    Ok. So, 4 pin connector should be used for blink-code diagnosys procedure. I tried it on my '92 164, but got nothing) Brown panel for "relay" actually is not for relay, it's S30 switch (you shoul have yellow/red or, i beleave, blue "relay" - which are actually not relays, instead of relay's insides they only have connection between 2 legs, wchich allows you to choose defferent map sets in motronic 4.1. to use or not to use o2 sensor and which octane are you using. Best settings for the cat without o2 sensor and for highest available octan = no "relays", exact like in your case)

      for 2 pin connector - who knows, we dont have that in 164. 3 pin for comp dignostic with fiat 3pin -> OBD2 + OBD2->usb + multiecuscan/other

      Hello. That is simply the best explanation that I've seen about those connections! Thank you so very much for taking your time!
      And thanks for watching the video!

      A littel update for 2 pin connector: in 3l versions 164 it allows switching between auto/manual tranny types. On other cars it has different usage: found on alfabb: pin11 -- 75: 1.6IE/1.8IE select: 1.6 / 1.8
      TS select: alfa 75 (n.c.)/ alfa 164 (gnd)
      V6 select: auto (n.c.) / manual (gnd)
      In that case one of the pins should go to the ground, and other to pin 11 of motronic 4.1.
      Just check it if you interested.
      in 33 it could also provide switching between 2 different present at factory. I never had 33s and dont know which )
      Actually it was very usefull for me, i coul have 2 different custom maps (lean and reach for cruise/sport) and switch between them with simple tumbler switch. Huge natrium exaust valves allowed me to use lean Lpg mixtures w/o fear).

      @melnikov79 wow! That is golden information! And very ingenious of them to do it like that! One control unit fits all type of thinking and then the shunts do the rest. Marvelous

      I have a 1994 1.5 IE and it only has the 3 pin connector (T1) for Alfa tester and MP3.1 switching connector that chooses between 1.5 and 1.7 engine maps.

    Excellent modification on the handbrake cable holder bracket, it is definitely something I would attempt, mine is so springy no matter how much it was adjusted.
    Great stuff 👍

    Really enjoy your videos and you explain the processes very well. l currently have two 156's, 1 auto with a seized motor and 1 manual with an excellent motor but with a written off body. So l am now swapping over the the motor and gearbox to the auto 156. Greatings from Melbourne, Australia.

    I have maybe the workshop ecu testing unit you talk about. I never used it, but I have had it since the 1990s. 😅
    I loved this video very much. It will help me in my work in restoring a Alfasud QO 1983.

    30:40 So those two side panels are kept fixed to the center/vertical panel aren't they? Mine are separated, should have those two glued then.
    I have asked you about this AC control panel fitment and I am truly grateful you took time to demonstrate on your video, thank you so much. This is perhaps the only video on internet which has so many details on the 33's interior bits.

      @@alfaromeonoproblem Oh, great! I just had the oil changed in mine, and additional 0.5L added through the top plug. The dealer used Petronas Tutela Transmission Matryx 75W-85 API GL-4, FIAT 9.55550-MZ1. Which I think is what it came from the factory with.

    Nice mod on that hand brake holder. You can make a few of them for sale. :D
    BTW, have you ever repaired the reflectors of the fog lights (or head lights)? On my 159, the reflector for the front fog lights has lost the chrome on the bottom. I am looking to have them rechromed, and I have found two places in my city where they claim that they do that (well at least one directly claims it). But I am not sure of the finished result.

      @alfaromeonoproblem  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello. Thanks for watching once again!
      These Alfa 33 hand brakes always drove me crazy! This I think is a cheap and good solution. But mass production I don't think so.. because every car can have a slight difference on the tunnel curvature and the modification must be done regarding that.
      About the reflective surface on the headlights, cannot tell yet. I will do that for the 33 and report on a future video
