It depends on the nature of the platonic relationship. My husband had an important platonic related with a female friend when we got married which he continues to have. I'm friends with her too now. In the beginning, I didn't like it because I didn't understand that it was like him having another sister. I also have a platonic relationship with my pastor. He is a good friend, like a younger brother to me. These relationships enrich our lives.❤
Thank you for watching and sharing your personal experience and thoughts Christallin! I'm glad to hear it's working for you and your husband. It very much does depend on the nature of the platonic relationship 🌷🙏🏽❤️
Is it healthy and possible for two people who used to be in a romantic relationship be in a platonic relationship while in separate relationships? You mention that its emotional support, how do you draw the line so that it doesnt become emotional cheating?
@@UnwindwithEneri Thank you for tuning into this video. In my view, it is possible for ex-partners to stay friends whilst in new relationships, but it takes clear boundaries, honesty, and self-awareness. The key is being open with your current partner and making sure emotional support from your ex doesn’t drift into deeper, romantic territory. A good rule of thumb is to notice when thoughts start heading into 'what if' scenarios or when emotional reliance on the ex feels too strong. By keeping that awareness, checking in with yourself, and focusing emotional energy on your current relationship, it’s easier to maintain a healthy, platonic friendship with an ex 🌷🙏🏽
