I had same issue I just turn off the truck wait until screen go completely off and turn on again, also few days ago I went to Peterbilt and replace the transmission shifter and works good now.
Try putting it in neutral as you are driving down the road. If I do that and coast for several hundred yards it goes away. There is a recall on the stalks but no stalks available at this time....go figure! This will be the 4th new stalks in this tractor and it's only a year and a half old....Pete 579
@@quoshon100 not exactly, but I have a theory. It may have been because I tried to shift and switch between gears at the same time without realizing. It would cause the computer to glitch and force me to stop. But that doesn't solve all the instances. I did notice that it would not happen if If I shifted down while below 63 MPH.
I’m saving this video for educational purposes because you’re a life saver!!! Thank you so much!!
im glad it helped you out

yes that what happens with these trucks. We hve replaced for several trucks shifters aswell
It’s under recall now. The connectors were not crimped correctly at the factory. Dealers replacing the shifter or retightening the lose connections
Thank you!

Too many problems with these new t680s next gen. Look good but cheaply made not like the older T680s. Overpriced.
@@Atapoii correct we are not happy with these truck too
I started having this issue show up when hauling a load uphill and then manually shifting down to 11th while still at speed. I'd like to know why.
Especially these 2023 pcacars has some computer defect from manufacture. Maybe thats the reason.
You ever figure out what it was?

My truck gets stuck on Drive. Does this help? Oftenly I have to shut it down for 15 minutes
usually it does, this is one of the tips to get your truck keep running.
I had the same problem, changed the (gear) selector
Peterbilt 579 x15
They replaced it last year and it has started doing it again
What if you don’t see drive or reverse
yeah it may not work in all the cases.
there different way of doing reset of the transmission in you tube you can find
Did that even work ?
Yes, in most of teh times
What's the real issue with this error? Do you know?
these 2023 paccar trucks has manufacture computer defect.
I was just told that is related to samsara camera. The device is interfering with main computer. Unplug samsara module.

Peterbilt is trash! They all have so many issues. Maybe the classics were good, but they suck now
agree with you,
Flip flop wearing truck driver. SMH
he is not a driver he is a mechanic
Dictating what other men wear seems kind of gay to me.
Ken worthless t680 👎
