We make some killer passes down the track, but BEST OF ALL we reunite the original painter and builder of my Firebird with his old car, and get him behind the wheel!     Hey Tony.. Gene is my Dad.. I want to Thank you so much for giving him that moment... he often talks about those days and his only regret was that he didn't meet my mother until a little later so he never got to drive her in that car... YOU gave that to him. THANK YOU.

    This video kind of got to me. I'd love to see a photo of Gene and his wife from back in the day.
    I'm a couple weeks shy of 67. I'm not much to look at now but there was a time when I was "lean and solid everywhere, like a rock", drove cool cars, listened to the best music and we all had the time of our lives. 50 years later, I still have some cool cars but those early days are nothing but a memory now. What I would give to be able to just sit behind the wheel of one of those cars I had.
    Thank you for letting Gene relive some of his memories. I think all of us old farts will get a smile out of watching him.

    Man I miss Pontiac. Especially the Grand Prix and Bonneville from the 70s. Never had a Firebird but this is an awesome example. Putting him behind the wheel again was a stand-up thing to do. Keep doing your thing.

    Tony, I was at that event. I was pitted about 4 cars down from you. I have a red 4th Gen Camaro. At the end of the video, when you are changing the tires and talking to the previous owner, I almost walked between you and the girl shooting the video, before I noticed her, and realized you were filming and walked behind her. When I was leaving the track, I noticed the Firebird in front of me also leaving. I thought it was you. My first thought was, wow Tony even drove the car here, that's cool. Now that I know it was the original owner driving his car after 30 years, that's even cooler. Great video.

    I love the firebird it's awesome when I was a kid in the 60s my next door neighbor was a biker he specialized in Metal Fight paint jobs candy Madness it was cool I learned a lot I learned how to do that stuff I did it in the '70s he painted a few cars but it was mostly motorcycles Choppers customs his name was candy crawl have a great day thanks for the inspirational video I can build cars arrested anymore but I can really enjoy this have a great day
