@@RJCLAYBTS of course! I just got the pocket 3 & it's been fun learning the basics. In addition to vlogging, I'm planning to use it as a main camera. You think it's possible to do?
Great review. Most people run to Best Buy and make a review that's 100% negative and compare the specs to something that doesn't exist then they return it. They'll get an action camera GoPro and walk with this while comparing it to skydiving. Love your channel and keep the uploads rolling..
Appreciate you for checking it out and letting me know how I did! I definitely agree with that though.. wanted to present things in a different light. Again thanks for your time and support 🫡
See it’s people like you that make this so worth it 😭 those who pay attention and appreciate the small details and extra effort! Thanks so much for the encouragement 🙏🏾
"Honestly, if I want that much control, I'll use my CAMERA camera." I think I'm going to take that advice and follow what my testing shows. If you manually control shutter, the results are a little weird so I think I'll stick to using an ND when necessary and start with the correct shutter but leave it in auto at either a -0.3 or - 0.7.
Haha facts! The manual can workout alright if you’re getting a stationary shot of something or if you have well control over your lighting. But it can be a pain pretty often!
Totally agree. The Pocket 3 is a great camera but it is not perfect. I think the biggest problem is that some people expect it to do EVERYTHING. Those people are bound to be disappointed by it.
New sub here !Great video. I love this camera and have also made a video showing its down points when making metal detecting videos in the UK. Firstly - No voice control. Secondly - When using the Mics there is a large label that hangs on the screen, telling you the mics are connected. Come in DJI, you guys are so close.
You’re awesome man! Appreciate you a ton for taking the time! I’ll be sure to check yours out as well. The voice control would definitely be pretty dope. I will say with the label though there was an update that allowed that to change! I only see it for a few seconds now instead of staying up for so long like before 🙌🏾
Great videos on this camera! you actually CAN get audio with the slow mo videos, you just need to set up the auto back up when using the DJI mic 2 and it should still generate a file on the mic itself for the slow mo video. Then you just got to line it up in the editor.
The case - I don't even know where mine is now! I went to a local store and spent $3 on a dual compartment child's pencil case. Does the job fine. Stability - well, you can screw on a desk tripod on the bottom and some of them are quite heavy. But of course then it won't fit in your pocket. D-log and manual unfortunately disables the rather handy trick that the camera does in full auto, namely it exposes for your face if you are a bit back-lit. In other modes your face can sometimes appear under-exposed. Sunnylife do a great little clamshell case to protect the screen and gimbal if you want to improve protection - when not in use of course. The odd thing about how far the gimbal rotates is that the available angle is less in total than previous models - so there must be a good reason! Users should be aware that it rotates more in one direction than the other. You can use that to do this trick - point the camera at the scene of interest. Hold down the joystick to lock the gimbal position (biggest negative about this camera is that you can't hold that lock without pressing the joystick all the time!). Now walk anticlockwise round the camera and it will continue to point at the scene as you appear to walk into the picture, almost like it was on a tripod. Anyway, thanks for the video and the bubba is so cute!
This little camera is a Beast when traveling, and paired with Dji minis. Packing is a breeze. And, quality is pretty good, even for intermediate levels, and some pro level shooting! Just saying!
Great video! I'm using the pocket 2 (😭) ... It's okay. The best protection for the pocket-system: "Scotty makes stuff" from Australia. Well designed cases, fair priced... Take a look!
I checked the website and theyre loaded with stuff wow! You can really rig out the Osmo pocket more than I though 😯😮💨 also thanks for checkin out the vid!
I have a question! Okay so I record vertical on my OP3 for TikTok but just like you said in the video, the quality doesn’t translate on their app.. but I’ve noticed that other people their quality does translate. Do you think I’m doing something wrong in post? Also, great video! 🫶🏼
So I have 2 pieces of advice that might help- a lot of people claim downscaling the video yourself from 3/4k to 1080p in post is better than letting the app compress it because it will look worse. Another thing is to make sure you have your TikTok settings to upload at the highest quality. On the final editing screen, before you post your TikTok, click “More options”. From there, turn on “Allow high-quality uploads
The hard stops on the gimbal movements killlls me. They couldn't code a little curve into the edge of of the movement? nope! BAM. Hard start or stop only.
Yeahhh idk if you tried it already but I turned my gimbal speed down because of that. I changed keep it between 1-2 only because the faster gimbal speeds were definitely giving me that issue. I couldn’t stand it!
Hey man, my name is Johnny and I'm a freelance logo designer, currently I'm looking for more works, do you love to have a logo for your channel's branding to have a memorable graphic based monogram logo to help your audience recognise and follow your channel easier? I would love to design a techie themed logo inspired by your direction for you! Let me know if you interested to make it happen! 🙂

Perfect conclusion right there! I love the camera, but basically see it as a jack of all trades yet a master of none lol
