I’m on day 3 and I feel tired , and really want a beer ! I want to stretch all the time! Especially when I go to stand up.

Im having that exact experience with stretching after just one day with it. I don't see that symptom on the medication warning however. weird

If you have any effects.. I highly recommend taking it at night before bed instead of the morning. Works for me

I've been taking naltrexone for 2-3 years now and it's given me complete control of my life back. I can't imagine my life without it. When I run out of my medication I relapse and jeopardise everything I've achieved in my life.
Gym, naltrexone daily +support group = win

Thank you for your comment. Heavy drinker here started naltrexone 50mg a week ago and only messed up and drank hard once and didn't get the normal euphoric kick that I always get from binge drinking and did in fact stop halfway from where I normally would just keep going which in itself is a win. This is clearly much better than the drinking a bottle of whiskey every other night I have been doing. Do you have any advice or recommendation for someone that is impressed by how the naltrexone worked but still very uncertain with what the future holds and what to expect? When you say you have been benefiting from Naltrexone for years and it changed your life, what does that look like and how much do you still take on a daily basis?

I still take Naltrexone 50mg daily. Unfortunately I would say I'm kind of dependant however, my life is now incredibly satisfying.
We are imperfect and flawed, and i accept that. I just try to be better each day in all aspects of my life. With maltrexone and the following changes ive made to my life I managed to buy house, complete my studies, hold down a job and slowly stop isolating myself from friends and the rest of the world.
Things I do to stay sober.
      1. Attend drug and alcohol counselling (AA isn't for me)
      2. Take naltrexone
      3. Call a family member whenever alcohol comes into my mind and discuss the emotional triggers preceding those thoughts
      4. Limited access to my finances
      5. Exercise daily.. this is the biggest contributing factor for myself. Self confidence, health, discipline
      6. Cut off bad influences.
Lastly, I drank last night... first time in 3 months. I didn't get the kick either as you said.. it just confirmed to me that naltrexone is working and gives me the confidence to keep moving forward.
I know everyone says this and I'm learning myself. Go easy on yourself, accept responsibility but also a pat on the back for accepting help.
