Brockwood Park 1980 - Question #5 from Question and Answer Meeting #1
'Is suffering necessary to make us face the necessity to change?'
This channel is managed by the Krishnamurti Foundation Trust, UK, and by the Krishnamurti Foundation of America.
The role of the foundations was described by Krishnamurti when he said, 'The foundations will see to it that these teachings are kept whole, are not distorted, are not made corrupt. They will not give rise to any sectarian spirit in their activities... nor create any kind of place of worship around the teachings or the person.'
We maintain extensive archives of Krishnamurti's original works and all four Krishnamurti foundations are actively engaged in the publication of material in various forms.
Our videos contain thousands of subtitles in more than 25 languages, translated by volunteers from all over the world. If you would like to help us with translating subtitles, please contact us at digital@kfoundation.org

If I want to summarise J K Sir's teachings in two words, that is "complete attention". I have seen many videos of him, all the tym he has strongly emphasised this two words, which has very deep meaning. Thankyou sir every time I see yr video there is a new lesson to me. And more and more I m been attentive. All suffering, insult ends as. J K sir says. Thankyou very much to the missionary 🙏

Could anyone explain what does complete attention mean ? How to be completely attentive

    • @virtualetude
      @virtualetude 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

@@chetansn6030 In complete attention you see things exactly as they are without thoughts, ideas, and past experiences interfering. You are so attentive that nothing else about what you think it is matters. In this case, the past and future disappears. The question is how to do you become completely attentive. This question itself prevents you from being completely attentive. This is major clue to look at who is asking that question because it is THAT which prevents you from complete attention. That which prevents is the accumulation of thoughts - start by emptying the mind of all you know. Then you’ll see clearly complete attention

Psyche Implosion leads to Explosion into Freedom and Truth, pathless land. All phenomenon are created by thoughts from separation of me against the world, a dualistic division. Sufferings and wars are magnified tsunami of this psyche separation from billions of egos eons accumulated. Repay our sage with complete attention in simple, truthful and energetic life. That's fearless love in this phenomenal life. Thanks K and friends.

It seems to me still, the 'me' at work.
But it shurely gives you an idea, how enormous the brain can do it's job, as long as you have attention for it.:)
When the attention fades, the movement fades to.
Like K has showed us, Attention is a part of Love. :-)

Yes. Psychedelics dissolve boundaries (as identifications and so on). Afterwards the experience may become a new image and then one lives through the past again, even though it might be a more colourful image. I had a sort of „awakening“ when in the early twenties due to magic mushrooms. K helped me to realise many mistakes I had made afterwards and which I still do. For kicking in the front door, what they sure did, I still call the mushroom a sacred and immensely powerful entity. But to go beyond experience is a completely different thing altogether. One Love ❤️🙏

Inattention causes suffering and registering. A “Complete attention” does not cause suffering and registering. It must be noted here that Krishnamurthi’s “Inattention” and “Attention” words have slightly different meaning than the normal meaning. “Attention” or by “Complete Attention” he actually trying to mean - you receive a thing without the judgement, processing, evaluating or resisting. This is spontaneous and purest level of experience (in this case suffering). For this to happen one must perfectly stay in present without any perturbance in mind. When one is perfectly in present, duality ceases. There is no experience or suffering. “Inattention” here refer to contrary of it where there is judgment, resistance and evaluation. This causes world of suffering and experience.

I wonder if the questioner was asking if suffering motivates people to find out what is required to end suffering or to find out if it is possible to end it. Some people have rather pleasant lives and may see no reason to go into the question of suffering as they have not yet experienced deep suffering.

your truth is in yourself becoming. you all human can invent his truth from his own brain knowledge. your truth always lives with your figure with you but you all search this truth in different religions, in different human mind made god, in pray and worship, in temple, church, masjid, gurudwara, by meditation. if your truth is with you then how you all can got this truth to other place. all true man always tell that truth is a pathless object because your truth always lives in your body. when you all will see your real truth in your same figure by only your brain knowledge then how much pleasure and joy you all have got. if you have make doctor, engineer, scientist, prime minister, president, minister, leader, dharm guru, etc from your own brain then you have feel so many pleasure, when you all will see and know that you all is truth and that truth is your god from your brain then how much pleasure you all have got. when you all will meet your truth then your death will be disappear from your own mind. here is no death because your real you is not body but he lives in your body. you all come with me and see your truth in your own body.

People who come to beat are also influenced by the desire to achieve power and position and we are also frightened of losing position and authority and are hurt when one makes us feel inferior .

It is a way to know weather the depth & meaning is getting through to the listener, & the depth is understood , people listen, , & thats all , taking it in & measuring the material up to what we our selves believe,in or understand , or have been conditioned to believe , or to rationalize it with the mind open ,Some people,it just go s over there heads, until the penny drops,One day early in the morning ,, then they have a realization that it really makes sense , then they become inspired to venture further for them selves , & so it gos .

He was definitely not cynical. His attitude is based on observation of what is, that means people around him arent get nothing of what he said. There was no one of them capable to bring the flame of attention in themselves. He was probably sad, not cause of psychological hurt, but cause of an actual insight into the lack of seriousness in people. He invites people in the conversation not by cynicism but with compassion, the compassion of an actually perceived tragedy, which is this deep ignorance and lack of attention and seriousness in man.
