Weird autograph sync there. all hail the 99 label. Everything on there is truly great
I have the ESG LP but might be it.
Glad to hear your French sucks, welcome to the club. 3 weeks in and we already have one of your favorite albums of the year, such an early start Dave. Finding an autograph record that was not planned, amazing. Vinyl Gods do like you Dave
Yosuke Yamashita Trio - Chiasma is from 1976. I might have forgot to mention that.
Nice pickups Dave. You are the autograph king now. Can’t go wrong with any Nora. That Jeff Parker is killer I definitely grabbed myself a copy. I hope you are doing well. Cheers!
Yeah and her albums are varied too. So good.
Nice sweatshirt, isn’t the house of guitars in Rochester, NY?
Indeed. Go up there once a year.
Thumbnail is pure gold .
I aim to please lol
Totally jealous of that autographed Jesus Lizard insert
cool autographs... that Spivey is an outstanding score. l've known about it but never seen it in a shop. does it have recording dates?
Unfortunately it does not. Only thing I can gather is that it was released in 1964.
I would thoroughly enjoy digging with you and Jon. Plus I would get to talk bootlegs with the one guy who's Zeppelin boot collection would impress myself and Jimmy Page. Solid grabs Dave. <> Jesus Lizard. Yeah baby. Glenn Branca's "The Ascension". Ahead of its time. I would love to own one of his homemade guitars ~ Rob/Boston
Plus always good Zeppelin boots on the wall in the shop for sale.
Great puke pick! That DK's record changed my life when i was a teenager.
Dave I believe there are no accidents or coincidences....things happen for a reason so yea you had some good karma....agree also about radio station copies, mine are pure gold....cheers stay safe and peace ☮️
Hahaha Dave!!! That thumbnail 😲🙄😯🤣😂🙃
Lucky dayz⚡️great content brother man.
Dave, lol that bus is suspect! 😂 cool meet up with Jon to check out VOA collection at Noble. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 the Zonkman
Okay… making the rounds and catching up on some vids. I need to listen to that Pile album. Kim Gordon is a great choice for year’s best. Wasn’t as high for me, but I have a shit ton of respect for it. The Smile is satisfying enough for me. I don’t even care if Radiohead releases another album.
th-cam.com/video/LDTkn22m4EE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Y3geGtEaG9ETnO8a
Helluva year, one can only imagine the other 400ish records you didn't show lol. Need that Jerome Cooper still, love the unpredicable/predictable one.
noice
Ridiculous. So Ridiculous.
Politically charged punk video I love it. Punk is definitely a blind spot for me. I was into it early college for a couple years but very narrow knowledge of only pop punk. I have been getting a little nostalgic about it lately though so maybe I pickup up some punk Los this year. I hope you are doing well. Cheers!
that's a great price on terveet kadet its an awesome record, nice picks, cheers!
Great video, great to see Los Crudos mentioned. Cheers
Great response on the tag, fun questions, I have to think this over and see how many questions I can do. Gun Club is amazing, great pick ups there. Cheers
almost done watching...
Marathon man! Lol
The End.
@TheDigitalGramophone yes finally done
I loved that High Vis album, made my 10 ten records. I never bought the new Sniffers album, I’ll have to stream that some. Most played, Cramps - Songs the Lord Taught Us, it will be on the list every year followed by the first DK album. Fun tag Dave
Mutant Strain is such a great band. Great shows, great songs, great art. That record has some inserts and a large 2-sided poster. I like that Gun Club record too. I have a 2021 reissue with a 2nd live (3/6/81, Club 88) disc. I enjoyed your tag.
Thanks Maria and yeah Mutant Strain always goes the extra mile with the bonuses in the LPs. Super cool.
Good video, sir.
Excellent, I'm working on my version.
Ou yeah! Super picks. Punk rules. Enjoyed the show. Great 1st question. Fear - great find! And TK comp full of classics. The 1st press included 7". I am missing that also...but I think that I have 7" released separately earlier... DK for puke question! And yes Sex Pistols is one hit LP wonder. Original US press! Mutant Strain is Killer! Kaaos stole some riffs from SS Decontrol LP! Let's hope Bad Brains predicted event right! Stay Punk!
"...my brother let me take it..." I'm not so sure your brother had a choice. 🤓 Carry on...
😂😂😂
There's so much here to be amazed by but the theme is you scoring of people either being too conservative in their prices, or not knowing what they had. Good work. I know I want to track down that Landry. Got the yellow one Having Been built on Sand in new york.
That one is an interesting LP. Got the Unseen Worlds reissue at Lunchbox
Awesome video dude. When you showed the “last” I was like No way one is missing g from the list!!!!
Yeah Lars is the man over there!
You are so right about the 1996 Soundgarden album 'Down on the Upside', Dave. Every song is good on that one making it a high point of the 90s 'Seattle scene'. I still have a CD copy purchased at the time of release and it has always served me well!
I went nuts buying all their CDs in the 90’s including as many European singles and bootlegs I could get my hands on. Was lucky to see them open for Nine Inch Nails before Chris passed.
Hot damn. So many good finds. Makes me wanna run out and buy a few of discogs but I’m holding strong. Stuck around until the bonus 70th. Your post last week about the Bengt Nordström record was the first I’d ever heard of it. Sounds like I should track down that boxset. Very cool to have a minty OG of such a rarity. Hope you’re well Dave!
Discogs is pure evil! Steer clear indeed Ryan lol
Always glad to hear Pharmacy getting love.
I suddenly don't feel bad about my forty minute video. 😂
lol lol lol
I just found that Betty Davis LP today!
Hot damn!
Damn, love that Ngozi record, Day of Judgement was my best find of the year
I got that Allen’s Psychedlic record but it is weird, I mean really weird ! I do like the blues stuff you found. You were all over the place this year Dave with your purchases.
Dave, you did okay this year! You showed that Horace Tapscott before, so I had to go find one. I only have one album with Masahiko Sato on it, and it is a piano duo with Yosuke Yamashita. Thanks and here's to next year, Chris
Great stack of records I’ve had that Taste record in my hands a few times but have yet to pull the trigger Love Rory’s playing Take care Brian ☮️
I am so tired of people who show us the common records everybody knows. This is different and much appreciated, not always my music, but serious collectors stuff, great, I subscribed and thumbs up!!!
Welcome aboard.
Love the stroll along the country side. Also love all the great music you found. The cassette find was the best. I still play and collect them. Enjoyed the video.
Peace Dave... great stack... way to keep the dig alive. Also good to have/ build connections. '24 was a blackout year for me digging wise but I'll be back. Stay solid.
Good to hear from you Pat!
63.5 minutes-- daunting
Had to tack this onto Jon’s slog.
That Flight for Four is such a killer find-nice one! I picked it up this year too and can’t stop spinning it!
great finds last year.. i have to pace myself.. 1/2 hour today and i'll watch the rest tomorrow.
We'll be getting the storms mid afternoon here on the coast, so I'm gonna watch fuckin' videos. You definitely hold the record in the VC for most albums I never knew existed, and it keeps me watching! 70 records shown in an hour, another first? Take care, thanks.
It looked pretty darn cold up en dat der part of da world Dave. Maybe it was warmer than NC. I would have grabbed that Taste also. I have not seen that black Flag album before. I think we need some samples of Space guitars! Did you leave your clothes in NY to pack up all those records.
Brought only one sweatshirt and wore it all week. Had a box that holds 15 records that fit perfectly in my backpack.
Dave, killer footage up home. Loved the frozen tundra. I kinda wanted to see you cross that snow covered bridge over the creek. That archive is crazy and there’s a basement. lol Super clean Roy Orbison and Marty Robbins that I wouldn’t normally think to be shown on this channel. You didn’t run into any of the guys from King Buffalo, did ya? Actually I don’t know when their December show dates ended. And how close to Rochester they actually are. Peace ☮️ Namaste 🙏 oh I didn’t realize the basement was the pop shop. I thought that was record archive! The Zonkman
Nice set of pickups. Aklaff played in Air with Henry Threadgill.
Loved seeing everything Dave. I agree with Pat {Vinyl Rich} with the Black Saint label. It is one that I look for on a consistent basis. Even if I don't know the artist and the price is right. I will buy it. But finding them is few and far between. The label is one of the nicest looking labels to date. <> I really enjoyed hearing about hunting for a CD for your mom and finding the Fugazi cassette. Good to hear that you saw your family over the Christmas holiday. A bug Happy New Year to you D. All the very best coming your way in 25~ Rob/Boston
Always an honor to have you stop by Rob. Wishing the best for you and yours as well.
