    Did my rare anthuriums survive the import process? They did, well sort of. In this video I will show you a 15day and a 1 month update on all the anthuriums we unboxed in December from ecuagenera. For the most part they are all doing well. I expected a lot worse so im really happy with the results of importing rare plants in the middle of winter.

    Thank you for the update! I'm liking the more frequent videos too! You are the only youtuber I follow that's not within my plant "niche" (rare fruits, herbals, etc.). As such, I know next to nothing about the plants you showcase, which makes it so interesting!

      Glad I made the list! I hope I can continue to entertain and maybe convince you to start collecting anthuriums lol! Thanks for the support!

      If you have a higher humidity setup I'm sure it will do great. Mine is only 50 to 60 percent so kinda low

    I’m so glad you’re back! Your videos were what got me into collecting aroids in 2021. Things have been busy for the past couple months since I moved and I thought I might be done with my houseplant phase, but these videos are rekindling that passion-time to set up all those grow lights I never unpacked from the move 😊

      That is awesome! I hope you can get that collection up and running again. I know for me as time has progressed I found what I like in plant collecting so I'm collecting less and having a lot of fun with what I have. Good luck with your collection

    I was asking myself why i just bought an anthurium in december as I used to say I never would... Looks like you gave me this idea. It's growing but I'm nervous. Thank you for your video and hello from France !

      lol whoops, yeah its hard living in cold climates makes it tough to get new plants but after a while you just gotta take a change or wait like 4 months lol. Hope yours grows well!

    You should put them in water with SuperThrive for 24hr to a week. The vitamin D will reduce the shock.

    Omg! My queremelense - something like that - is doing really poorly too! I loved it so much when I first got it
    I think root rot might be the culprit but I can’t tell what it’s healthy roots are supposed to look like!

    I've been waiting for this update! They looking good. Can't wait until it starts to put out some inflo... And anthurium hybridizing videos coming soon? 👀
    And for the quaramelense... I think they'll thrive in higher humidity (70-90%). I suggest just cut it out and start over. Put it in a container box and forget it 😂

      Yeah I think I will have to. I'm getting a 5x5 grow tent that I can build a giant terrarium in for these high humidity loving plants

      if you pay like 50 bucks extra they will do 2 day shipping with a heatpack. the heatpack was pretty small tho lol but if things die they will replace them. at least thats what i hear. Ive never tried to do that tho

    I noticed your dragon fruit plants (I think) that you started from seed at 0:36 - Any notable changes or growth to them? They seem pretty healthy.

    • @TechplantChannel
      @TechplantChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      they grow new pieces that replace old. these will never get big without something to climb. since its been a year im going to get them on a pole and see how fast they grow then. they could be huge by now if i wasnt lazy!

    • @maskedlimbo
      @maskedlimbo ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah they're tough little plants. They don't seem too mind living in tight spaces all that much. I've noticed they'll just keep popping out new growth near the base if you just let them hang on they're own. Which can look like a pretty cool fuzzy prickly plant. I know one person that has a 'mature' version of this (with a much bigger pot though) where he just let's the plant hang without a pole, and it bears fruit. Think that dragon fruits just need to be elevated in anyway for the branches to hang, and itself be heavy enough to support fruit.

    I just imported plants from ecuagenera too. I put them all into the water. Should I put them to potting mix or can they just sit in water?

    • @TechplantChannel
      @TechplantChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Water is good if they are pretty dry but eventually you should get them potted up. It's important to start with some higher humidity so they can get over shipping shock

      @026694475 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TechplantChannel I thought it's like water propagation. Can I wait long enough to let them put out some roots before potting them?

    • @TechplantChannel
      @TechplantChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@026694475 maybe I've never water propagated anthuriums so I'm not sure. Philodendron and monstera would do fine like that
