  • In this video I walk along a vast remote section of the Victorian Coastline as a 1900s shipwrecked sailor. I'm joined by @TheSillySwagman as we scavage what we can find along the coast, build makeshift bushcraft shelters on the beach and aim for the nearest lighthouse.

One thing I love about these collaborations is seeing two totally different perspectives of the same adventure from two very different creators. Loved them both and they were nothing like each other. Keep them up, it's what makes TH-cam so much better than TV.

Thanks for watching! Yeah Mattsy captured the banter and fun of the trip so well in his video I thought I'd go for a more moody feel. This wasn't my regular type of editing, but it was fun to do something different.

Great watch! Enjoyed the “silent” storytelling, something different! And I loved the dedication to the filming with that intro 😂

Cheers thanks heaps. Usually I don't do the silent films, but Mattsys version had so much great banter, I thought I'd give it a go here. Haha your the first person to appreciate my dedication to the intro .. I actually filmed that intro on the last day when we had finished the walk .. we drove to the beach near the start and I got in the water with all my gear .. it was so bloody cold and raining .. but I had to do it for a good intro 😄

Yeah thanks for watching, one of my favourite sleeping spots. Only problem with those stones is they burst when they were close to the fire. We tried to clear them as much as possible but one still burst in the night and a hot coal landed on Mattsys eye (lucky he was sleeping and it was closed)

I gotta ask, I noticed when you put your boots on at the start that the top material that goes around your leg is different to the rest of the boot. Are they gaiters, or a part of the boot? It looks super comfortable and I'm really curious about your shoe setup there.

Thanks for appreciating mate! It was fun to try and film everything on the highest settings on my camera.
Yeah these are not normal gum boots! They are called bogs and they are fantastic for working in. I bought a pair for working on our farm in winter when it is wet and boggy .. the top part in a softer rubber, but the best thing about these boots is, unlike a normal gum boot which is really loose, these boots fit to the shape of your foot. It means I could walk the full 27km and didn't really notice much of a problem ..felt comfy the whole time.
I'm sure I've seen people wear this brand of gum boot on the tv series Alone as well.
