Discogs keeps popping up ads on music I should order lol. The title of your video, Rarely Heard Music is what your collection is all about Dave. Also disappointed you did not give the German pronunciation a try my friend. Interesting records as always Dave
Dave, wholesome and nutritious music, just like spinach for the earholes! Berg's violin concerto as performed by Anne-Sophie Mutter, also on DG is sublime. On my cd, it's paired with Wolfgang Rihm's, '' Time Chants'', written for Miss Mutter. One of my favorite free-jazz/ improv titles is ''Wolfgang Van Gangbang'' on the ECM album by The Music Improvisation Company. I think the title refers to the ''other'' Wolfgang. Rihm died in 2024, he was a superb composer and lived in the same beautiful city as Riccarda! WOW, rarely heard music indeed! Lowballs can trick even the best batters.I dig Irene Aebi's voice as much as you dig June Tyson's voice. The Hat Hut album, '' Flim- Flam'' features just Steve Lacy and Steve Potts, the 21 minute version of ''3 Points'' is the highlight. They go together just like Samson and Delilah or Sodom and Gomorrah- truthiness.
Once before a performance of the Berg violin concerto, as the musicians were gradually filtering onstage, a young girl seated behind me exclaimed, "Oh my god! The tuba has a MUTE!"
@@michaelpdawson Michael, that story reminds of the music magazine called Tuba Frenzy, I think I still have a copy in my archives, it had a feature story about Sam Rivers.
Those sellers who sell random things and not just records definitely can have the best steals sometimes, I've found a few gems that way. Completely agree on the New-Again pressings being ass, so good to hear this one is good. That Steve Lacy & Steve Potts is great! Nice one!
441 is a fairly easy juggling pattern and 442 is the Olds 4 barrel carb, 4 speed 2 tailpipes. 443 doesnt mean anything that i know of, so Im saying numerically the next one better be Good😅
Very interesting records!

great score on Selten Gehörte Musik, been on the lookout for that one for a bit. Picked up Irene Scheizer / Rudiger Carl on Hat Hut recently
Been looking for an FMP of that duo myself.
Good stuff Dave. Seems like you have had a bad experience with gas station bathrooms haha. I hope you are doing well. Cheers!

I have that Music Improvisation Company LP. It’s a wild ride.

Dave, I don't think that I ever see Hat Hut LPs in the wild, and rarely find them on line. - Chris
I’ve only found 4LPs and 2 on cd in the last ten years.
HA. I knew it. 😂 my local guy said he didnt make enough to cover his RSD outlay purchase amount
