- Chasing 10's in my Street Freak Firebird after reviving this thing from the DEAD! I scooped up this totally 80's Barn Find 1974 Firebird in 2019 for 1000 bucks and have spent the last year turning it back into a ROWDY street/strip car that has enough flake in the paint to blind pedestrians. We go back over the story of getting it up and running, and then install a proper Nascar 4 speed Dog-box, 9 inch rear, and a set of slicks and hit the track!

What dont you like if ya don't mind me asking. The pair I've started have % watching is roadkill with Mike and Dave, dave drives me crazy he comes off so know it all and he does know alot but the show changed when it went to motortrend and he got stuffy it seems. I like him on the engine show but for some reason he just bugs me.

The Firebird is one of the coolest finds/projects ever. You need to make a T-shirt of it using the old school metalflake iron-on transfers like we had in the 70's to capture the real look of the paint.

18:44 I use bolts with the heads cut off for guide pins on the top 2 mounting bolts so the trans lines up easier when stabbing it.

Every car I've had & kept, except my first, a 63 Nova 3 on the tree, was a 4-speed. Even my 68 C10 that i've had for 30 years! Good luck in the future!
