- Today we talk about a website worse than Reddit , Tiktok and possibly 4chan . A website created from inspiration from the popular manga and anime Death Note .Dedicated to publishing posts about wishing for their husband to meet their unfortunate demise

Actually I think this website is was more inspired by Hell Girl a very underrated horror anime from 2005, about a website that lets you type in the name of someone you wish to send to Hell.
I was just thinking this. Unfortunatly as an almost anthology series hell girl isnt as well known.

the "shine" is likely not the english "Shine" (shining, bright) but the japanese "shi-ne" which is essentially a word for telling someone to die ("shi" being the kanji for "death")
also, dan-na means husband in japanese

The funny part is, the brain can also be used to do the exact opposite and used to actually help people. Ive seen charitable systems set up and "good deed" pages developed, but they are almost always taken advantage of by scammers. Plus these websites become more interesting as they are shocking, not normal, and strange.
This actually reminds me of an anime I JUST bought the full series of called...Jigoku Shoujo or Hell Girl.
From what I remember it's about the spirit of a girl named Ai Enma who runs a website where people can name someone they feel at least, ruins their life and makes it completely miserable.
The condition being that she will take them to Hell, but in return when you die your eternal soul will also be damned to Hell.
Would you give up your eternal happiness, if it meant you got a happier life, I guess is the question there.
Pretty good series from what I heard, but it's hard to find available.

I've heard about the Japanese website before, never looked at it, though, but a lot of Japanese women regret the men they married because they were either forced into it or couldn't find anyone else at that time. Most women are looked down upon when they stay single for too long. They are seen as "unworthy and something is wrong with them." Divorce is very looked down upon and very hard to get when there are either kids involved or when they live in rural area's. Things like these websites are not that weird there because they have a need to vent or need to get their frustration out. Most Japanese women feel so trapped in their marriage that writing it out is the only outlet they have. Now I'm not saying this is okay. Some of these women need serious help and need to get out of their marriage, but again, its almost impossible.
Sorry for the rant, but this might explain why people flock to sites like this, especially in Japan.

(At the Death Note website) Also, the same here in U.S. but not as terrible as Japan, but it costs money for a device and cost of lawyers. It's worse in abuse and cheating situations on top of a child and / or children. I should know because two of my three older brothers are in abusive relationships and both have children. One of them has an ex-wife who is cheating on him and we are all derivative and he wants a device but it costs money to get a lawyer and also you need evidence of it to get a how lot out of it. Real life is not easy for anyone and well some of us are worse than others. Remember that before passing judgement to people. But I also know there are truly evil people out there and keep an eye out but just keep in mind we are all struggling and not all truly evil.

Wouldnt be surprised. A large part of Asia is heavily dependent on honor and respect culture. It is hard for both men and women.
Men because of alimony, loss of respect in the society
Women because of loss of respect and trust and difficulty to form future partnerships
Marriage is considered to be a once in a lifetime activity here in most parts of Asia. For people from other parts of the world it may seem stupid and trivial but it is what it is.
However - due to this stigma of divorce, there are a lot of instances where couples actually communicate with each other and resolve matters within themselves and are happy afterwards. The ones who are not happy figure out ways to be happy - living separately with their kids/parents, friends and relatives. For a lot of people, sexual life isn't as important here, as much as it is for caring about their children and educating them, so it kinda works. Even after the death of their partners, a large amount of people choose not to marry.
Personally, I think both eastern and western practices are shit. Each individual should have their own choices without any societal judgement, but at the same time have patience to deal with their significant other and try to fix them before ending a relationship in a whiff - the latter which is not present in western society.

Just confirmed with a Japanese friend, that Japan is indeed and sadly, becoming more Westernized. Divorce is one point, perhaps more interestingly and disturbing, is the trend of putting elderly family members in nursing homes, where traditionally, the children would take care of them at home. One may postulate that they would perhaps get better care in a facility equipped to assist them properly, but I feel like if you asked the senior citizens, most would much prefer to be around family, rather than get the occasional visit on holidays.
