I remember the first guitar I purchased that had a Floyd. I was so excited. Didn't know anything about a Floyd except I wanted to do what Dimebag was doing. Dropped down a couple tunings and saw the whole thing start coming up like that about made me shit myself lol. Gotta love a Floyd though!

Whats up Rob? Is that an LTD Deluxe guitar with a ESP truss rod cover? I just got a ESP LTD MH1001NT with the 85/81 emg Metalworks pickup set that was a demo from Sweetwater man this thing is a beast and it has moved to number 1 in my electrics and I have 7.......For their 1000 dollar range guitars hands down its just a kick ass guitar. I paid 875 for it and I love it just feels so good in my hands. Lol you look liked a mad scientist bro. Did u fix that bridge after all. Lol
Yes it is! And I never would have really thought about it, but after you mentioned it, I looked at a few of my M1000's, and some of them have that ESP truss cover and some don't! Strange! Congrats on your MH1001! Those are sweet! And yes, I fixed the bridge haha

I dropped my Dean Deceiver to Drop B and I was looking at some pics off the net to show what its supposed to read why does Fender have Drop B read like this B Gb B E Ab Db.....Then on another pic it read B F# B E G# C# .....I also noticed in your video of how to get the perfect float the tape you have taped on your toolbox lid.....is one chromatic and guitar tuning and why the heck the different icons.....set me straight brudda on this confusion
Oh B Gb B E Ab Db and B F# B E G# C# are the same.
A Gb and an F# are the same note. Just like a Ab is the same as a G#, and Db is the same as a C#. It just depends one whether you're moving up or down in pitch.

I've always done drop tunings on my hard tail guitars and standard down tunings on my Floyd's where I get a perfect float every time. Is it any difference getting drop tunings to float? Like drop C on a Floyd instead of D standard? I'm guessing just adjust the springs accordingly?
Yes I think drop tunings require a little more adjustment than a straight detuning, because with drop, you're not detuning all the strings evenly. The sixth string is detuned more than the other five strings.

I recently bought a kh2 and let me scare you by telling you that you CANNOT turn the screws in any further in the back. There is just enough tension but it makes me believe this is more a quality control issue. Have you ever encountered this before?

Just gonna throw this out here. Which of these tools will I need to get rid of clicking at the locking nut on a Floyd Rose equipped guitar? Every time you go from up to down or vice versa it pops. I can't fix it. I've removed the clamps and snugged the mounting screws but it's still doing it. Brand new guitar, Kramer Assault 220. TIA 😊
Hey Tony- trying to figure out exactly what you're trying to describe... When you say, "Every time you go from up to down or vice versa it pops.", do you mean when you tighten or loosen one of the nut screws?
@@RobArnoldWorld I replied earlier but guess it got lost somewhere. I mean when I pull up or push down on the bar there's a loud pop at the nut. I tightened the mounting screws in the nut and that didn't help. The nut appears to set in the neck just fine. I'm undecided on whether to take it apart or just return it. If I'd bought it used I wouldn't hesitate.

Unfortunately I think that's something I'd have to hear and see for myself to get any idea of what could be going on. Does the guitar stay in tune after using the bar and hearing that noise?
I've got a question...
I f*kde up my floyd 1000-series blocks because I applied toooo much force.
That happend already years ago - but I was still able to exchange strings. In the end the blocks didnt move anymore.
I could not get the blocks out - so I switched the "things the blocks are in" (stringholder...?)
The article description of the new ones named them "fitting to a series 1000"
But they are different than the old ones.
Now the strings are quite too high over the fret board.
Not sure now what to do...
Adjusting neck rod?
Using screws of floyd to get it deeper in the body?

Ahh, those little blocks are called "saddle blocks", and they reside in the "saddles".
If you switch out your saddles, and don't know exactly what you're doing, then you'll most likely run into a situation like you're having. And that's because not all the saddles are the same. They're string specific, because each one of them is a slightly different height to give your strings the proper curve or radius over your fretboard. The best thing to do would be to take your guitar to a professional, explain exactly what happened, and then have him set it up properly.
Or, because you don't know which saddle is which at this point, it may be best to just order an entirely new bridge, that will arrive with the proper saddles in the proper place. Both options may be a bit pricey, but the first option should cost less, and will get you the best results.
I don't think either solution you mentioned will help the problem. Good luck!

Update: Back from the professional. Now all is good. My mistake was that i installed the new saddles in the wrong order. I never heared that they need to make an arch. So the outermost have 1 dot as marking, then 2 dots and the 3rd and 4th string have a 3 dot marking. I just installed them without paying attention...
