    Nice job! I use Tamiya enamel model paint and apply it using a 5ml syringe with a 26gauge needle. It's super controllable!

    Im just painting a Scotty Cameron Studio One with three colors, as well as Blueing the putter. I'm glad I found this because it was tricky trying to fill the letters without over flow and It has a crown as well, so now I will let that dry as per your video, I was thinking of using a blade to scrape the excess as the main lettering is on the bottom. but acetone would work too. Thanks for the insight.

    Great video. I am thinking of doing this to my Studio Select Fastback 1.5. This definitely gives me some ideas and confidence that I can do it.

    I've only worked with acrylic paint in matte colors, thanks for showing me enamel painting! My technique is probably better described as caveman-with-gluesticks, but if doing a wedge or iron with a non-porous surface (e.g. chrome), I simply clean out the old, slather in the paint with a modeling brush, let dry fully, and scrape away the excess with a tongue depressor. Finish is the same as shown in the video with towel and acetone. Multiple coats may be necessary.
    Thanks again for the lesson!

    I have been painting for many years. When I do putters, I use candy colors which are translucent. Opaque paints make it more of a solid color. When I wipe it off I use a lint free cloth, like a flour sack towel. I pull it over my finger really tight and just touch acetone. Then wipe the excess off. If you remove to much add paint, let dry and try again. Best of luck everyone. 👍

    Hey good video and very interesting BUT there is possibly an easier method for some people out there
    Use a syringe when paint filling
    A much much smaller exit hole and any excess paint can be sucked back into the syringe itself, thus saving wasting paint so to speak

    Cool vid as always:) When I do paintfills I use nail polish that I "borrow" from my girlfriend. It's just more accessable for me. You need to work quite fast though because nail polish tends to dry very quickly and if you take to long painting an area you can get some marks of the bristles on the paint. For a translucent effect I mix the nail polish with some nail varnish which gives me the same effect. To do the clean up I use acetone.

    great video. Are you applying anything like alcohol on the dots prior to the paint? Or just the paint. I seem to be getting pop when I apply the paint. (I'm using Tamiya X-27) thank you

    Do you add a sealer or clear coat to the paint ? How log does the paint on the underside last if your playing or have you done any paint fills with writing on the underside of the club?

    After you paint the letters take a scotch brite pad and swipe it off while it's still wet. That's how they do it at SC

    So if I have a silver Scotty it's no problem I put some paint remover on the metal

    I have the black Select Newport 2, will the paint remover affect the finish on putter itself?

    Have you ever paint filled the letters on the grip? I want to paint a different color in the "Scotty Cameron" on the (rubber) grip, but I don't know if that's possible? Will the same kind of acrylic paint work?

    Hey, I just watched your video on the pt2 and the pt pro comparison. I also play for my church and I'm looking to buy a pedalboard for all my pedals. My question is how did you find the pedaltrain at such a low price? I want to save some bucks and I would appreciate the help! Thanks!

    do you reuse the bottles and needles? are they easy to clean out?

    • @dtvolleyball
      @dtvolleyball  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      jmorihlatko Yes I reuse them. I have a bottle with acetone in it and put the dirty tip on it and spray some acetone through the tip. If i forget and the paint dries, i throw them out.

    • @dtvolleyball
      @dtvolleyball  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cameron Meek Hey, they're called picks. I picked these up a long time ago for another purpose, but mine were made by Snap-On

    Great vid, one question. When I do the bombs in the scotty with the clear green, I don't get that translucent look, what is your secret?

    • @dtvolleyball
      @dtvolleyball  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** I do the edges first. The paint pools higher against the walls when you use an applicator. Then i just fill in the rest with paint.

    • @duke8192
      @duke8192 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Excellent, looks much better now, thank you for the tip. I used to just drop the paint in the middle and let it spread.

    Acetone slower? EVERYONE, save yourself some time and money. Get acetone, about 10 q-tips. dip the q-tip, roll it over letters 1 or 2 at a time and your putter is clean in 3 minutes or less.
