And then the cacophonic shouting, as Melkor channelled lightning into wires to produce sound of the most abhorrent kind from an instrument of death and torture called a 'Guitar'. That one time he dived from the stage of the Timeless Halls, and had planted Balrogs there to catch him. It was a terrible chaos, an act of pure evil worthy only of a Dark Lord.
What I love most about CDP's original songs, is that they aren't just songs. The underlying poetry could be read without singing and it would still carry its own meaning, its own story, and still be of high quality. Thank you, CDP, for your talents both in storytelling and in music that you share with us.
I once read somewhere (in a work about historic literature) that many premodern civilizations didn't think of things as binary prose-song, but instead a continuum of normal talking, trough poetry spoken at a certain cadence and tales with music under them, up to songs without and with instruments. The author mentioned that in our age, rappers form part of this inbetween: spoken language set to music spoken in the right cadence. And in a way this fits there as well, even though it is very different.
That one dislike is from the envious Celebrimbor, not being able to match dwarfish awesomeness in the forge. Edit: it seems his Elf-kin have joined him, no matter, they shall never match the dwarfs, in the forge, or in war.

Came here expecting an epic of creation, of divine energies hammering the world into existence. Was greeted instead with the sounds of a dwarven crusade. I am in no way disappointed.

@@sodapopcowboy8620 check out "diggy diggy hole" and "To Erebor". Their ability to do a refrain is fantastic. Its essentially fantasy tavern music with dwarves, drums, pipes, guitars, and violins.
After looking up wind rose, no thanks. Meh at best. Clamavi de Profundis creates masterpieces and the other.. well is a metal band who is more of a joke or for looks and lyrics than beautifully orchestrated music.
@@marshalllaw4u epic Metal isnt for everyone. But fantasy metal is very popular. They don the same style of outfits youd expect a fantasy dwarf to wear for their music videos. Every album is incredibly well done if you like epic metal. Wheras a band like sabaton for example bases their albums off history (mostly ww1 and 2), Wind Rose makes dwarven themed metal. And the music is meant to be catchy and fun and metal. But their theme is still dwarven metal and if you add in the beauty of Clamavi de Profundis with it, youve got an awesome mix.

This has been a great past 3 days. First Alina Gingertail releases a cover, then yesterday Karliene releases a song, and MiracleofSound reeleased his level 11 album(with a new song), and now Clamavi De Profundis releases a song. All of them great.
THE DWARVES HAVE RETURNED! This has got to be my new favorite Clamavi de Profundis song, replacing the Battle of Finrod and Sauron, great work! I'm so glad I was on TH-cam when this was posted.
I like to imagine that, after the demon took over Hammerdeep, much of the land and infuence they had beyond the mountain withered away, allowing the Orcish Hordes to wax in power and ending the FIrst Age of the Dwarves. Not until Boic Bravesoul slew the demon, liberated his kin, and reformed the Kingdom would the Dwarves be able to rise up and drive the Hordes back, beginning the Second Age of the Dwarves. Great work, as always. :)
I imagine a grand, roaring speech that led to this, thundering through mountain halls with the clamor of sword on shield and steel-shod boot against stone, a hundred thousand dwarves screaming defiance against a great and terrible evil, fated to grind all creation beneath its heel lest the sons and daughters of the earth rise from beneath to banish it with dwarven might, and usher in a new age of peace and brotherhood.

If you could make a Warhammer Fantasy Dawi (The name for Dwarfs in that setting) based song that'd be amazing. A Slayer Song in particular would be mind-blowing if done well. Slayers are Dwarfs that have taken an oath to die in glorious battle, fighting only the most lethal of foes, be they Troll, Dragon or Daemon.

I used this song as the war chant of a Dwarf army charging out against a wave of enemies in my current D&Do campaign. Put a long fade in on the song, so the players first heard it like a whisper, then soon it became this thunderous cry of hundreds of Dwarves

No wonder their priorities often involve their homes, cause their homes took generations of dwarves to create.

“From the dawn of time we have stood here” brings such an image. You have to really think about what dwarves actually do, they hollow out entire mountains with nothing but teamwork and pickaxes. No wonder their priorities often involve their homes, cause their homes took generations of dwarves to create.
