The demon seed would not be nearly as strong without the ungodly amount of healing, removal and card draw in the warlock class. If released a of couple of years ago the demon seed would not be a very good card because you would not reliably reach fatigue
@Canberk thats why i would say Genn and Baku are more broken then Demon Seed. They dont need cards to break the game.. they do it by just existing. No matter the format these 2 cards would always be broken while Demon Seed needs a specific set of card effects to unleash its full broken potential. Its not by much but i would say Genn and Baku are the most broken cards they ever released :P
Sylvanas was a good minion to play, she only had some good combos or some match ups that she was annoying to deal against. Ragnaros though... Ragnaros was stupidly good in a good way.It sucked when you had full board thought and Ragnaros decided today is your doom day.
if people dont mention ragnaros or sylvanas, is because they are new to hearthstone and know little about its past, ragnaros and sylvanas were staple and used in every single deck possible, even in aggro sometimes
A few personals of mine that didn't make the list : - Mutanus : This card should have been a class card (probably warlock), the effect is too strong for a neutral. - The Lich King/Ragnaros/Sylvanas : Strong generic tempo plays. - Malygos/Mech'Thun : Enables half of the combos decks. - Mr. Smite : Leeroy with pirate synergies. - Archmage Vargoth : A strong effect that's easy to abuse due to its moderate cost. - Brann Bronzebeard : Might be the card with the most synergies in the game. - Shudderwock : Arguably the strongest effect they ever printed. - Gruul : Gruul.
Millhouse Manastorm is the real deal. OP for its mana cost, a super duper minion for any zoo deck, awesome voice line and great beard! Who cares if your opponent could play spells for 0 mana on his/her next turn!? A petty drawback for the legend himself!
I was hoping to see Zul'jin here; I played spell hunter throughout Rumble, and I remember him being really strong. He was a hunter-yogg that gave you armor, refreshed your secrets, and could easily cast twice his own cost in spells while also upgrading your hero power.
I just love the thought of Mankrik, 2 minions for 3 mana which are relatively strong statted, and 3 face damage. Not OP, but definitely can make the opponents life way harder than it should be.
so crazy that leeroy was considered strong even at 5 mana yet got powercrept by an insane margin by Mr. Smite. For 1 higher mana cost Smite gets: - +3 health - removed downside of whelps - pirate tag (one of the best tribes in the current game) - granted charge to ALL pirates and not just himself Seriously this card is so nuts that he's even played in non-pirate decks. WTF were they thinking?
I'm amazed there was no word about Frost Lich Jaina, Brann Bronzebeard or even Ticketus. They all were meta-defining. Also they were cards that were fun to play - pain to endure 😅
The thing with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza wasn't just the card itself it was also the nature of the DoD expansion too. The expansion added in lots of strong and utilitarian dragons into the game on top of the strong/high-cost dragons of classic, this made alextraszas battlecry even better, especially in standard, as you rarely got any bad rolls. One could expect to get dragons around the 4-7 mana cost range consistently, and about 30% of the time high-rolling 8+ mana dragons. There is a reason why some non-highlander decks ran it as if you received the effect, you could quite often just win the game or at least swing it.
Shadow Jewelr Hanar is absolutely busted with thief rogue. He's basically an infinite resource mine because the secrets he generates basically makes him impossible to get rid of. Plus with Rogue cards that can shuffle copies into your deck and return to your hand it was impossible to lose when you got him out
might not be the most powerful, but my favorite is Whizbang the Wonderful. It really made the game a lot better and more fun to play for me, being able to play the same "deck" and always be able to have a different (sometimes) kinda viable deck to play with
I am a subscriber and I watch every video you post the same day it is posted. I like your new directions a lot. I look forward to your videos. Two things I hope you will change. 1) you say in your canned message “a lot of you aren’t subscribed?and I would appreciate it” and that feels like nagging, so change that wording. Instead you might say, “I promise you entertaining daily content just like this and you won’t regret clicking that button” 2) the past tense of “cast a spell” is also “ cast a spell”. There’s no such word as “casted.” (Not for fishing either).
Back in knights of the frozen throne, i had the stupid elemental jade rogue deck. Play val the hollow, play a shit ton of Servant of Kalimos to discover more Servants or Jade Spirit. And just spread all the jade cards across val the hollows copy. My friends hated me for playing this disaster, just because i could randomly generate elemental ... i thought it was a shit deck.
You did not even mentioned the most powerfull legendary weapon ever, Ancharrrr, since it was printed it has never stoped being played on wild, not only on pirate, but combo warrior too, it draws both of your risky skippers to survive until the combo, is by far the best legendary weapon
I DID forget about Kronx, which blows my mind he used to drive me absolutely crazy as I saw him all the time lethaling me. I always felt like I always had him and Galakrond in my hand when I died lol
For anyone that does not play hearthstone and gets confused why some worse cards are on the list here. A lot of these cards would be really bad today, but because of power creep used to be a lot better. To the context of time is really important for a lot of these cards (e.g. Loatheb, Dr. Boom etc)
When I started playing HS in 2015 everybody seemed to agree that one of the most powerful legendaries in the game was Tirion and I'm surprised that it never even gets an honorable mention :/
Went through my collection to disenchant some old cards a few hours ago and saw tarim. He will never see play again in wild but i kept him for the memories
I had a shaman galakrond deck I used to use to where before completing my quest I would use galakrond so then I would be galakrond but with the double battlecry hero power so when I drew kronx I could double his affect then put him in my hand and do it again
I hear what you're saying about death knight effects, but their hero powers are arguably the more important aspect of the card and rexxar had by far the best hero power, some of the beasts you could create were insane especially when paired with dire frenzy.
Far be it from me to tell you how to do your job, your vids are popping off, but you maybe could have extended this by doing one for legendary minions and another or spells, then maybe best hero cards. Anyway love the cardumentaries, keep it up
Dragon queen was the card that made me hard quit hearth stone. It was hard to try and play against cards in a highlander deck since you couldn't anticipate a one of in a deck of 30. But somehow my opponent would always drop dragon queen on turn 9 or 10, high roll, and I would lose.
Millhouse manastorm is the strongest legendary in the game. Great stats for the cost with a battlecry that makes *ALL OF YOUR* opponents *SPELLS COST 0 MANA!!* This card is a 1 way ticket to value town.
As somebody who played back in vanilla and quiet during witchwood. My favorite legendary is Nexus Champion saraad. Why? Well i had a arena run where i had 6 of them in my deck and it was fucking hillarious. I also ran it in my controle warrior deck back in the grand tournemant. Yes grand tournament is my favorite set and yes it is kinda shit but it was such a great meta.
Did...did you not play during Knights of the Frozen Throne or something? Bloodreaver Gul'dan was more of a meme card than anything compared to the other death knights. Anduin was pretty good, but by far the most powerful was frostlich Jaina. Elemental mage was everywhere during Knights, and since decks were slower, it was a big ask to kill a mage before turn 9 when they would play that and the game was basically over because infinite sustain.
millhouse would be 'usually' safe to play turn 1 or 2, because opponent isn't going to keep expensive spells in opening hand, but anytime after that it's suicidal
Boom hero card is not really that good. The reason it was meta defining was the lack of other hero cards during that time. Guldan, Jaine and Anduin hero cards were much stronger
I always played hearthstone but kinda lost the interest. Been 2 years and I’m back and All because of this channel! In 1987 I hit a women with my car in Portugal and I got away with it
I think it just shows how strong Loatheb is that he STILL sees play in wild after like almost 10 years. But best legendary ever has to be Zilliax for me.
Jesus I've been subscribed for so long I'm starting to regret it with you chastising me every time I like that you don't limit yourself to "top 10" or "top 8" or whatever, just talk about everything noteworthy
Lorewalker Cho solos the whole verse
jade serpent guide you
Cho early game mvp for me in wild atm
I think is a duel between Caverns Below, Genn - Baku and Demon Seed for the best - most broken legendary ever. Just look at the nerfs, bans, etc.
The demon seed would not be nearly as strong without the ungodly amount of healing, removal and card draw in the warlock class. If released a of couple of years ago the demon seed would not be a very good card because you would not reliably reach fatigue

I kinda agree, but I was really expecting Ragnaros and Sylvanas.
Sylvanas was a good minion to play, she only had some good combos or some match ups that she was annoying to deal against.
Ragnaros though... Ragnaros was stupidly good in a good way.It sucked when you had full board thought and Ragnaros decided today is your doom day.
@@ДмитрийЛихачев-с3д yeah, they were played because they were the best. They absolutely were meta defining, almost every non-aggro deck played them.

You’d be a fool to underestimate Gruul!
Millhouse Manastorm is the real deal. OP for its mana cost, a super duper minion for any zoo deck, awesome voice line and great beard!

As someone whose been with Hearthstone since basically the beginning, this was a lovely trip down memory lane - especially the Yogg mention!
I'm amazed there was no word about Frost Lich Jaina, Brann Bronzebeard or even Ticketus. They all were meta-defining. Also they were cards that were fun to play - pain to endure 😅
Sylvanas was really good. Also, KT was a personal favorite. KT might not be one of the best, but it was underrated, imo
The thing with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza wasn't just the card itself it was also the nature of the DoD expansion too. OG Reno has to be up there, winning the game against aggro by just dropping this felt so good
Shadow Jewelr Hanar is absolutely busted with thief rogue. He's basically an infinite resource mine because the secrets he generates basically makes him impossible to get rid of. Plus with Rogue cards that can shuffle copies into your deck and return to your hand it was impossible to lose when you got him out
Frostlich Jaina was always my favourite legendary card. And I still got her in my collection.
My personal favorite is Uther of the Ebon Blade. Successfully pulling off the beardo+thaurissan combo is always so satisfying.
might not be the most powerful, but my favorite is Whizbang the Wonderful. It really made the game a lot better and more fun to play for me, being able to play the same "deck" and always be able to have a different (sometimes) kinda viable deck to play with

Deathstalker rexxar was good af, infinite value for aggro/midrange deck if u dont kill opponent turn 7 was insane.
Back in knights of the frozen throne, i had the stupid elemental jade rogue deck.
Play val the hollow, play a shit ton of Servant of Kalimos to discover more Servants or Jade Spirit. And just spread all the jade cards across val the hollows copy.

I have not played with Sathrovarr for almost 2 years and I dont think it’s the best legendary but it used to be my favorite legendary.

I think Frost Lich Jaina was more powerful and stable than Malfurion and Rexxar.
When I started playing HS in 2015 everybody seemed to agree that one of the most powerful legendaries in the game was Tirion and I'm surprised that it never even gets an honorable mention :/
No love for Kel Thuzad, ragnaros or sylvanas is wild
The card came to my mind first wasnt even mentioned; I would go with the Paladin legendary that turned every minion to a 3/3
Tarim! One of my personal favorites
Went through my collection to disenchant some old cards a few hours ago and saw tarim. He will never see play again in wild but i kept him for the memories
I do expect Kazakusan being in this list
I had a shaman galakrond deck I used to use to where before completing my quest I would use galakrond so then I would be galakrond but with the double battlecry hero power so when I drew kronx I could double his affect then put him in my hand and do it again
you are evil.. i love it :D
I hear what you're saying about death knight effects, but their hero powers are arguably the more important aspect of the card and rexxar had by far the best hero power, some of the beasts you could create were insane especially when paired with dire frenzy.

No love for rag and sylvanas? They used to be complete pains to deal with and dominated the meta.
Yeah, might have even worth it to add them!
Love this kind of videos, way more watchable than plain stands ladder gameplay. Keep it up !
OBVIOUSLY the best Death Knight hero-swaps were Scourgelord Garrosh and Thrall, Death-seer!
Poor thrall was at least used in tempo evolve shaman. Garrosh was garbage it's entire existence D:
Millhouse manastorm is the strongest legendary in the game.
Great stats for the cost with a battlecry that makes *ALL OF YOUR* opponents *SPELLS COST 0 MANA!!*
This card is a 1 way ticket to value town.
I agree with all your choices if I had to pick one card that is the best of all time (the goat) it’s gotta be zephyrs
Brann is so powerful. And he just keeps getting better as more powerful battlecries get printed
I am addicted to these videosss
But dont burn yourself out b, stay hydrated
Gonna be a basic pick. But I gotta go with my main man, Gromosh Hellscream. With a damage buff deck, you can smoke ANYBODY in no time flat
I'm simple man.
I see Rarran's video and I click.
😊
I see you're a man of culture as well
You forgot to tell that they reverted yogg nerf
Played Yogg-Saron once which removed the rest of the board, and forced my Yogg-Saron to be controlled by the enemy
Did...did you not play during Knights of the Frozen Throne or something? Bloodreaver Gul'dan was more of a meme card than anything compared to the other death knights. Bloodreaver Gul'dan is amazing in Wild, actually
OG Rag was so fun
Singleton cards was cool. Î’d like to play à mode where you can play a 50 singleton cards deck like commander deck in magic
No mention to the turn 8 King? Ragnaros the firelord ?
I loved the soularium!
It feels like this us your 3rd "Best legendary cards in HS" video.
You forgot your dad
that makes you shudder
The best decks are the ones with millhouse manastorm. They give you nearly 💯% winratio to otk yourself.
millhouse would be 'usually' safe to play turn 1 or 2, because opponent isn't going to keep expensive spells in opening hand, but anytime after that it's suicidal
@@JamJestKesh It's also true. There are a lot of factors to take in mind when playing him
@@JamJestKesh A priest might keep smth like mass resurrect in their hand though
Xyrella with desperate prayer best defance combo
5 mana slyvanis was nuts. Pre nerf.
Imagine not putting Shudderwock
ZILLIAX is probably the BEST most BALANCED card ever created
I was anticipating what would you have to say about Shudderwock but then you didn't put it in the list :(
Rok'delar will always be my #1
Boom hero card is not really that good. The reason it was meta defining was the lack of other hero cards during that time. Guldan, Jaine and Anduin hero cards were much stronger
I always played hearthstone but kinda lost the interest. Been 2 years and I’m back and All because of this channel! In 1987 I hit a women with my car in Portugal and I got away with it
I feel like you missed Keleseth on here :)
suprised to not see barnes here
The love/hate Tickatus has :D
I completely forgot galakrond existed
dope list
Loatheb is still very good in wild
always has been always will
What about Brann tho?
I think it just shows how strong Loatheb is that he STILL sees play in wild after like almost 10 years. But best legendary ever has to be Zilliax for me.
Once tirion was the best 8 drop..lol
I have never understood how leeroy is a great legendary
Okay, so, Kronx is in this list, but the best wincon for control decks it is not?
control decks don't exist, what are you talking about
The day I quit Hearthstone was the day my opponent Yogged me and it threw three pyroblast at my face
Luna’s Pocket Galaxy?
Mysterious Challenger not even legendary but o my god where to start with this one
Zilliax of course too versitale
I'M IN CHARGE NOW
Where is my dear Shudderwock???
Thanks for saying I look fantastic
Everyone know that nat pagle is the most broken legendary of all time
