Your the man Mr Martin always taking care of y'all's stuff and saving your business alot of money hats of to ya brother
my hat also sir
If that's not a revised part it'll fail again. There's a place in grand rapids, mi that peterbilt uses that rebuilds them for $800. The circuit board inside was made poorly. It used to give me transmission fault and not allow the transmission to shift when you put it in manual mode going up and down mountains. You had to pull over and reset the truck to reset it.
Do know the name of the company
None of them are, they’re all made poorly and still fail. Send me the info if you can if the person that does them. I have a couple that need rebuilt.
@@TruckingTogetherWeller and in my search look up a place called circuit board medics, they don't for 500
Weller does them?
@@TruckingTogether I believe that was the name of the place they use. I can call Peterbilt in a bit
The best to both of you. Many blessings
Gr8 Vids & thxs 4 taking everyone along 4 the journey!!!!!😎🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🔊🇺🇸
Enjoyed the video. You are one heck of good mechanic.😊😊😊😊
Martin you da man!!!!! I love watching you work on the tractors. The stuff you have learned over the years. I would have loved to have learned what you have learned in your life time so far on maintenance with the units. It probably would have kept me out there. Your one of the old school drivers. I take my hat off to ya. I like how you talk and show how it’s done. Great video. Have a safe and a great day. Hopefully soon both you and Alice will be pounding the highways again.
Martin, you found a small Sasquatch under there with all that hair😂😂😂
Take a piece of paper place on top of socket push the screw driver bit into place. It will work also on bolts that keeps falling out of a socket. Old mechanic showed me this trick years ago,
I use a bit of masking or painters tape to hold a couple of screws onto screwdriver for a very inaccessible location when reinstalling the cowling cover over wiper motors on my old car.
Enjoying the daily content. Almost 20K subs!
Adds a new meaning to gear jammer!!! 19:35
Looking forward to see the path forward with Tiny.
God Bless

Great video. Good lesson on what might be lurking under the dash of our trucks. With that much dog hair I hope you have changed the recirculation filter for the air conditioning. Be safe and best wishes.
Very good thank you for sharing
I lov e it "not a dust cover" but a "dog hair shield" 😂😂lmao iykyk
Great video yall i pray l never have to change one. I'm a 18 speed kinda guy lol. Yall take care be safe 🙏.
Watching this ,I am grateful for working on 359,s and w900
Good job Martin 👍.,. I hope you got a thank you letter from paccar.. for their record profits this year 🎉
Yeah, really lol
Cool video man 👍
You are great teacher you already saved someone $150 +😊
Nice Job !
Heck, I'm gonna be able to build a Peterbuilt from scratch pretty quick! You would make a pretty damn good tech school teacher there Martin! But I think you're probably like a lot of us. I'd rather drive. Be safe and hang in there. Something will come up. (You could ditch Cali and head out here to Wyoming Or Montana.) There's still work to be had for drivers like you two! Take care!!
great Video
Martin- Did you watch a You-tube video about how to replace that shifter? Glad it worked. Save the manuals. JM
You might want to change the fresh air filter while you have it apart I'll bet you there's a ton of dog hair on it.😮
Alice, Martin.... for sure with that much long dust catchin dog hair up under the cowling..... be double sure to replace your cab air filter and under bunk filter... As well as check the air intakes for recircled air
those were replaced in Part 1 of Failure is an Option if you caught that video, so about 2 weeks prior to this one
@@TruckingTogether Outstanding!! those darn dog hairs get in every book n cranny in a closed environment!
Perhaps Alice is moulting send her too Brazil 😆 🤣 😂
Cant wait to watch Martin fix Tiny in a 20min video...LOL, that would require alot of editing. This trans sel sw is just like replacing the Multi-Func Switch on your F-Series. Ive replaced MANY of those.....
it’s going to be a couple weeks of videos more likely lol
The overhanl should be cover by warranty if it was done at authorized cummins dealer, it used to be when i work there and any cummins recon parts that were used should have porgrssive warrant on them, you know like recon liner kits rods etc.@@TruckingTogether
What did you put around the column that looks like it would keep dust out 😆
Martin, please be careful, using wood blocks to support your truck is so dangerous, years ago as a part time fireman, I had to attend a garage where a guy had his car up on wood blocks, the blocks moved and I and another had to scrap him off the bottom of the car, please use proper stands, stay safe, great vlogs Alice keep him safe, regards John
But I believe that most cars don’t have enough room to be under it without some lifting up while it looks like one can be under these trucks without any added height so the blocks simply give a bit extra room to operate in.
Of course that might depend on the body size of the person working on it, but think Martin would still be safe.
A video on another channel for a wrecker operator is where there was a similar message. He said even if it dropped, he would have enough room but blocks made it more comfortable to do the work.
I’ll keep my manual. Any regrets yet? Love the channel keeper truckin! FJB
None at all. This was preventive maintenance
I wouldn’t know how to drive that .🙁 13 or 18 speed for me .👍
What's the reason for the cloth cover over the steering column ?
You could nearly make another dog with all that hair 😁
I think my truck needs this replaced. I never have this problem while driving it will do it when I go to start it and won't start. Usually cycle the key several times and it will start. And is random. Not every time
Good morning y'all time to GIT R DONE
If I heard dog hair once lol
I have 2020 kw t680 same shift stalk . I got the 521 code break pedal postion signal and transmission requsted gear and transmission fault on dash. Sometimes its appear and not going to reverse. It could be stalk?
Hey saw the engine on the pallet in Mincel video 🤔
we run a week behind currently on air dates, quality takes time to edit
Glad your getting Tiny back on the road
Dog hair shield HA
Thats not dog hair. Its some old man’s that’s been driving that truck for years old leg hair !!! Lol.
It the boogie man
did it fix the problem
Probably all the dog hair shorted out the switch
🤚🏽😎🙋🏽♂️
Crazy that part is almost $1000
The XY shifter in the old eaton autos are over $4500 😳
@@TruckingTogether damn
@@TruckingTogetherthat’s disgraceful
Douse anybody know if this has to be programmed or can I just swap it??
Disconnect your batteries and just swap. No need for programming.
Can you get me the name of the guy who rebuilt them in Dallas please?
I never got that info. Last I heard Weller can rebuild them through a 3rd party.
Hello 👋 Hey Hi and Howdy 👋.. Drivewyze Rocks
What is contact info for rebuild shop ?
For the shifter? I haven’t found it yet.
Edit: Just talked to weller truck parts. They do it for $623
How much was the it $$$ ?
$900 something with tax
How do you knowthat it was from your dog and not the other persons dog
it’s from a former owners dog
So what code was it giving you
Transmission requested gear and popped up a stop driving message. Forgot the actual code. Kept running it like this just fine
@@TruckingTogether I get that also on my eld it reads fault codes but nothing on dash as far as engine light yours same?
Never threw an engine light. Just popped up a ghost code. It would say transmission fault seek service immediately too but a cycle of the key would make that go away.
Thank you so much. Many blessings
Roger on the disgusting crap!!
Ain't your daughter and son in law driving that truck
currently yes
I think we need name the no name truck Boomer ! Boomer didn’t have a problem booming out to take the teem !!!
Having dogs in any living space is disgusting.
