    Always good to know or be refreshed.. as to what can be achieved by using logical switches on most transmitters available today. Interesting... Well done.

    WOW...my head is spinning !
    Bloody Complex !!!

      Yep - as complex or as simple as you want it to be. There's no need to use them of course, but you can get a lot out of them if you want

    Another great tutorial Wayne! And a little addition with regards to the servo sweep. If you're using a separate channel all you need to do is assign either of your LO switches to the Source and set Multiplex to either Add or Replace and you're good to go.

      That's cool - there's always multiple ways to do something in OpenTX isn't there :) I think this comes back to a general habit of using MAX as the source if I wanted switches to override another channel with an offset

    Nice. I like the one that you did with the servo... almost like a windscreen wiper 😎.

      No problem. If there's something else in OpenTX that is causing you headaches, let me know as I'm not sure what I'll be doing in the series next

    Thank you 😊 I can't see me using it for quads, but for a plane with landing gear, you can do a switched flaperon mix to trigger on gear down for instance, which could be really useful 😁 or for mode switching for something translational like a v22 or other tilt rotor.

    It's all very interesting, I just need to think of a way to use this new knowledge now

      If you aren't' careful it can be a case of looking for something for it to fit. It's easier to think of it as a tool you can have to solve a problem - but if you don't have a problem to solve, don't make one :D

    Nice video, thanks for posting. I searched on TH-cam all day long but I was not able to find a tutorial on how to read out the value of the S2 knob... That said, I have my gains for the S6R set on the S2 knob and would like to look at the plane, and not on my screen, while turning the knob. So it would help if my TX16s would read out the value for me. Any ideas!? Thanks.

      Yeah - so you should be able to get something for this. So a start point is to go to the special functions, and I made the first column a momentary button, the second column "Play Val" and the 3rd column S2, so whenever you press that momentary switch, you'll get a read out from -100 to 100

      @@CurryKitten Hi. Thanks for the reply. I figured a way to do it but I have to flip a switch first to hear the value. I was hoping to not have to flip the switch... Just hear the value by turning the knob. Thanks.

    Would like to use any of the rs/ls sliders to adjust gain on a gyro/stabi continously during flight.
    How to program this within which menu on OTX? 🤔

    • @CurryKitten
      @CurryKitten  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'd do this the same way you would any switch really, in the MIXES page, go to the channel you want to use, edit it. Set the source to your slider... and that it. You might want to do something to activate/deactivate the sliders usage, but the basic setup is very easy.

    For long range I would like to have 2 switches needed to disarm. I realize this might be a little unsafe, but I have crashed 3 times with accidental disarms. How might I do this on Open TX?

    • @CurryKitten
      @CurryKitten  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually there isn't a seperate arm and disarm switch, they are on a single switch. Lots of ways of thinking about this, but perhaps the easiest way is to set you arming on a logical switch which uses the OR operating with two physical switches to be active. This means that if either of the physical switches (or both) are on, then then the model is armed, but both switches have to be off in order to disarm.

    Hi, great series of video tutorials. I have the jumper t12 pro and can’t get lua scripts to load on the radio, all I get is ‘downloading tables’ stuck on the screen. Any ideas please 😉

    • @CurryKitten
      @CurryKitten  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I haven't really tried many LUAs on it, which one are you trying to use and I'll have a look

    Hey bud. Question for you. Everytime I turn on my radio it reads out that Failsafe is Off. Quad is Disarmed and it tells me what flight mode it’s in. How can I have the radio not call out these values?

    • @CurryKitten
      @CurryKitten  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm away, so I can't check this. It's probably in the main settings menu - which is where you can disable some alarms. I'd always set a failsafe though - just set it to "no pulses" and Betaflight will detect that.

    • @robgluckman7943
      @robgluckman7943 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CurryKitten yea. Everytime I turn radio on it’s just letting me know what the switches are currently set at. Just trying to turn that off. Also when I first plug in a battery it plays a value and tells me the voltage. I want to turn that off too. I have a logical switch that plays voltage below 22.0 volts. No idea why it tells me the current voltage when I first plug battery in.
