Is it weird that I felt like crying when I first listened to this? This is my absolute favorite part of the song and the back and forth thing, the loop, it's all perfect. It's the loop that plays in my head when I miss listening to this song. Thank you!

This song really calms and focuses my ADHD brain and it seems that a lot of others find calm or peace with it as well. For those questioning why...I have a theory. The interplay of tendency tones in music theory and their impact upon the polyvagal system of our neurophysiology and neuropsychology help to create controlled cycle states of trauma-processing or environmental engagement. Basically, tendency tones in music theory are notes within a scale that have a strong inclination to resolve, or move, to other specific notes. This "pull" towards resolution creates a sense of tension and instability, which is then released when the tendency tone moves to its expected destination. This movement creates mini-states of tension and release in music. You may have experienced this when you hear a singular note from some stimulus…and your brain may immediately then may hear its resolution note in your mind’s ear. Now, in the polyvagal theory, one’s nervous system is constantly going through a process called neuroception the process by which the nervous system unconsciously evaluates safety or danger in the environment, influencing the activation of these neural circuits. It can occur without conscious awareness and be influenced by past experiences and trauma. Thus, this song helps to regulate your emotional and physical state due to the controlled expression of tension and release within consumable doses. The echo effect further reinforces the movement in a gentle manner that allows for extended neuropshysiological release of particular neurotransmitters (chemicals like dopamine) that have the ability to calm us. As our brains are constantly learning and making synaptic connections, these may lead to new neuropathways that alter the previous reinforced ones, such as traumatic ones that cause us to constantly feel anxiety, depression, or erratic thought. This is how music heals. *This post is a brief of a theory that comes from a paper in process by Adan Gutierrez-Gallegos and should not be used for self-treatment of any mental condition without the proper consultation of a mental health therapist, particularly knowledgeable in the field of music therapy, polyvagal theory, or somatic theory. The author makes no claims as to the originality of this theory as they have not researched if others have proposed it before. Just something that came to mind and has been the subject of my intellectual obsession for a bit. Thanks for reading.

Hi Maik, could you tell me what exactly is caused by this gorgeous piece of music? Are there bineural beats? Which frequency of brain waves are activated? I love it! ❤Thank you!
Hi. No, I am not using any specific waves here. Like you have asked in your other comment, it is some kind of EMDR. My therapist is also using EMDR and that's why I have created this, because it helped me. I just tried to make the "panning" effect from left to right as strong as possible. Using a 3rd layer of the voice with a small delay , to" confuse " the brain even more. In fact, this delay -for me personally - has caused the best effect. I can only explain it to me like, the brain tries to get a "complete picture" by trying to match the left to right panning with the additional delayed layer also panning but also playing in the center of the stereo field. May be, this is just "too much information" for the brain to "comprehend" as both sides of the brain are being triggered simultaneously and additionally slightly apart because of the delayed voice...
