Woo - it's been a while! Life without lockdown is far too distracting ;) A lot of you have been asking for it, so here it is - our Amsterdam apartment tour! Check out the description for links to the sites we mainly used to find vintage and second hand furniture and other great stuff :) Up next we'll be publishing our Amsterdam LGBTQ nightlife tour - can't wait to share it with you!
That's a beautiful apartment! I know how hard it is to find a place in Amsterdam and sharing how stressful it was is totally valid. However, when saying that finding an apartment like this was 'pain and suffering' it would also be good to recognize what a privilege it is to be able to afford and get an apartment like this at all. So many people (especially people of colour) that were born in amsterdam are forced out of the city because they can't afford a place at all. People are forced out of their houses, so they can be renovated into super expensive appartments. Of course this doesn't meand at all that you don't deserve this or that you can't be happy about your place, but it's always good to be aware of our privileges.
I think you are looking to much into the situation & are projecting. I don’t think they meant to hurt anyone, they were simply expressing their feelings.
Beautiful apartment and definitely can see both your styles and touches. Aww Miso has beautiful eyes … cutie. Happy you’re settling in and building your warm, cozy home.
You have been missed! It's like a special bonus to see you've blessed us with a post. Loved looking around your Amsterdam appartment and love your eclectic choice of furnishing. Please try to post a little more. Love you girls 🥰
Thank you so much for showing us your apartment and your place has a lot of light and I love it. Love the vintage furniture and enjoyed this video alot
Love the apartment! Very beautiful!! I would also love to see your work from home space(s) (if you have them!) and how you make those spaces attractive and functional :)
for my back porch i had a similar issue! spread some baking soda around and see if that helps. birds don't like baking soda on their feet. another thing that helped was aluminum foil!
Stunning space! I always love the artistry in the clips near the beginning of the videos. :) I am visiting Amsterdam in a few days, any suggestions of where to visit to get a better understanding of what it is like to live there? Looking into college abroad. (I'm from the states)
What makes it easy to move? I want to move abroad but I have a hard time w/ letting go of friends/family/places I know, I imagine you guys have another perspective though?
Lovely apartment! As solution for the bathroom door, maybe hang a curtain so guests can choose to close it? Either in the windows or infront of the door?(Maybe not on the bathroom side as that space gets moist so prone to moulding fabrics) Edit: I now see you’ve moved since this video haha
Love the turntable and record cabinet, and the dj area. Definitely put something over that bathroom glass door. You might as well just leave the door open the way it is now 😬 Lastly, Miso has pretty eyes. 🙂
Great place and from what I understand actually a decent price for amsterdam. The only thing one needs is a combined income of about 4000€ to make it work. And that is the hard part... but if you manage that it is a great life
So happy to see your faces!! That sucks about the Pigeon problem :(…. Maybe there is a sound device you can put outside that only the pigeons can here which will deter them away! Good luck ❤️
This is a random question for Alexis, but do you have layers to your hair? My hair texture is very similar to yours but I love the way yours looks! Any details would be so appreciated.
Hi! The place is gorgggggg. If you don’t mind me asking how long do you plan on staying in amsterdam? My husband and I are trying to decide if we want to look for an unfurnished or a furnished place. On one hand it’s very nice to have your own furniture/ touches, but I wonder if we’re only there for 1-2 years if it’s worth investing in furniture 🤔 we’re from the US!
Check the city "kadaster" or register of the real m2 of your place. Its the official record of each individual house and is used for things like rent and taxes etc. Its the kind of info real estate agents dont want you to find :-D
I listened to some random records you have and I love them Do you have a spotify that I can listen to and get some inspiration from? Nice apartment btw
I love you guys so much!! I love your new apartment!😃 I was wondering if you guys are vegans? If so, could you possibly make a video on food to make or your daily foods?!❤️
1750€ für 77qm²? Fuck! I'll never complain about Berlin prices again... Edit: I recently moved into my new apartment in Kreuzberg, which is very similar to yours but with 98sqm and costs 1500€.
I'm living in Amsterdam too. Those pigeons are terrible! Get some spikes-on-a-board (at a hardwarestore) or use netting and create some sort of 'netting porch' on high sticks or so. And you probably need to get your neighbours involved too (which is not always fun or easy, I know). Really annoying creatures, those flying rats! Tot ziens! Doei! (See you! Bye!)

I think you are looking to much into the situation & are projecting. I don’t think they meant to hurt anyone, they were simply expressing their feelings.

So in love with your videos. Thank you for taking us along all of your explorations and decorating the place 😌
Yay! Have been missing your guys!
Congratulations on finding an apartment and getting the furniture that you need. You have a very nice place…😊👍💐
The old wood joinery in the bathroom door is wonderful.
Love the apartment! Very beautiful!! I would also love to see your work from home space(s) (if you have them!) and how you make those spaces attractive and functional :)

Ahhhh so cool!! We will be in Amsterdam this summer, too! And that's such a pretty apartment!
Stunning space! I always love the artistry in the clips near the beginning of the videos. :) I am visiting Amsterdam in a few days, any suggestions of where to visit to get a better understanding of what it is like to live there? Looking into college abroad. (I'm from the states)

If you're still looking for a big art piece, you should look up Michel Poort. He's an amazing dutch artist and makes crazy heart-shaped paintings

Edit: I now see you’ve moved since this video haha
this is so nice to watch from a new apartment in a new city with nothing in it yet :P absolutely stunning place!!
it's a beautiful place! BTW,i am about to study in Amsterdam and also rent an apartment in Amsterdam oost! what a coincidence !
10:43 So, a little help: do you remember the color of this Holzlasur? 🙏
Hi! How did you like the video projector? Did it work well?
wow i can’t believe it was an unfurnished apartment. really nice!
Love the turntable and record cabinet, and the dj area. Definitely put something over that bathroom glass door. You might as well just leave the door open the way it is now 😬 Lastly, Miso has pretty eyes. 🙂

I love the furniture so much 💜
Lilian seems so talented in languages!
So happy to see your faces!! That sucks about the Pigeon problem :(…. Maybe there is a sound device you can put outside that only the pigeons can here which will deter them away! Good luck ❤️
The doors are my favorite thing about your place!
Is there another door in the apartment the same size as the bathroom one? So you can switch them out.
This is a random question for Alexis, but do you have layers to your hair? My hair texture is very similar to yours but I love the way yours looks! Any details would be so appreciated.
Hoi! I saw you sitting on a bench at Elandsgracht!
im about to move there, thank you for this video !
Que Lindas, felicidades por su futura boda y Bendiciones!♡☆ su hogar es muy acogedor y el peludo de la casa: Adorable! 😍

Trouble will find me by the national is literally my favourite album of all time!
Maybe you should check out Kunstuitleen at CBK Amsterdam, you can rent out artworks there and it is located in Oost!
Love love love your style!
Cosy, nice apartment. Greetings from Magdeburg/Germany!
Wow what did Emma say about the mattress

Looks like a great place!!
Gorgeous! And the apartment is ok too.
Gezellig!
very nice apartment. In my experience those plastic crows can work well to scare the pigeons. At least they've worked well on my window boxes.
I'm also waiting for my Emma mattress for my new apartment 🙈
Lilian show us a video about your DJ equipment ❤️ love you guys !
You mean both* of our dj equipment haha 😉
@@alexisbrilliant8895 😅 lol yes !
I'm down to send you a red rug ;) especially if I can send it some where in the u.s! Lol
Very nice,love it!👍❤🙋♀️🤗
Howdy?. Alexis,Wow- interesting footage.all the best, ;))
Gorgeous 💐
I live in Amsterdam and I have never seeen you. Even tho amsterdam is actually such a small city. I live in Jordaan ;)
What is your favorite records you have in your celebration?
What is Lillian working as now? (She mentioned work meetings)
Very pretty.....very pricey....good tips
I see a lot of both of your heads and a little of the apartment. I think it' nice, though.
it's beautiful
y'all are so beautiful
1750€ für 77qm²? Fuck! I'll never complain about Berlin prices again...
Edit: I recently moved into my new apartment in Kreuzberg, which is very similar to yours but with 98sqm and costs 1500€.
Put a plastic owl on the patio it keeps the Pigeons away.
Why wouldn't you have the dinner by the coffee table
ill allow it- rip special chair
I currently live in Dublin and my rent is the same as your rent .. but much worse standard and smaller flat.
I'm living in Amsterdam too. Those pigeons are terrible! Get some spikes-on-a-board (at a hardwarestore) or use netting and create some sort of 'netting porch' on high sticks or so. Now you don’t need to tell Russians what VPN is, you can access almost nothing without it now here... what a time to be alive
Y'all look sooo much alike..
You are my safe place
💜💜
It is more a month that my house , our cabin, our car and insurance lol
Yup... that's Amsterdam for you! Missing Berlin prices ;)
@@AlexisLilian Berlin has also become A LOT worse. We pay a similar price to you (with utilities though).
😎😃😊😜😍😘💖
You're so gorgeous 😍
"Looks more like a sex chair" hahah
is this a lezzie?
Get some fake owls
Yeah we heard those don't tend to work for very long :( But worth a try
Add wind chimes to the owls. Your apartment is beautiful.
Didnt see a proper video of the apartment, just close-ups of their noses. Useless!
♥️♥️♥️
