    Do you recommend getting Facebook for all the groups from/for university? I don’t want to get it but I am not sure if it would be a disadvantage not downloading it

    Will being unable to speak dutch be a huge disadvantage in general there?

    • @Antoniagsnr
      @Antoniagsnr  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that depends on the kind of job you want to do. I've worked retail and as a waitress (both in the center though) and it wasn't a problem. Almost all Dutch people speak English and even if they don't, you can still work around it. If you're looking for a more "serious" job then yes, I think it would be a bit of a problem! But for everyday life it definitely isn't :)

    Hi! if you don’t mind me asking, how much were you paying for the housing of your first apartment?

    • @EvainValencia
      @EvainValencia 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually in Amsterdam you pay between 1600 - 3000 euro per month for a normal appartment

    So funny that people actually want to move to Amsterdam. I've lived there all my life it's a beautiful city but the Netherlands is a terrible place to live. People are rude, weather is terrible, everyone is always stressed and in a hurry, its the most crowded country in Europe, everything is crazy expensive. I would advise a weekendtrip and then to get out :p. I moved to Spain, much better ;)

      so, i’m confused about healthcare. i know it’s private, but other than that, how does it work? do i need to choose some kind of healthcare company and pay a monthly fee? in italy it’s free (you pay for it through taxes though), but is it the same in the netherlands?
      i also need to get a job during my studies to cover part of my living expenses. is it hard to find a job if i don’t speak dutch? is that a requirement?

    A video about Amsterdam and what is one of the topics? Weed.... how very surprising (yawn)
    And it's not legal. It's tolerated. And it's there for the tourists and expats. There are very few Dutch people who smoke it.
    And why did the fact Dutch was asked for jobs surprise you? Yes Amsterdam is very accomodating to foreigners but the native language is Dutch. Not any other language, Dutch.
