
The whole reason why this guy and Immortal Justice is weaker than their predecessors is because they have this peace treaty where all nuclear weapons got banned so these mobile suits doesn't have nuclear engine and instead are powered by battery like the OG G-Weapons from Seed.
It's seed bad design is a feature not a bug.
I got a feeling after Kira is over run and his mobile suit gets taken out athrun is going to show up with his strike freedom and his justice and tell him we need to end this
I love the rising gundam but the little nubs on the antennas is annoying for the kit

rising freedom and immortal justice are suppose to be inferior versions for the freedom and the justice, because freedom and justice are powered by nukes, while rising freedom and immortal justice are not
Why does rising freedom seem like is from a gunpla series rather than it’s own! Rising gundam merging with freedom gundam is more like it!
nahh if my theory was right, the rising freedom and the new justice Gundam will get smashed and smoke by other mobile suits, that's why I think kira will decide to move on his own and try to get the Strike freedom back , (cause it was hidden somewhere or it gets banned from using) shinn will get back the Destiny or impulse and athrun with justice. 3 of them will smoked this wannabes

I wish that Bandai would keep the concept of Freedom & Strike Freedom Freedom Gundam combined both of them as one like Extreme Gundam Type Leos II or Extreme Gundam Type Exa Phase Type
Even though it’s that disappointing to you, it’s not nice to say that it’s a bad Gundam as a lot of people like it so much. It’s definitely one of my favourite Gundams so far.

I don't find the designs are as bad as people said, but still dislike those MA forms and find them unnecessary.
Maybe unless you figure that in MA mode they can have longer launch times and are able to deploy way ahead of carries. Think the reason Orb we went with the Murasama over the M1 Astray as mainstay.
Why disappointed? RF and ImJ are simply vehicles for daily use. Just like you wont get disappointed when you see Kasami Hyato driving a normal car on the road. The real predecessors of SF and InJ are yet to come.
To me, this looks like Cosmic era, Zeta gundam.
More like cosmic era wing gundam but worse since the transformation is just lazy, there's literally no complexity to its transformation unlike the zeta which has a unique transformation that actually tries to hide the gundam
no it's not.
Too many of them have the backup backup backup backsystem. That doesn't really let the mobile suits you know, transform properly.

Honestly i stopped carung fir seed when they dropped the strike gundam, the freedom always looked too cluttered for me
