Great video. One question tho...(yeah late to the party) Shouldn't the regulator gear (arm) position be clocked to it's frame in some way before removing the large plastic ring gear? Or does the motor simply use stop switches to determine full travel up and down?
Hi Mike, I've cleaned it, but motor over runs? What looks like a bimetallic switch doesn't trip the motor, have I got that right and now what to do. Replacement motor?

Those plates get hot and move apart too far, thus loosing contact. some say putting a drop of solder on them also works.?
