Hows your experience riding in Goregaon? Like is this good for malad-goregaon-borivali types...not necessary that tourer or adventure rides will be done..so is it okay to buy?
It is lightweight and you will not have problem riding this in traffic. Height is on taller side so that’s one caveat. 5ft8 or above won’t have much issue and anyway short riders are always more skillfull ones so it’s manageable. But in 2024, adv 250 is not value for money. Wait for next gen adv to come or you can check vstorm or Himalayan or triumph scarmbler.
@@not_so_novice Is their announcement regarding next gen 250 adv? I will be looking forward to LC4C engine quick shifter TFT display and some blue tooth functions.
@@stockwizard4609 I know. Seen those spy shots video. I was talking more on the ride aspect of bike. The suspension of current models are too stiff if you compare it with Himalayan so those changes can only be felt once we ride the new bikes.
I did hear similar problem from another subscriber but sadly I have never faced this issue of “tik tik” noise. Could this be tappet noise? Get you valves clearance adjusted.
In my recent Mahabaleshwar ride, I got 37 kmpl mileage. But I think 390X will give somewhere around 33 kmpl. But if one ride more cautiously then 250 adv gives around 39-40 kmpl too.
Hey, this bike on highway can give mileage beyond 38kmpl. With my riding style where I ride between 90-105 kmph, I get 37kmpl. In city I am getting close to 29-32 kmpl depending on traffic.
Suzukis suspension is good as compared to to ktm but overall, ktm service and reliability is more. In terms of refinement, I am sure Suzuki would be better but ktm again would be a fun bike to ride due to extra bhp . If you want a subtle machine with no nonsense then Suzuki and if you want some rush or run then ktm. Both are good tourers and mild off-roader.
@@not_so_novice one last thing which bike service cost would be more. Like i heard ktm 250 would cost me around 5k for servicing as compared to Suzuki it would be around 3k for paid service is this true 🤔
@kingzz1011 it costs me ~4k INR approximately for HALF YEARLY maintenance. Last when I had changed clutch cable, brake pads, throttle clean and common service, it went up to 5.2k. I still feel Suzuki will be cheaper but ktm is not that expensive either.
It costs around 4.1k for ktm 250 adv service. Last to last, when I had serviced my bike along with changes of clutch cable, brake pads and throttle body cleaning, cost went up to 5.2k. But cost doesn’t vary that much between different brands. 1-1.5k should be the difference.

Not yet for next gen 250 adv. Only 390 adv has been spied.
@@not_so_novice Yeah lets wait..because in naked segment changes have been made in duke 250. Waiting when will they announce for ADV 250
I think LC4C engine has solved the vibration part..waiting for LC4C Engine in ADV models of KTM

Yes you just mentioned in vid at 5:36 about LC4C engine...sorry
Yess… I hope new adv makes sense now.
What is the service interval for KTM 250?
The ktm app recommends to do service in 4 months. I did my last service in April and now after August, it is showing it as over due.
@@not_so_novice I have heard that service interval is 7500 km
Is it true?
That’s true. But I mostly follow the month criteria instead of Kilometers.
@@not_so_novice ok thanks brother
You’re welcome.
Milage??
Mileage on highway is 34 kmpl and in city it is 29 kmpl.
hey do you get any ticking noise?
From engine? I get vibrations from windshield and rattling noise from both number plates(which is fixable).

KTM 390 X or Dominar 400. But to get an off-road capability, ktm 390 x is ahead. Dominar 400 is amazing tourer.
