Great design! How’s it working for you? How do you keep predators out? Are you able to keep it warm enough and not too warm? Thanks 🙏🏽

Love the set up, but wonder about the birds getting enough sunlight?

Hey Ms. Martha. Great question. Thanks for watching. They are chicks and in there for up to three weeks, It’s fully enclosed to protect from drafts as many chicks don’t survive that. When they are out of the brooder they are moved to pasture where they will receive plenty of Sunlight, grass, and bugs.

How do you move it when they poop all over ground? Or do you use something on the ground?

We use pine shavings at the bottom of the brooder which are changed out every other day.

Love this❤️ We are looking to to do a hoop coop brooder but more as a temporary set up. Had brooders in house last year and never again.

Isnt it cold for them in there during winter?

We live in Florida so our winters are very mild. However, With our heat lamps we have it has been in the 30’s and all the birds stayed alive.
