@@alaae.5565 There is hardly any fanservice in aot. That's what I like about it. I would argue the opposite and say girls get more fanservive in this anime simply due to the sheer amount of available merchandise for its make characters, specifically Levi.
So don't go on and start throwing the word sexist around without actually understanding the context. To be quite fair we see more men shirtless than women in aot anyways- Eren and Armin for the most part though there is a small gem for Reiner.

Despite the censorship, WIT studio still found a way to maintain the same horror and desperate feel after season 1. Eventhough we didn't see much of beheaded heads and chopped faces, it was still terrifying and pretty well done due to other factors like blood, music, great voice acting, etc.
I hope Mappa finds a similar way of "creative sensoring" or has a blu-ray uncensored version.

The censorship in the scene from S01 where the girl is giving cpr to her dead boyfriend didn't feel like a censorship to me, the fact that you don't realise at first sight that half of his body is missing and she is still desperatly trying to revive him is so impactful and creepy.
I was just on that part and I’m like “dude that’s half of his body. How could he be alive by cpr”

I think they are both the best for their respective mediums. in the manga where you have motionless pictures, clearing showing it can be really good and effective, but in the anime with motion and the ability to play with time and stuff they do a fantastic job of really building up the moment as one that will define the series

Its truly horrific, and that's one of the reasons this show is so good.
They show us JUST how terrifying it is to come face to face with a Titan, to the point where even the audience feels fear.
Which in my opinion, is rare for animes because lets be honest they really aren't that scary.
But whenever a Titan appears on screen, you feel genuine fear because you really don't have a clue what the outcome will be.
You have no idea who dies or who survives and that makes AoT amazing and unpredictable.

I somewhat agree, but not everything needs to be completely uncensored. The studios have been creative so far with censoring while still getting at least most of the feeling across. The viewers will still understand how brutal it is to be eaten alive by dogs.

In the manga when he come out of the bar after throwing the chair, you see the 3D gear hook in the throat then how he he goes to slice the other one and slice one of them in half.
I remembered the brutality there and the look on the ennemies face when they get shredded really put you in the mood that from now on it was about human vs human and there were no way to get things done without going ugly.

that one i think is mostly due to the movements, it is fucking horrifying in both but then when it moves and stands up by the wall with fluid motion and stuff starts spilling out, the manga wasnt nearly as bad with just still images

@@marvinragen Pretty sure it was censoring considering there a scenes where Armin was simply just removed from comforting Eren and not replaced by Misaka as it wouldn't make sense in the story as Misaka wasn't avaliable.
They have also changed/shortened multiple lines of dialog by Armin from the Manga to the Animation to make Armin seem a lot less affectionate and effected by Eren injuries or mental struggles.
In the Manga Armin is almost always the one holding Eren when he is injured and the one most upset by the situation, While Misaka shows little emotion and is distance.
It's pretty apparent homophobia and censoring.

But (Season 3 spoilers if you haven’t finished it yet) also note that Eren was unnecessarily shirtless in the scene with Historia and Rod, we see in the flashback that Uri wasn’t shirtless when he was getting eaten himself, so being shirtless was not part of the ritual.
Soo, I don’t really see how that is fair. But it’s a bit too much that people assume Levi’s “fangirls” are that rabid to lose their shit if they see him naked.
