- Happy is Bekah’s 10 month old Missouri Foxtrotter filly. Happy was born on our farm April 28th 2023. Rebekah aka Bekah, was there when Happy was born and helped deliver her. They have had a special bond since the day Happy was born. You can watch that video here • HORSE BIRTH + Baby Hor...
Happy was a bit of an accident lol. Her mama, Ozark and our stallion Bob got out together and before we knew it Happy was born!!! An accident, but obviously meant to be. Bekah and Happy played together A LOT when Happy was a little foal. But she is growing up and it’s time to learn a few manners! She has gotten a bit, spoiled🫣 So in this vide Bekah brings Happy into the round pen to begin training. Foal training and training a grown horse are bit different. You can overwhelm a foal much quicker then a grown horse, as their attention span is much shorter. All Bekah asks of Happy in this training session is for her “attention”. Bekah attempts to keep Happys attention on her at all times, much more difficult then it may sound!

The video of Happy's birth is how I found your channel and have been hooked on it ever since. I love watching the bond between Bekah and both her girls. Come April/May time frame my little rescue horse from the kill pen will have a foal... Stud broke into my pasture from the neighbor's place. Lark will be 6 on May 9th.

Well, when a cow at Pitterpat Junction has an accident, they call it "Miss Steak", if the calf is a boy, it's named "Sir Loin".
I LOVE horses. They are good emotional support animals when we struggle. I live in upper IL and wish I knew someone where I can take my boys and just spend time with horses and love on them, do free work as a thank you and just enjoy having the opportunity. I envy you all. It seems like a great relaxed place.

I watched Happy's birth last year, but didn't know Ozark was overanxious before Becka joined her in the pen. I may have seen Happy stand, but did not realize that it was so unusual for her to start running so soon after birth. It was sweet seeing Happy and Becka working together today. Becka's personality really sparkled during today's video.

I have a colt that was born May 10th 2023. His name was supposed to be Yoohoo but we have called him little bubba so long that is what he responds to lol. He is a tad more hyper than Happy is! Would love more lesson videos with Happy!

I watched that video when Ozark was in labor and had Happy. Poor girl was scared and wanted someone she loved and trusted to be there with her. First time mom and you have no idea how things are going to go and you want someone there to be with you. Totally normal. When Becca came, it was the comfort she needed. Super heartwarming! And the baby LOVE'S Becca too, because she's heard her voice and felt mama's love emotions from in the womb.Some may think it is silly, but babies are certainly able to hear and pick up on thier mothers feelings and emotions before they are born.No matter human or animal. Compare the personality of Happy to Magnolia, night and day. Poor Magnolia had to learn that her caregivers were there to love and care for her. Happy was born knowing. . . my personal thoughts of course. Great video!
Just a suggestion that I have learned from a bird trainer, you might want to apply pressure on her chin to draw attention to you when she loses focus. Being poked at or someone holding your ears is annoying to even a human. Just a suggestion that how I trained my bird and I found they lose less focus and will bite less. I enjoyed the video.❤️

Im a female basketball offical in Michigan. Im so happy Bekah plays!! It's been a busy year in Michigan because of a ref shortage, so I hope Bekah considers reffing post graduation. I mentor a few young refs. The experienced refs protect the younger refs from an crazy coaches/players! So it's not as hard as many young adults fear!!
I strongly suggest you watch Ryan Rose here. He teaches u to get into the horses mind and how to read and teach. I never him saw doing the ear or the poking the ribs. He uses flags and simple ropes and lets the horse compute what is expected also the patients n time for them to figure it out.
Ear grabbing is one of the more extreme ways to control a beast.
