I always appreciate aarons unfiltered honesty, he's a breath of fresh air 🙏 Glad you had him back , it's always interesting when you both collaborate 👏
Honestly, what I would do is I would have Aaron do a smell and rate of TH-camrs' fragrances overall. Mr. Smelly (Dan) has Gravitas, Steven has his line of fragrances from Navitus, and Jeremy has his frags. Maybe find two more TH-camrs who have fragrances and have Aaron do just what he did here: a smell and rate of five fragrances. Maybe for Steven get a sampler pack and Chris can choose one of the most popular frags or one that speaks to him the most. For Jeremy, to make this fair, probably do "Date for Men" instead of Office since Office already has that Aventus / Sauvage mass appealing DNA that Aaron smelled in the Emperor Extrait. But overall, I think that would be a better video than just doing one or two of just Jeremy's fragrances.
@Scott Geoffrey Yeah, he preferred Dua over Alexandria. I do too. I've sampled the same dupes from both companies side by side, and in my opinion Dua edges Alexandria out.
Where has ATH been my whole perfumed life?!❤️ Having him on with Chris is always an informative, enjoyable journey because I learn so much from both of them.
I really enjoy the videos with Aaron, he is brutally honest and breaks down a fragrance like no other. I'd like his opinions on your most expensive frags. Thanks Chris!!
Interesting perspective Aaron has, watching his eyes and nose work gives us a glimpse into his mind. I also like and agree with his ethics on cloning perfumes. Thanks for sharing, Chris.
Thanks for watching Eugen. It's fascinating watching Aaron at work. I can tell right away whether it's something he likes or not. I should do a Guerlain theme!
This series of videos you have with this perfumer is hands down my favorite reviews of not just your channel, but of all the reviewer’s channels. His honest unbiased take, strictly from a chemist point of view is so unique and uncommon in this TH-cam community. I hope he becomes a permanent fixture on fragmental. Excellent video. Thank you for creating content such as this for everyone to watch, enjoy, and share.
i didn't move a muscle watching this video. Great great video, great reviewer. Been watching fragrance videos on youtube for about 5 yrs, this is one of the best I've seen. Subbed!! Hope to see more of Aaron....thanks Chris!
Aaron brings a new edge to the industry. His knowledge and talent is amazing. I can't wait until his own line is readily available in the U.S. I believe he is developing a massive following.
Chris I love your videos with ATH, he is really amazing and honest. Very smart, I love the way he breaks down a scent without knowing anything about it, without any bias, just sensing what his nose is telling him about the chemical components. He is a genius, I always say that. Love it.
Love clones, and have many OGs. Dua and Alexandria are great at making untouchable fragrances available to those that don’t have $500 to spend. Also, they make inspirations of OGs that are no longer in circulation. There is definitely a place for these companies.
Watching Aaron is like watching a PhD scholar give a lecture to the primary school teachers (regular reviewers) thanks for getting him onto the channel. Great stuff

I'm addicted to ATH. Everything about him draws you in, and leaves you begging for more. Can't get enough of him. Thanks for introducing me to him via your channel. Much love. 🖤

Its pleasure to watch this collaboration of both of u. Get him on designer frags from now on, n lets see his perspective on what majority of ppl r wearing from all designer houses
Thanks for doing these videos with Aaron. Absolutely fascinating guy, and watching him break down a fragrance is both fun and illuminating. I love that he's able to be so objective, sometimes saying that something's very well crafted, but he wouldn't wear it. That's hard to pull off. I've mentioned this already on Aaron's own YT channel, but watching his videos has really made me reassess my own attitude to fragrance and what I want from it. He's totally persuaded me: why be boring? Why wear something safe and ubiquitous. I love his, "it makes me feel disappointed......" Keep up the good work, guys!
I do find Aaron’s fragrance reviews absolutely fantastic!!! Really informative and due to his reviews it’s saved me from blind buys which I would have regret!
These are some of my favorite videos to watch! I find it fascinating to get the perspective of someone on the inside of the industry. His expertise adds a whole new dimension to the reviews.
Dupes is also a way to recreate fragrances that might be discontinued. I see "inspired by" fragrances kinda similar to a musician who samples another artists song or creating a cover.
Good way of looking at it. Whilst ethically hard to accept for some people, clones can be a gateway into niche which often leads to us purchasing originals. That's what happened with me.
This man is really amazing, to the point that he somehow changes his point of view of a same fragrance in seconds, between smellings. His brain cannot cheat him, and it is right, because of the fragrance's development. My suggestion to future videos is that you have already test strips with the dry drown for each fragrance. This way he can compare them with the opening and describe it's development. Would be very interesting. Great video!
There are previous videos where I'm smelling and talking about Aaron's fragrances. I'll be smelling Slut for the first time on camera in a video coming soon👍🏻
Great chemistry between the two of you. Aaron’s analysis is always analytical, instinctual and brutally honest. Hopefully Chris you can give your opinion on Aarons new creations soon.

So this is what I notice with people like Aron/JP they are honest and they are genuinely interested in what they do... So things he is saying are consistent and pure. Love this man. Also the host is very good like fill the gaps and together make a perfect of something.
I'd love to see him compare vintage with current scents. Especially legendary houses like Guerlain. It would be interesting for someone with his nose and training to tell us exactly how they have changed and whether the hype around vintage fragrances is justified.
Ethical issues and the headache to consumers aside, I've always found the fake/clone aspect of any market interesting. Especially when you get near 1:1 replicas of something astronomically expensive for pocket change. While rare, it's even better whet the fake/clone surpasses the quality of the real deal.
I'll be honest, but dupes will never take money away from big brands. Some1 who will buy a dupe over an original high price parfume, would never buy the high price one in the first hand... Just like me, who like parfumes, i have a set budget i'm willing to spend on parfume, and will never pay 500 bucks for a Creed Aventus for example...
The perfumer is the same guy who made Aqua di Gio which a is a very crowd pleasing and popular fragrance. I think he would feel the same way he would feel about other crowd pleasing DNA’s. He finds them boring and outdone. I enjoy hearing perfumers opinions, but because their noses are so MUCH more refined than the average person, what they find amazing might smell a bit weird to a regular person.

Aaaaaaaaand this is why I love DUA and Alexandria so much. Sam and Hany really do their homework on fragrances. I'm glad that Aaron did this and he can REALLY pick out so much. That Tom Ford comparison that he made when he smelled the genuine Tuscan Leather BLEW ME AWAY. Like, "How did he know it was a Tom Ford?!" I guess Tom has a specific chemical structure that a perfumer can smell from a mile away, same with Dior or Chanel fragrances. That is very interesting that fragrances have a type of structure but just switch out notes to balance the structure. Very interesting. Another great video, Chris and Aaron! :)
Thanks Chris and Aaron for an interesting review. I noticed clones can be very good or better than original. Like Hafez 1984 is almost better scent than Mancera Red Tobacco, although Red tobacco is richer, better quality. But sometimes knowing a cheaper clone of something you love, can spoil your experience of the one you love. Like I wish I never smelled Cool Water, because it cheapens my experience of Green Irish Tweed.
