my own personal theory as to why the rumbling stopped when Zeke died, is because Eren wanted it to, he wanted his friends to have a fighting chance to stop him, and be seen as heroes to the remaining 20% of man kind. If he continued the rumbling after Zeke died, as you said, his friends would have no chance at all at stopping the rumbling, and Eren knew that
the rumbling stopped when zeke died cuz eren needed a direct connection to royal blood to control all the titans. And if u listened to the flashbacks it was erens intention to get mikasa to kill him so they were the heros.
like said in this video, ymir sided with eren, making zeke irrelevant. ymir wanted the rumbling to happen, she wouldnt let someone like zeke stop it just because he died
@@sourpuss574 yeah he literally said that he wanted them to win so that everyone would unite against him. If he wanted to he could've controlled them and easily won.
@@sourpuss574like you said, "Ymir sided with Eren", the person Ymir had been waiting for 2000 years was Mikasa not Eren and Eren wanted to end the rumbling so Ymir had to stop or else she wouldn't be able to see what Mikasa would do.
But you can't ignore the fact that he still wanted to do the Rumbling, he didn't just do it completely for his friends or eldia, he wanted to kill billions because it was the choice with so much power behind it that anyone who made that choice had to be the most free person there is, in the end he became a slave to his own goal for true freedom, he managed to work it in a way where he could both do the Rumbling out of selfishness and also allow himself to die and make his friends heroes out of selflessness
Eren did win because he did what he wanted. If Eren wanted the world to be destroyed as we all believed, he would've been able to do that easily, but he didn't.
naw apparently what happened was gonna happen anyway since the start its was timeline and was gonna happen that way and that in its self is the most lazy excuse for writing a ba ending.
@@sentialt-p8x If you think Isayama has ever made a lazy stroke of his pen, you’ve lost the plot. Rewatch the Special 1 & Dawn of Humanity. There Eren clearly admits the truth he hid from Armin. "Everything from now on will happen according to my will". "In truth, I *wanted* to destroy everything. I’m sorry". was a "slave" to his own will, not to timeline bullshit. From the moment he kissed Historia’s hand, Eren was all-powerful. The future memories only confirmed that what he wanted deep down, required some sacrifices and commitments. If Eren didn’t want to do it, it wouldn’t have happened - but that could never have come to pass, because it goes against Eren’s nature. Imagine you opened a bottle, and out comes a Genie who shows you a vision of achieving your dream of becoming the president of US, marry Dua Lipa or become the richest man ever or whatever. You are so happy to see this future. Nothing else will ever come close. The vision shows you that the only way to earn the genie’s wish, was to let him kill a couple of your friends and mother. You had the power to stop him, but deep down you would never do it, because achieving the dream ultimately mattered more. That’s how Eren felt. He could have done so many other things than the rumbling, but he wanted it. "MORE THAN ANYTHING". Eren never exaggerated or lied. So he meant that literally.

@@prodigyx1089 Yeah, that was Mr. Blouse's point with all the "Forest" stuff. It was a literal kind of "Let's not argue about who killed who" thing. Or you kill every single person on the other side, cutting down the proverbial forest.
The last point was the easiest way Eren could’ve won, by just doing nothing. Eren was the Alliance’s biggest ally. He allowed them to keep their powers, he allowed them to take out the Yeagerists, he allowed Ymir to help Falco to transform and save them by flying, he allowed the past shifters to help them in battle, and if Ymir builds the titans, then his form was the easiest to beat, since it’s big and perfect for Odm gear. Eren made the alliance’s fight very easy for them and they still struggled. So, if he didn’t do any of that and just did nothing, he would’ve beat them while sleeping.
Actually lol, it isn't at all. The Size of Eren is HUGE, and there is a lot of fight to do inside and outside of it. By the time they reach half the distance between Eren and them, they'll be out of gas and of swords.
No, it wasn't. He knew the outcome of Mikasa's choice would end the curse for good, but he didn't know what her choice [his death] would be. But we can say he felt it since he said to Armin, "I don't wanna die."
@@T.Law4he said i don’t wanna die because it was already determined that it would happen. he set the whole thing up so the they would be the hero’s that saved %20 of humanity

For aftermath consequences, I think the scariest thing Eren could have done would have been to turn every single surviving Eldian into a titan. This twisted solution would have Eren ensuring that everyone he knows, loves, and cares about lives forever without worry of outside invasion. It would be freedom from suffering in the worst way possible.
Don't you guys wonder how amazing Attack On Titans managed to represent what's actually happening in the world and wars? The message the anime is trying to demonstrate... I'm really speechless! It's amazing... The anime really touched me personally! Being born and raised as a Palestinian who never got to experience freedom as most people around the world did!! It's crazy how accurate is the resemblance between its story and the Palestinian-Isreali conflict, the walls built around me, and even the inability to travel freely around my own country and other countries around the world...Showing both perspectives of freedom from both sides. Certainly, one of the best animes ever! 💔💔💔
its honestly crazy that this came out during the current events that are happening. this was made based off ww2 events and now look at whats happening to the palestinians. Thats why i love aot (besides the ending).
@@taevnuwu9934i'm thinking more Palestinian than Ukrainian tbh. Ukrainians still have a lot of relative freedom compared to Palestinians, considering my country is getting flooded by Ukrainian refugees, Palestinian refugees aren't even accepted in Egypt or any other nations.
I think all stories they create are based on actual events, people, countries. I'm sure Isayama, the creator of the saga, read a lot of history and made such a beautiful manga/anime based on that and his experience. A thing that impressed me about AoT is the fact it talks not only about love, hate, people.. It also talks about politics and how an individual can change side/ideas. Everything is relatable to the real world.. besides Titans and their transformation oc, which is the genius key that allows him to narrate this incredible and well connected story. In few words, he put everything in Aot. PS: hope the best for Palestine. Such a sad situation.
He actually won the show by portraying himself as a villain, causing Mikasa and Armin to hate him. His goal is for someone to kill him, so his friends can reveal themselves as heroes to the world. He achieved that goal, but in the end, he became a slave to freedom
all of that just for the island to be nuked a few years later...yeah right. he should've completed the rumbling. Isayama is a terrible writer, and I can't believe people are actually satisfied with this ending.

If isayama was trying to go for a dark ending. I think rumbling should’ve been completed & paradis island still gets destroyed to prove that human conflict will never stop no matter what.
In the original ending people from Paradis would leave the island to repopulate the earth. After a century the earth have big modern countries again And Paradis itself become a deserted Island. The ending scene is child Eren seeing the abondoned Paradis in the Future then waking up under tree. Idk Why people think that after 100% of the rumbling people from Paradis would not leave to explore the world 😂

@@LuisSierra42 do you think a titan would survive in a cyberpunk world ??they were being butchered in the season 4 episode 1 remember reiner getting shot like he was made of jelly? dont bring a titan to a lazer gun fight
Well he implied that if he won he still would be fine with trampling the world and if he lost he would be fine. So either way he would be happy. They still fought for their lives and almost died many MANY times
The second ending can happen but he can't erase the titans from existence. The titan powers is a mix of Ymir's curse and the Parasyte worm that is instinctively cling on to life itself. The only way they actually erased the titan powers was getting Ymir satisfied while killing Eren when he wasn't in contact with the Parasyte.
The first outcome scenario you described is actually very close to what the ending was SUPPOSED to be. There is a music video to one of the shows endings called Akatsuki no Requiem that foreshadowed/depicted old Eren visiting the alliances graves and then making his way back to paradis which by that time has progressed by a lot(and it also shows overall consequences of the rumbling). Many think that Isayama had to change the ending because his publisher, KODANSHA, refused to publish the ending he originally wanted to depict.
The ending where everyone died, and if Eren realized there's no way to prevent paradis island to be destroyed, he'll just make all the colossal titans explode with some return to the island and nuke everything and the world would restart all over again
Very cool video thanks! Imagine if Hajime Isayama created another series like the "What if?" MCU series except its AOT, that would be fascinating. Like bro, the lore gets so deep even theories are made by many fans too!
The reason the Rumbling stopped when Zeke died is because Ymir was persuaded by Armin during their conversation and began to agree with the Alliances' motives. At first when the Rumbling started, Ymir decided that she wanted to assist Eren in trampling the rest of the world. Note how I worded that. Decided. Eren gave her full autonomy for the first time in her life and she used that in order to help him out. Later, though, when she captured Armin, she purposefully brought him to Paths to see how he would react to Zeke being there. She's confirmed to be present during the conversation, too, which means she heard everything they said. When Armin convinced Zeke that the trivial moments in life is what makes life itself so important, Ymir was also persuaded by that ideology. This is where her shift from supporting Eren goes to supporting the Alliance, and she, like she did before with activating the Titans in the Walls; chose to halt them.
you are actually wrong, 1: She wasn't following Erens goals, Eren makes it clear that she is not bound to his will that their wills simply align, both Eren and Ymir want to destroy all of humanity 2: it is made abundantly clear that when Eren wraps his arms around her and tells her to do what she wants to do, that from that moment on it is Eren who has the power. just think of it it this way. the power of the founding titan is housed within whomever consumed the last founder. so the power to do the rumbling was in Eren not Ymir. she ceased being the founder the moment her children ate her. Eren has that power and she needs Eren to do use its power. the only thing Ymir does in the paths is rebuild titans and titan shifters. so it was Eren that connected Zeke and Armin and the past shifters NOT YMIR
@@houseofaction I never said she was following Eren's goals. I said that she chose out of her own volition to help Eren since he was the one who freed her. I agree that Ymir did share his wish of eradicating humanity, but I believe that just saying that was her motivation is a narrow argument. Eren has the power of the Founder in accordance with Ymir, meaning that Eren can control the Wall Titans, yes, and he can also manipulate Eldian memories and anatomy, but he cannot create Titans himself. That is Ymir's doing. Meaning, Eren does not have power OVER Ymir, also meaning that Ymir can choose when to stop Eren whenever she wants.
That’s not actually true. If you think about it, after Armin persuaded Zeke, only past Titan shifters that had connection with either Zeke or Armin joined their side and other remaining past Titan shifters still fought against them. It was clearly stated that those past Titan shifters were manipulated by Ymir and not Eren. So she did not change her side after hearing Armin’s speech.
@@kylucent1248 I wonder if Eren really did not have power over Ymir. Ymir was not only the founding titan but all 9 titans in 1. She might be affected by Eren as she is also an attack titan just like Owl. Like Owl who cared for the safty of Erens friends, Ymir might be the same. This might help explain why Mikasa is so important to Ymir. The chapter in the manga where Eren convinced Ymir is called FROM YOU, 2000 YEARS AGO. Ymir with the same power as Eren would have experienced the past, present, and future at the same time. This means before she died she was alread freed by Eren 2000 in the future. Interestingly chapter 1 is called TO YOU, 2,000 YEARS FROM NOW. In chapter 1 Eren wakes up after dreaming of being killed by Mikasa and commented on her hair being longer now. I believe that Ymir sent this dream into the future to free Eren. Both Ymir and Eren freed each other but were both ultimately enslaved their own freedoms.
I thought the same thing about Zeke. He clearly wanted his friends to stop him, so he must've set a condition for it to stop once Zeke died to go along with his plan...
Floch Did Nothing Wrong. .....I believe the reason for the Nuclear War at the very end was directly correlated to Eren letting 20% of the Population live. They still held resentment toward the Eldians. "Our Devils are our only hope".
not really...the world propably doesnt even believe that titans existed and were fighting for land, power or something and there's no more "eldians" since they cant transform and propably mixed with normal people
One thing about Ymir controlling the titans, Zeke had royal blood which meant she was still at servitude to him and his will as she was cursed by King Fritz and was still in love with him, Ymir could have only made the colossal titans go further AFTER Mikasa and Eren kissed despite Mikasa killing him as it broke the curse, where even if you loved them you would still kill them for the good of everyone else
in the manga he said he didn't even know if they'd survive the rumbling lol. and realistically the remaining 20% aren't going to give a flying fuck who armin is
@@manumudgal4988 Yes, but Eren also admited that he didn't think it would stop future wars and conflicts. He only did it to give Eldia an even playing field. This isn't to say I agree with his method. Genocide is evil.

Thank you for talking about the death of Zeke that it should not have caused the stopping of the rumbling. Ymir did not obey him at all anymore and just focused on pursuing the rumbling with Eren, because she has decided to go along Eren's decisions. So that death should not influence anything, but for some reason it did. Eren broke the slavery spell of Ymir making her not listen to Eldians with royal blood anymore, so it makes absolutely no sense to me. The physical requirement of being royal blood is not there anymore. That is literally the first thing I thought about in the end that just made me not like it. If it would be in a different kind of way, then fine. But logically that just doesn't make sense since things have changed rapidly when it comes to her power.
The founding powers have always been kinda bullshitty, like when eren commanded the titans in S2 while not entering the paths nor ordering Ymir. Technically, royal blood is a requirement to use the powers altogether, regardless of if Ymir obeys you or not, or you might just say it was all part of ymir's plan, since she has made multiple decisions by herself like healing Zeke, allowing eren to transform into a colossal titan, summoning past shifters to hold everyone back and trying to peek inside mikasa's head.
Eren has control though so he can do it since he was all over making changes before even he got his powers or was born and even during episode 1 with his trigger to kill all the titans right?
No i am sorry but you are objectively wrong. contrary to popular belief ALL ELDIANS are technically ROYAL it says that Eldians are the subjects of ymir and that subjects of ymir are the descendents of Ymir via her daughters which would make ALL eldians descended from King Fritz so all eldians are royal. Ymir only followed the rules of the royal line(the line descended from King Frtiz Heir) because she was enslaved to his will. once eren broke that she was no longer bound to Zeke@@user-qx1id1dt8x
This is the bad writing of AoT that AnR want to address. Ymir is already freed by Eren that's why there should be no requirement of Royals to use FT since Ymir sided with Eren and was not a slave to the Royals.
@@user-qx1id1dt8xActually nope. Only Ymir can control who will use the FT not the Royals. Ymir had always been a slave to the Royals even in the Paths that's why only the Royals can use FT because Royals control Ymir. Also the reason why Ymir heals Zeke is because Ymir was still a slave to the royals at that time and yes Ymir was a slave of Zeke.
It’s interesting how he made Ymir realize she had to let go of her love for Fritz but it was his love for his friends that led him to a half baked plan of having his friends stop him and become heroes. Had he combined the idea of giving support to Floch and keeping his friends on the island with the idea of completing the rumbling and wiping everyone’s memories, they would have been free. Orr even letting go of his love for his friends and completing the rumbling, then wiping the memories. These would have led to true peace for the Eldians.
True, that would be something he'd look for and fits the character. I think that would be original ending but author had to change it to lame international standards because it gained international attention where usually in the end the bad thing is stopped, auther did tried to fix it by making it erins wish that he wanted to be stopped himself, but that still doesn't complete the story and satisfaction.
Alternate ending: Levi kills Zeke (Beast Titan) and Eren loses the founders ability. When this happens his titan crumbles and nothing is left behind… not even Eren. They discovered that the tail on Erens founder titan was actually a cord that led all the way back to Paradis where Eren was this whole time. This ability was thanks to the Warhammer titan. Historia had just given birth and thanks to Zeke dying at almost the same time the child inherited the beast titans power. This allowed Eren to take the child and begin the rumbling again to finish what he started.
@@hassentrh2118if a titan shifter dies without being eaten their power is passed on to a random newborn eldian child. Eren could know which child received this power with his ability to see the future.
probably Eren actually succeeded but Eren's doesn't like the outcome of all the scenarios that he won. instead, his consciousness travel back in time to redo everything but the only solution he saw is to let his friends fight back and be defeated. making them the heroes of the world. the Eldian and the world reconciliation like post WW2 happened so his friends live an happy life. but humans are humans. Eren succeeded to give his friends a happy life but he failed too stop the attack on paradise and possibly the returned of the titans.
My guess Eren was able to have the pure titans go after Dina Fritz AND the armor/colossal titan is because he wished for all that in the same instance. Kind of like thinking "kill all my enemies" type of command. It only resolved itself after the armor and colossal titan were able to squash the pure titans he had commanded.
I just rewatched that scene and can confirm that Eren made two separate commands. The first was to have the pure titans kill Dina and the second command was to kill Reiner and Bertholdt. This was right after the titans killed Dina.
I wonder how people would react if Isayama did end it like that where Eren completes the Rumbling. Lets say even all his friends lived and Eren erased their memories. Would that really be an ending yall want? Just Armin and Mikasa waking up confused and Eren's like lets go explore the world as Levi, Jean, Connie, Mikasa, Armin, Reiner, Annie, and Pieke all just have fun in a empty world?
@@neotheone97 I know that's bad storytelling. Best scenario would be eren killing off the entire alliance and living the rest of his life in pain and guilt
This is a fantasy, we wish that when there are no enemies and eldian can explore the world in peace but that is not realistic. Whenever there are people, there will be conflict. There is no easy answer to peace. Azumabito told Floch, killing the rest of the world only make the world smaller, there are still differences within the island, people of different side would still fight each other. In the final episode, the marley soldiers and the eldians who came to seek help can still question each other and spark a conflict in a world ending situation. We need people like the scout and Armin to try their hardest to know each other. If every time we face a conflict, we try to murder the other side, the cycle of hatred would just continue. Or if you success, people would just keep killing each other until there is only one person left in the world.
I believe that there was simply no way that Eren would win. Since completing the rumbling would Cause his friends to die, he was sure to never actually do that since his main two golas were achieving freedom for himself and for his friends I think that he didn’t care about Paradis or Eldia in particular and so if the Rumbling DID somehow kill his friends, he probably wouldn’t (continue on with his plan Although it is resllly hard to tell that he would actually do because we are 100% sure that eren would NEVER so Anything that would lead to his friends’ deaths )
The second ending is awesome and makes total sense In addition, he could let his friends live and wipe their memories as well I would much prefer it to the actual ending (which I dont hate btw) The convoluted time travel shenanigans is something that hurt the show in the long run imo
He wouldn't be able to erase Levis and Mikasas memorys though. Ackermanns are immune to his abilitys. So everyone would forget except those two. I guess they would feel really terrible about being the only ones knowing the truth.
Did you know? The Flying Titan was foreshadowed in Season 4 Episode 1: When Falco said head some headache and said "Wasnt I just flying arround and going 'fwsshh' up to titans"
I think what people fail to realize is that this needed to happen for Ymir to be set free. Eren was acting out of Ymir, The only way for ymir to be set free was for Mikasa to kill Eren. To show ymir that it would have been possible for Ymir to kill Fritz ( Cause Ymir Loved King Fritz, but couldnt kill him, but it would have been what was right). Eren said all his visions came true at the end, so there was really nothing he could have done. There is no scenario where eren killed all of humanity. only 80% as so his vision had foretold.
Eren actually won, he accomplished what he wanted the most since the beginning, to eradicate every single one of the giants.. and protect those he cared the most.. and sacrificed everything in order to achieve it. It was all the plan since he got access to the memories of the future.
Very good analysis i agree with you. But i would add 2 simple modifications to your theories. In theory 1 i dont think eren will let his friends die(sspecially armin and mikasa), he could have blown the flying boat or even restrained his friends when they arrived. Theory 2 is correct as well but i think eventually conflicts will be created. Especially by settlers who leave paradise and live on the continent( like people who traveled from europe to americas and over time they're not considered as europeans anymore)
2:00 There's actually an even easier way he could've won. Instead of Flock and his man fighting a losing battle against 2 of the most experienced Titan users they've could've just, you know, take out the ship. They're not Beast Titan/Warhammer Titan which can easily kill a group of people, and there are 20-30 or even more of them. Also Flock and his soldiers had more than enough thunder spears, plus just one thunder spear getting a hit was a guaranteed victory for them.
Hey Yeagerist, in the last episode, Historia had a child that beared some resemblance to eren, and in the show there was an argument that eren and Historia should have had a kid. History claimed the kid was from a farmer but could there be a possibility that the child was erens? Please Answer back or like the comment 🙏
That theory died by revealing the child's eye colors. The people that made this theory waited for the anime to see the color of the eyes, but they were brown in the Manga. Eren has green eyes, which were given to him through his father, which also got it from his family. So the chance of the child being Eren's is 0. The only reason that scene was shown while the rumbling, was to show that life continues, that life is a cycle and when someone dies, another gets born. A similar scene was found in Game of Thrones. Hope this helps!
and on top of it.. as much Mikasa x Eren haters try to avoid the trurth, Eren loved Mikasa just as much as she loved him. This child is not Eren's and if it would have been, we would have seen the green eyes 100%
@@naterodriguez9623 actually it's possible to be erens child because the child can inherit the eyes of their grandparents, after all Carla has brown eyes, so that is a possibility, but what's screwed is Isayama just made the plot points with historia meaningless, since it seems like she doesn't have much importance.
@ddggrdx who knows, but I given up on this point. the author had 2 years to change the story, of attack on titan, but he didn't and made it worse, and most of all people are forgetting the evidence and plot points in the story, where this was how it was meant to end, people need to rewatch the anime to try again.
Eren already foresee the future when he holds Historia's hands and on his own he can't do a thing to stop it, that is why he allowed his friend to stop him. Maybe in his mind that is the only way to prevent the total eradication of human kind.
When hange died, erwin seemed glad that she and the alliance were trying to stop the rumbling, so I think he would try to stop it too if he inherited the collosal titan
Eren would not go "berserk" in the first place if Erwin is the colossal titan. He's already OP enough as human, now with the titan power in his hand, he's unstoppable. there are 2 possible outcome, either Eren will be in Erwin command, or Eren killed (directly or indirectly) by Erwin.
@@adicandra9940 Colossal Titan is really useless if you're a good guy in this show, Eren can just stay near other scouts and running is literally an option.
@@kazedasugoi Erwin is "good guy" enough, but he's not naive, he would kill if it means to gain a greater position strategically, we've been shown over and over again, he's that kind of guy. So he will use the power if he had to. Even without turning to literal Collosal Titan, the healing ability alone could immensely be usefull to him, he's an elite soldier, a very skilled one, coupled with near instant healing ability, he's already better than most soldier, he could focus more on strategizing than to defend himself. About Collosal Titan thing, I highly doubt Erwin would do blow port or a city as go-to strategy. He will likely use covert mission and infiltrate the goverment as much as possible, try to gain influence as much as possible. It also highly likely he would bargain with Willy Tybur, to gain more influence. The problem current timeline, Armin and Hange doesn't have that much skill and experience at bargaining. Hence why the failed and they have no choice to go with Eren plans. About Eren running, I highly doubt he would do that in the first place. Erwin has a very good persuading/bargaining skills. He knows what to say to his subordinate. Even if he can't convince Eren, he can move the entire squad including Levi to capture and kill Eren. he could capture Mikasa first and use her as bargaining chips. Remember how he recruit Levi?
Shouldn’t Eren have been able to make Eldians all normal people thereby ending the threat of titans forever? The only explanation for him not opting for this would be that this did not ensure his friends would live a long life…
bruh the founder can strip titan shifters of their powers, rewrite their bodies and he has millions of colossal titans at his beck and call. stop acting daft. he chose to stop at 80% to make the alliance look good which is a retarded plan because the remaining 20% arent going to give a shit@@GojoTheHonoredOne9
@@CombatUnit621 How is that bad writing? If he just made every eldian normal people, the eldians would just get targeted and eventually wiped out. Eren made himself a enemy, so as to unite Paradis and Marleyans together. And only after did he erase all Titan powers from the world. He made himself lose and had no intention of winning.
Honestly killing Zeke should have been the end for humanity, as the colossal titans should have no longer been under Eren's control, but instead should have reverted to "pure titan mode" and began trying to eat anybody they could lay their hands on. If they didn't, then why was Pastor Nick so insistent that they not let the sunlight touch the exposed wall titan in Season 2? Also, if he had wanted to win, Ymir could have just reconnected his head to his body again to turn into another fishbone titan. But they didn't want to win at that point for reasons that completely escape me. I guess they wanted the Marleyans up on the bluff to see them fighting a difficult battle rather than having it be easy.
Eren sees the a lot of possible futures because of the power of Attack Titan, and the Rumbling is for him the best one for his friends and the people of paradis. Eren knows that if he did not kill the 80 percent of population, the marley will do much more worst genocide to his nakama in paradis once they get the founding titan. Eren also knows that if he choose to save her mother and live a normal life, the marley will still not stop in sending titans, and the killing will not stop in which his friends will die. Eren also knows that if he choose to run with mikasa the night they first land in of marley, he and armin will die in the young age since the titan serum shortens the life span of human titans in which they will die 13 years after gaining the power. So he uses his power for his friends to live in the time of peace where there is no titans. Eren's resolve is one of the most well written by author, and for me it is the best way to end the story.
guys, what happened after the rumbling? did eren really erased memories of the people after the rumbling? (im talking about those 20 percent who survived)
No, after the rumbling and erens death, all titan powers were removed. The only thing he did in regards to people’s memory is restore them. Basically, sometime while the alliance was travelling to stop eren, he transported all of them into the paths to have a separate conversation with each of his friends, for example: the conversation with armin where they agree to meet eachother in hell and the alternate cabin reality where mikasa and eren run away together. Once those conversations were over, he erased it from their memories so they would be able to kill him without feeling guilty. Once eren died, their memories were restored and they remembered the conversations they had with eren in the paths
@@boopboopdepop6294 when the rumbling began, most of paradis supported eren and wanted him to wipe out everything outside the walls. Since the alliance stopped eren, they were seen as traitors to paradis. However, mikasa did not take credit for killing eren which is why she is living peacefully in paradis while the others are travelling by boat to come visit her. As for eren, it’s complicated since everyone outside the walls considered him a villain and most people inside paradis considered him a hero. Hope this helps you can ask any questions you have :)
i love your take on this, but to be conpletely honest, its up to the writers and producers to what happens in the story, so even if it doesnt make sense, its their decision.
The problem with the manga creators and Comic book creators is that they start a big story which become famous and then with time they stop getting ideas and then just want to wrap things up which create a lot of plot holes but they dont care about that because most of the audience is young and they just get emotionally attached with an anime and even if you criticize the smallest thing about things they love, well you know how teenagers react, passive aggressive.
Eren did win. The anime showed this beautifully. By letting the alliance destroy him, Paradis became the superpower, and his friends got to live long lives and feel triumphant. 80% vs 100% is irrelevant to Eren, but his friends would have been miserable for the rest of their lives if they didn’t do everything in their power to stop it. Mikasa wasn’t lying when she told Eren he was family. In truth, she would never feel right with marrying/getting kids with Eren. The real Eren she loved, was the boy that saved her and wrapped the scarf. Because Mikasa killed him, she could cherish the boy she loved, then finally move on, marry a proper man (Jean) and start a family. She also called Eren’s bluff, went against his "command", killing him by her own choice but never letting go of the scarf. Reiner washed away his guilt and sins. Jean reverted back to his old, smug self, and got the girl in the end. Armin got to claim victory and work for peace, Eren’s actions let Armin accept and eventually move on from his own sins. He even admitted that despite his posturing, the selfish monster deep down inside him is grateful that the rumbling happened. Falco & Gabi get married. Historia started a family. Levi found peace, as a wounded but proud scout veteran. His salute spoke more than 1000 words. Connie & Annie got their parents back. Mikasa got to experience 4 years of being together with Eren. It gave her the closure she needed, as well as showing her how that version of Eren was empty and depressed, and that Eren would never change for her. Isayama has always been a tad subtle and mysterious with his characters, and Yuki Kaji played the part perfectly. Eren tried his best to sugarcoat the sad truth - he’s a maniac who wanted to kill everyone. Perhaps if he spelled that out more directly, more watchers would have realized that, but the character writing would have been poorer for it. Truth is, Eren was only ever truly happy while doing the rumbling. To the point where he was okay with sacrificing his mom to achieve his dream. We saw that in special 1. Paradis got a fighting chance, and expanded far into the future. No empire is eternal. If Paradis remained for eternity, that would have been a victory for King Fritz, not our heroes. The boy who encountered the tree won’t restart the cycle. Hallucinogenia grants wishes, not titan powers. All that died with Ymir. The boy has a dog by his side, is an adventurer and explorer. Who knows what wonderful world he can usher in. Thank you Isayama for this perfect story, and thank you WIT & Mappa for telling it in the way it deserved. Sasageyo

@@Ogg_shH35367 but that ending could never happen since in that ending eren grows to an old man when he really has a couple months to live by the time he started the rumbling...
Something I've been wondering...Erin completes the Rumbling. Ymir can rest and (if it is possible) leaves Erin with all the Founding Titan powers. Erin had created his own closed loop, but nothing was said about manipulating the timeline _afterwards,_ once that loop was complete. Maybe it's a stupid idea, but I have a tendency to picture weird scenarios in my head when I'm on the cusp of sleep.
but eren already saw the future, and nothing worked out, its fixed timeline no matter what he does, its going to happen, and its like loop hole , the very last seen a boy and dog goes to that tree confirms it will happen again and again,
There are definately big loopholes in ending. Well but it was fine ending. I liked the last ending you devised. Eren surviving and suffering would have been best conclusion to the story.
@@LuisSierra42 How? Eren's main goal is freedom that's why he killed his own mother. If he did 100% Rumbling for sure Paradis would've survived.Yeah killing his friends is something that he didn't decide because he did say he would give them the freedom to choose for themselves they didn't choose to save their people instead choose to stand against Eren. So that's their fault.Eren had the chance to actually stop war.
2 things: 1) Eren never intended to win In some form he mentioned that this outcome was essentially his solution, and the exact way he died was necessary for Ymir to let go of the past and to completely undo the titan "curse". Eren seemingly having control over the founder's power does not mean he has absolutely full control. That control is just allowed by Ymir, who was said to be interested in Mikasa for some reason. So Ymir was very likely blocking Eren from erasing titans, and only Mikasa could change her mind (probably by showing her that it is possible to go against the person for whom she dedicated her life for) 2) Regarding the Zeke dying part From Ymir's backstory we found out that as far as titans go, royal blood is not a thing. The "tree" symbolizing the connections was shown to be growing a branch each time the 3 original daughters who devoured her remains had offsprings, and same for the offspring's offsprings. Essentially the bloodline just got to everyone, which is why everyone can become a titan on the island. There was no extra inbreeding or anything like that for the royals to keep the blood strong, so the ratio of the original royal blood should not be much higher in the technical royal bloodline. In my opinion based on Ymir's past, the royal bloodline is symbolic for Ymir due to her being a slave to the royals all her life, and also due to her weird screwed up love towards Fritz (it was explicitly said that she did love him). Since the bloodline thing was always just a byproduct of Ymir's imprisoned mindset, providing more service or affinity for those who she recognized as her "masters by inheritance" (somewhat confirmed by accepting orders from Zeke at the beginning), it stands to reason that after Ymir sided with Eren, the same or even higher affinity was granted to him (along that being taken from the "royal bloodline") There were very plot hole-ish points due to the timeless mindset brought by Ymir, but what I wrote above is the closest thing that fills these in, while all points in it being explicitly said or heavily implied in the show. There were a lot of symbolism at the end, which brings both beauty and uncertainty and it also has to be understood that Eren came up with things when he was in like a 4D state (seeing both the future and the past at the same time similar to fate proved by the time he saved the beggar kid). He had no proper control over planning the outcome due to him not really understanding how that 4D state worked, so even though he kind of planned it out based on what he wanted, he quite literally became a prisoner to his freedom, where he only left one path for himself, which he was unable to stray from. This "skill issue" of handling this state of mind can basically be blamed for any and every non-perfect action he made. He basically generated the best future that his uncontious desire was allowing him to.
Eren could have won Eren didn't WANT to win. He marched towards the timeline he saw as allowing his friends to die of old age. To that end, he managed to win
The Rumbling stopped because Eren was no longer in contact with centipede If he connects back to it, He would have power to retaliate and I guess he is still the founder and somehow he was able to transfer back to a colossal titan and that is the extent I believe because the power of he founding titan comes from the centipede. But somehow I choose to believe Eren could have made contact again but he wanted to end it there.
No this is wrong the rumbling stopped because Eren wanted it to happen. remember HE ate the Founding titan not Zeke, not the halucigenia(not a centepede) the power of the founder is not from the halucigenia the power that Ymir gained was given to her by the halucigenia because it granted her the power over all organic matter. she created the titan powers using the power it gave her. but she died and it pasted on to her decendents(eren being the last descendent to eat the power) once she was freed from the royal lines slavery it was Eren who had control over that power
The centipede appeared there by eren from the power granted by ymir. I mean Eren is practically OP here. You are right. I guess Eren exactly needed to stop at this point to make sure events unfold correctly. Exactly 20 percent is left.
"What if Eren won?" ...but he DID won in the end. Everything goes as he intended. As he wanted. As he see it how it happened. He sacrifice 80% of humanity to save his friend and erasing titan. He kinda failed at the later tho. That new tree gonna give us the Boruto of AoT.

how he failed at erasing titans? his friends got their life spans back and the eldians cant turn to titans and that tree at the end isnt what give the power its just a normal tree that grew that big... the matter thing is what gives the power even if the tree granted the power atleast he got rid of it for thousands of years and by that time a titan no longer really poses a threat since you know.... NUKES exist now.... propably lazer guns too

What are your thoughts on the last episode of Attack On Titan?
Yes
Love the content
Hi
me who is painting attack on titan characters before this video was uploaded
😢 is all I feel
my own personal theory as to why the rumbling stopped when Zeke died, is because Eren wanted it to, he wanted his friends to have a fighting chance to stop him, and be seen as heroes to the remaining 20% of man kind.
@@sourpuss574 real
@@sourpuss574 yeah he literally said that he wanted them to win so that everyone would unite against him. If he wanted to he could've controlled them and easily won.

The fact that Eren could've easily won but chose not to shows that he wanted someone to stop him
He literally said he wanted to kill everyone... his goal was 100%...
That was literally his plan, to make his friends the "heroes"...
🤦♂️
Yeah and even if he would have just "told them that" they probably would have tried to stop him anyways
Exactly, he achieved his goals. Anyone that says win simply does not understand the story.
naw apparently what happened was gonna happen anyway since the start its was timeline and was gonna happen that way and that in its self is the most lazy excuse for writing a ba ending.

Dedicate your Heart! Our enemies aren't monsters or Titans, they are people, and they have to die.
the nuclear war is literally so much longer later that conflict is most likely COMPLETELY UNRELATED
Technically Eren did win. His goal was to kill 80% then have Mikasa and friends become heroes for stopping him.
But in future Eldia is destroyed.
in the manga he said he didn't even know if they'd survive the rumbling lol. and realistically the remaining 20% aren't going to give a flying fuck who armin is
@@manumudgal4988 Yes, but Eren also admited that he didn't think it would stop future wars and conflicts. He only did it to give Eldia an even playing field. This isn't to say I agree with his method. Genocide is evil.
@deepseadarew6012 The question is why would wiping out the rest of the humanity not stop wars and conflict? Paradis looked like a utopia before being carpet bombed so imagine if the threat of humanity had been completely extinguished.

It’s wrong to wipe memories tho I wouldn’t like my memories to be wipes after all of that tf😅
Yeah wiping memories is taking away someone's freedom. Big no no
True, that would be something he'd look for and fits the character. I think that would be original ending but author had to change it to lame international standards because it gained international attention where usually in the end the bad thing is stopped, auther did tried to fix it by making it erins wish that he wanted to be stopped himself, but that still doesn't complete the story and satisfaction.

Levi kills Zeke (Beast Titan) and Eren loses the founders ability. This allowed Eren to take the child and begin the rumbling again to finish what he started.

probably Eren actually succeeded but Eren's doesn't like the outcome of all the scenarios that he won. instead, his consciousness travel back in time to redo everything but the only solution he saw is to let his friends fight back and be defeated. making them the heroes of the world. the Eldian and the world reconciliation like post WW2 happened so his friends live an happy life. but humans are humans.

Since completing the rumbling would Cause his friends to die, he was sure to never actually do that since his main two golas were achieving freedom for himself and for his friends
I think that he didn’t care about Paradis or Eldia in particular and so if the Rumbling DID somehow kill his friends, he probably wouldn’t (continue on with his plan
Although it is resllly hard to tell that he would actually do because we are 100% sure that eren would NEVER so Anything that would lead to his friends’ deaths )

@AikaVRCHAT Oh thanks, I'm not a hater, I just like Historia over Mikasa
@@naterodriguez9623 actually it's possible to be erens child because the child can inherit the eyes of their grandparents, after all Carla has brown eyes, so that is a possibility, but what's screwed is Isayama just made the plot points with historia meaningless, since it seems like she doesn't have much importance.
@ddggrdx who knows, but I given up on this point. the author had 2 years to change the story, of attack on titan, but he didn't and made it worse, and most of all people are forgetting the evidence and plot points in the story, where this was how it was meant to end, people need to rewatch the anime to try again.
lets be honest. if falco could not fly eren would have won the final battle.
Eren already foresee the future when he holds Historia's hands and on his own he can't do a thing to stop it, that is why he allowed his friend to stop him. Maybe in his mind that is the only way to prevent the total eradication of human kind.

Once eren died, their memories were restored and they remembered the conversations they had with eren in the paths

i love your take on this, but to be conpletely honest, its up to the writers and producers to what happens in the story, so even if it doesnt make sense, its their decision.
That would have actually been a really cool, bittersweet ending.
Thing is, he did win, he got what he wanted, his Friends could live the rest of their Lives in Peace, he chose to let them stop him
Eren did win.

2 things:
1) Eren never intended to win
In some form he mentioned that this outcome was essentially his solution, and the exact way he died was necessary for Ymir to let go of the past and to completely undo the titan "curse".
Eren seemingly having control over the founder's power does not mean he has absolutely full control. That control is just allowed by Ymir, who was said to be interested in Mikasa for some reason. So Ymir was very likely blocking Eren from erasing titans, and only Mikasa could change her mind (probably by showing her that it is possible to go against the person for whom she dedicated her life for)
2) Regarding the Zeke dying part
From Ymir's backstory we found out that as far as titans go, royal blood is not a thing.
Since the bloodline thing was always just a byproduct of Ymir's imprisoned mindset, providing more service or affinity for those who she recognized as her "masters by inheritance" (somewhat confirmed by accepting orders from Zeke at the beginning), it stands to reason that after Ymir sided with Eren, the same or even higher affinity was granted to him (along that being taken from the "royal bloodline")
There were very plot hole-ish points due to the timeless mindset brought by Ymir, but what I wrote above is the closest thing that fills these in, while all points in it being explicitly said or heavily implied in the show.
Eren could have won
Eren didn't WANT to win.
He marched towards the timeline he saw as allowing his friends to die of old age. To that end, he managed to win
eren did want to win but he knew he couldn’t

I am more sad for the Trio(Eren,Mikasa and Armin) than the world 😢
"What if Eren won?"
...but he DID won in the end. Everything goes as he intended. As he wanted. As he see it how it happened.
He sacrifice 80% of humanity to save his friend and erasing titan. He kinda failed at the later tho. That new tree gonna give us the Boruto of AoT.
Eren, Mikasa and Armin commentated in that ending for Mikasa the ending is good for Armin he knew the toxic people arguing in the shadows. Eren the ending its my ending i will make the ending that I want in my story. its like Iseyama saying its's my story I can do what I want. also Mikasa goth outfit looks cute.
how he failed at erasing titans? his friends got their life spans back and the eldians cant turn to titans and that tree at the end isnt what give the power its just a normal tree that grew that big... the matter thing is what gives the power
even if the tree granted the power atleast he got rid of it for thousands of years and by that time a titan no longer really poses a threat since you know.... NUKES exist now.... propably lazer guns too
@@hassentrh2118 haha you really didn't understand. you don't even know the true origins of the titans. the Hallucigenia is laughing at you and the true power of it.
Those are some good ideas. A good story could be written by using either of them as an ending.
Eren did nothing wrong
Please tell me you are joking.
@@0cheese6969 Please tell me that you're fun at parties
ok here's my pov i believe there are two types of movies/series/animes 1) tribute to a real story - where you cannot add fiction , imagination
2) fictional , creative something you would imagine which does not exist in real life
Now i beleive that movie's/series/anime other than true stories shouldn't be sad or have a sad ending, it doesn't make sense these things are to enjoy , they are a escape from our everyday reality currently we have too many problems in our world we have wars , terrorism happening in this world why would you make something fictional sad , don't we already have so many problems in our real life that our imagination is also sad
I beleive that these things shall be idealistic not realistic they should be an escape from reality where we get a happy ending at the end
In aot they could've shown marley as evil people from the beginning and then in the end eren kills them and eldians live happily ever after ❤
But they tried to show the real thing that human conflict will never stop bullshit , yeah we already know that
And what happened in the end he took away all the titan power and there are still two sides of people left they are going to fight anyways by any other means by armory or nukes or other shit , there was no point of making this anime then 😢
"Only eren will get what he wants", he literally got what he wanted so he won, eren didn't lost

You’re not Muzan, Lord Muzan would never call humans Lovely. He would either say Pathetic Lowly
did this guy even watch the show, eren wanted them to stop him, he wanted to lose so they can be the heroes.
Eren could not "WIN" because he wanted to be defeated
That’s true eren yeah he could’ve won but he chose not to. He wanted to die, but he couldn’t.
@@Mehhriley precisely so, when he was "hobo eren" everything he did wasn't his choice. he was playing the role that "fate" needed him to play in order to achieve the only outcome he deemed necessary. Allowing Armin and Mikasa to live a long life of peace.

You're not serious, right? You do know he lost the battle, _on purpose,_ right? He knew the future, he knew they would stop him, he let it play out in a very specific way _BECAUSE_ that's how he wanted it to play out. He didn't lose the final battle. It happened exactly as he planned it to.
While he was deeply saddened by what he had to do, he felt like there was no other way to achieve his goal of saving paradise and his friends.
