A Morning in Carlisle with a Visit from Flopsie!
03 April 24
OK - first of all this video largely has no sound. No criticism please - I was royally annoyed and frustrated.
Why? for the first time in around a year the jack on my external microphone didnt sit properly in my camcorder and recorded interference rather than train noises. I've sorted it out now.
However I think the visuals are worth sharing.
The highlight was a pair of LSL Class 37s, named Flopsie and Loch Awe, taking their ScotRail liveried push pull set to Fort William. On 8th and 9th April they will run to Mallaig and back.
Other trains and light engines were also recorded including GBRf's Class 66 named Chippy. This 'bearded' loco was being used to route train a driver around the curves and goods lines and sidings in Carlisle.
There is a bit of sound where I managed to record it!
The times shown on clips are for guidance only and shouldn't be taken as definitive.
Any observations are my own and not intended to show any authority and may show my misunderstanding.

Thanks Les, that was very restful without all the usual flange-squeal!

I Feel For You About The Sound Leslie, If It's Any Consellation Great Footage As Always, Take Care
Thanks! I've got over it
You should have converted it to black and white and added a frantic piano accompaniment - - well - - it worked for Chaplin, Keaton and Valentino!
😅 now that would ha e been different Tim. All the same still very good Leslie 👍
Someone suggested a moustachioed evil villain and lady tied to the rails
