When my husband quit his job after 25 years to start his own business I was supportive but cried out of worry for days. 11 years later our business failed and he is back to working for someone. I am so proud of him for going after his dreams. He will never wonder what could have happened. You & Josh will do great and will roll with whatever comes your way.
I love that your husband was willing to go back to being employee, I hear so many stories of men who get too caught up with the dream of entrepreneurship that they remain in a cycle that destroys the family
That’s scary to quit a job after 25 years. He did a brave thing. My dad did the same thing and I was young so I didn’t understand how scary that must have been for he and my mom. And now he’s passed and I can’t tell him. So tell your husband I think he’s brave. 😊
The older ours got we've made sure that one night a week is family night. We usually had tacos or pizzas (everyone's favorite) and then popcorn and a movie, sometimes we play games. It's SO good to have time for just us. And also, we've done a date night at home every week too. We make macncheese for the children and they go to their rooms and hour early and read books or play quietly with toys while we enjoy an uninterrupted meal and watch something or have a meaningful chat. So nice for "us" to not get lost in the shuffle.
I think you and Josh are a good example of what a partnership is. You are supposed to support each other and also discuss things and be there for the ups and downs. I know that you and Josh both have a good work ethic so I feel like this will succeed. Please feel free to share links in a way we can help Josh in this new venture. Also, the little baskets are super cute. I wanted to add a little edit on. You and Josh both are allowed to give each other grace because it is a big change for him and you and your family and there will be growing pains. But I think you both know what’s right for your family.
My friend and I went to visit the Ark and the Creation Museum last week. They were phenomenal! That's so exciting that Josh got to work on that project. WOW!
My husband was a pastor in Lancaster county up until December 2022. Our little church unfortunately didn't make it after the previous two years. Sadly my husband lost his job and he decided to go a different route and now is a chaplain at a prison five hours away from Lancaster. We definitely takked about it alot together. I love what you said about being a helpmate, so actually help. Im thankful my husband values my opinion, input, and perspective. It definitely helps our relationship stay strong. Great video :)
You inspired me to be more verbally supportive of my husband today, one thing that draws me & my sister to your videos is how transparent and genuine you are❤️ I want to be a mom like you, keep up God's work!
Excellent points you made on our role as a wife. I believe we have much to contribute as their help meet and yes that means our brains and intuition like you put it! Take care Megan ❤ I hope you stay encouraged as you filter through the comments . Not everyone will be understanding or kind, but stay strong as your heart seems to be to do the best you can as a mom and wife. Much love and prayers ~Sarah
Anti-fatigue floor mats would help Josh's back pain & ease the stress on your joints. I worked on my feet for decades when I was y'all's age & I'm paying for it now. Give the mats a try. I promise, your body will thank you in the future! God bless!!!
This was one of your best videos about your family dynamics (and fills in some gaps from a previous one about Josh's job change) and life in beautiful Lancaster County. I think it's one many of us will watch more than once, admiring all you are able to accomplish in a single day. Although, as a mother of 5, I do half-remember some days that were just a blur of activity and getting stuff done!
I'd been missing getting to see Evonnie since she's been in school. She's a great helper in the kitchen. You and josh have beautiful babies. I can't wait to see the patio. Great video Megan.
Hi I don’t know if you will read this comment with all you get, but, here goes. I love your vlog! Sharing your family with a stranger like me is awesome. I feel like I’m apart of your life. You are a great Mom, wife and daughter to your family and wish more people could learn from you and the way you balance your life! I never want your vlogs to end and look forward to the next one. I live in New England and wish I lived closer to visit your area of the world. Keep up the great vlogs!!!!
I love what you said about wives supporting, but also being participants and partners with, their husbands. Evonnie is growing fast and she's so smart!
Back ache & cooking unfortunately go hand in hand 🤦♀️,it isn't good though I have to say..Still a nice hot soak in the tub does wonders 😊. Looked like you have a beautiful few days. Have a fab weekend.
@@janeevans4758Thanks for reminding me of a good hot soak in the tub. I have a jacuzzi tub, but I haven’t soaked in it for a long, long time. My back has been painful lately from heaving digging and rototilling in the garden. I am overdue for a hot bath!
What an insight into the loneliness men might feel as heads of the household especially at times of uncertainty and change - offering a place of refuge and partnership to them. I also loved what Josh said about sharing in one’s work - so much of it is all about having someone to share in this life together ❤ PS - I love that I’m not the only one that runs around with her kids playing all the games 😂 Exhausting but so fun
Great video ! I could tell you were holding back in the car to let your husband talk about his job and finish what he was saying without interrupting and taking over. Nice to see you listened to your viewers from the last video ! Looks like you all had some fun family time 😍
Definitely understand the uncertainty of a husband starting something new.. in the same boat right now. Praying for peace and blessings! Love your channel!
I'm glad you're not afraid to use your brain and influence in your marriage partnership and that you encourage other women to do the same. I'm blessed to have a husband who values my input as well.
Ok. Yes. My husband discusses things with me too. That’s how a marriage should work. But the thing that got me was when you kept saying “I hope it will work”. You said that several times. No, I don’t know your lives. But I know mine. After we’ve prayed & made the decision, then it’s up to me to support whatever decision we have made. Anyways. Just had to say that. Nice video. God bless.
Loved this video…Evonnie is such a little homemaker. She’s going to be a wonderful mom someday. She loves learning to cook and she is just so grown up in so many ways, I enjoy watching all your children, you and Josh are fantastic parents, it shows!
I think stepping out of comfort zone is a hard decision but it's so good to challenge yourself in order to grow and to explore different options. You never know what you would be so successful at or end up being your future career, until you have tried it. Well done guys. So wonderful to hear that Josh got to work on the Ark building project. I live in Australia but one day hope to visit the US especially Pennysylvania. Miller with the kitten was just adorable. Enjoy summer. God bless. 😍

your comment about the mansion on the hill made me remember how my kids used to love the hymn "I've got a mansion, just over the hilltop..." really enjoyed the variety of this vlog. That is so cool you guys helped build the ark!! I haven't been there yet but it's my plan to go visit for my birthday in 2024. We live in Upstate NY., so it's quite the drive.
My husband was in ministry and then after prayer and confirmation from the lord he joined the military. I knew it was God’s plan for our life as a family but is was hard. Having a God at the center makes changes in life have the presence of peace even when it’s a big change.
Your family is so sweet. Is the other little boy who is in the videos once in a while yours or a family members? I see your daughter and the baby all the time. Good country living.
Didn't you once say something about your "muscle fix" or "eye candy" or something. Donuts don't make muscles, he'll have to build some heavy lifting in there. But it seems like a brilliant idea overall! You really should take a trip to Friesland sometime and try the fritters from a truck in Workum. Just down the road from Witmarsum where Menno Simon preached.
How do you kill a blackberry bush (or bramble as we call them in Scotland)?! Here they are so prolific in the wild and very invasive if you let them into your garden - they spread so easily and are the first thing to appear after the Winter. Very thorny too!
@@cynthiafisher9907 we have that here too - tho as you say, it can take an awful lot to kill them! The wild ones are good for bramble picking tho - many people in Scotland enjoy that in the Autumn , a free harvest! Maybe Megan's are the more domesticated 'thornless' one - probably not as hardy, or maybe she meant blackcurrants?
@@sallyannc3176 I don’t know which variety she has. I have thornless blackberries as well as boysenberries and a few wild blackberries I try to kill every year. The thornless blackberries are pretty hardy as well, they root very deeply.
Well, blackberries are supposed to be kept to one stalk every year. There will be two, one for this year's production that will be dark green or even brown and the bright green one for next year, cut all the other stalks out. Every year, cut the cane out that produced and the process will repeat year after year. *Still watching*

That is so cool you guys helped build the ark!! I haven't been there yet but it's my plan to go visit for my birthday in 2024. We live in Upstate NY., so it's quite the drive.
I just loved this video! I also grew up with those cupcakes😅 You're an inspiration, Megan! Thanks for sharing this little sneak peek into your life😁
So excited for this one! This is my fav kinda video❤️ thanks Megan!
I'm excited to learn about this donut place. I don't live terribly far from the Tennessee donut location and I'm so excited to try it!
You should check it out! But not too often!! ;)
My husband was in ministry and then after prayer and confirmation from the lord he joined the military. I knew it was God’s plan for our life as a family but is was hard. Having a God at the center makes changes in life have the presence of peace even when it’s a big change.
I’m so excited to see the patio project 👏
Your videos are literally my safe space. You're all so amazing 🫶🏻
This was 1 of your best videos 😊. Loved all of it....
You seem particularly happy in this blog!
😊 I felt the balance of supporting each other was restored and loved loved loved so many things in this video😊
Your family is so sweet. Is the other little boy who is in the videos once in a while yours or a family members? I see your daughter and the baby all the time. Good country living.
Getting beef from friends or families is great. Meat last for many years in the freezer. Love this video.
Mmmm I’ve always known those cupcakes as black bottoms and they’re the best!
Love, love, love this video! Great job Megan❤️
My cousin and I do bus trips. We cone to Lancaster at least 1 tike a year. So, I am excited to bring them to September Farm.
First! Hi Megan, Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
So glad you're here!!
Very excited to watch this video Megan! Have a great weekend 😊
Could you share where you bought your jean skirt?! It's super cute😊
Megan💖 I lit your sunny haze candle and it smells amazing!!! Love your channel can’t wait to watch and finally relax!💖🙏💖
That's my favorite scent this round!! Glad you love it!
Looks good if I lived near Lancaster I'd be there every week for donuts and pretzels our favorites 😋
How do you kill a blackberry bush (or bramble as we call them in Scotland)?! Here they are so prolific in the wild and very invasive if you let them into your garden - they spread so easily and are the first thing to appear after the Winter. Very thorny too!
There is a product in the US that is specifically for killing blackberry vines. They are hard to kill even with that, though.
That makes sense. We inherited them with the property and they were pretty neglected. Every year I think oh this year is the last. But maybe not . . .
Thanks for your knowledge!
@@MeganFoxUnlocked you betcha!
We plan on going to the ark soon as a weekend event! That's amazing!
Hey, hey, it's a new day! 😄
Praise the Lord!
