    Thank you Denise, for reviewing the Hair Grip. I own two of them with the lace, I love it. I like buying products from a small business. I’m new to the wig world and I have a lot of wig grip, not able to find the right one, up until I found the Hair Grip. No more worries about my wig flying off my head.

    I think I might try one of these. I usually buy GEX from Amazon and I love them. My wigs don’t budge on top but what drives me nuts is that the wigs always feel like they want to creep up in the back, so I put one Bobby pin on each side and it feels more secure.

    Hey Denise-great information especially the band with the lace insert. Gotta tell you that the grip test looked like head banging at a rock conert.😂 Very convincing!

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I felt a little dizzy after, lol! I can't head bang like I used to, lol!! Seriously, though, the wig did not budget AT ALL! I would wear a wig on a roller coaster or spinny ride at an amusement park with this ANY DAY and not give it a second thought. I'm dead serious. We don't usually go to amusement parks but if we ever do I promise I will make a video and show it!!! Maybe I need to have my husband drive me somewhere on a high speed highway and stick my head out the window.... hmmmmmm.... really want to demonstrate so people are confident!

    She has some great ideas. I’d still prefer the label on the outside to prevent scalp irritation and she can make the label the same color as the grip.

    I always have problems with the wig grip slipping on the nape area because my head is flat & my fine hair is slippery. I've figured out that if I spray some hairspray on the areas that are slipping, it helps grip my hair better. (I cut my hair shorter & that seems to help a little too.) I absolutely LOVE that these come in sizes because I also have a very petite head. I ordered a small, which is actually perfect for my 21" circumference. I usually have to cut & resew the Milano grips in order for them to fit me better without that bulk in the extra length that i get in my fit. I also LOVE the added silicone strips. I wish there was some in the back of it too.

    Got mine in the mail, bought the lace one because of the silicone grip and OMG you were right this wig grip is AMAZING!!!! I measure at 21.75 and ordered the medium... It just barely fits so I would say if you're over 21.5 circumference I would recommend a large.

    I’d love you to look at a wig grip called Indigo Exchange. It’s the only one that actually works for me. It doesn’t slip and it has a strap at the back that is adjustable and it slims down so that it sits under my low ponytail with enough space under it. It’s eased that ‘band’ feeling I get from other wig grips.

It truly DOES seem to have so many extra-nice features that the others just don’t!👏🏻👏🏻And, believe it or not… just the other DAY, I thought to myself I reeeeally wished there was a way in which I could find a grip that was smaller around. One of my best friends hurt her shoulder and she ended up wearing one of my wigs for over a year while she sorted that out. Said it was a lifesaver for her. #2- these grips are great for holding on hats and bandanas, so they aren't only for wigs. Thank you so much for watching!

    My very first wig was from a brick and mortar…not a good experience at all! They sold me a wig that was too small and told me not to worry because it would stretch out. They also told me I would need a wig grip because before long I would need it. I was completely inexperienced with wigs at that time. Long story short…I bought another wig online that I did need the wig grip to secure it…it was a Milano. That grip stretched out over time to where it was useless! I’ll definitely try this brand. This Hair Grip with the double sided stitching is genius along with the silicone strip! I bought the Milano wig grip and to my great surprise and dismay, it will not stay on my head, it keeps riding up on the back of my head! How tight should a wig grip be on our heads, and how tight should a wig fit without a grip? I’m feeling so frustrated with my wigs lately because they’re not laying flat and constantly moving around, so much so, that I can’t style them with a clip or headband. This was really helpful and i will be checking these hair grips out. I would appreciate any feedback you may have regarding my “wiggly wigs” 😉

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi, Sylvia. A wig grip should be tight enough that it is secure, but not so tight you get a headache from it. How tight wigs should be really does depend on each person and the shape of their head. I don't like my wigs very tight at all, but to secure them when they are as loose as I like it I use It Stays on the front and that makes all the difference. For a lace front wig I find that a wig grip adds a little too much bulk for the wig to lay flat... at least on me. I know A LOT of women have no issue with it, though. I would be worth experimenting with a light adhesive like It Stays and see if that will solve your problem. Here is a video I did showing how to use it: th-cam.com/video/DcWQalk0fPI/w-d-xo.html

    Hi Denise! What’s the purpose for the lace and does the silicone strip attach to bio hair or the inside of the wig? Thank you!

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lace is there so you can't see the wig grip through a mono part or a mono top wig..... and the silicone strip goes on the inside. It doesn't do much if you have hair but it will help the wig grip be extra secure on someone with no bio hair.

    Hi Denise, I have just started my wig journey and spent several weeks online watching all the reviewers.. You have become my favorite. So natural, so relatable. Anyway, my question is about the silicone on the lace grip. It looks like it’s on the side of the bio hair. If so, is it sticky, or does it pull on the bio hair? I’ve never had silicone directly on my hair before. Thanks!

    • @heywigsister
      @heywigsister  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It doesn't pull my hair at all. I think it helps more if you don't have any hair at all, but it doesn't hurt if you do.

      They go toward the scalp. She make it easy by putting a label right on the grip telling you what direction to wear it. PS: no need to apologize, we were all new at this at one time and it can be really challenging in the beginning. It gets easier, I promise! 💗

    Does the wig grip make the wig feel feel more cumbersome?

      You know, it really used to and that is why I didn't use them for the first nearly 3 years of wig wearing.... now I use my wig grip from The Hair Grip every time I wear a wig and it doesn't bother me at all. I think it is probably a combination of this wig grip which really is better than the others I've tried, and the fact that I am so much more used to wearing wigs now. We are all so different, though. I actually never adhere my wigs anymore because of this wig grip.

      @@heywigsister thank you, I have not worn anything under my wigs. Just put it on. I wonder if it will make my wig feel too tight?
