When I proposed she responded "I will ride shotgun with you anywhere you drive" and then I deployed a week later... And depression and anxiety took her 4 months in. That last line triggered memory to hear her voice again after 15 yes, and I didn't even realize that I was crying like a baby until I couldn't see. I thought I had lost the memory after suffering a TBI. I have missed her voice so much, for so long, thank you for the unexpected birthday present I prayed for every year since. Really thank you so much.
I have to say, I simply love how whenever Fooster is in a cave or echo chamber, he adds that to his voice recording. Adds a layer of depth to his videos that I don't see in many other TH-camrs.
Heck yes!! I’m so excited to see you finish this game because of how much you’ve mentioned wanting a survival game involving something like a car or horse you need to tend to. Besides this being an absolutely beautiful game, the characters hit you right in the heart and I also think you’re right about Oppy (but no spoilers). (A pulled back is the worst thing ever. Threw out my back nearly ten years ago and I keep getting punished by it. Get better soon my guy.)
Every time you replace something on the car I think "Wait, what if the Remnant is actually just your wing mirror, or a screw somewhere or a tiny bit of rubber on the door?!" SPOILERS: I thought there was far more to learn than what was revealed in the end. I wanted to know WHERE Oppy and Francis were- sometimes I questioned whether they were actually corporeal or not, find out more about the origin of the zone, were the crash test dummies people that died in the zone? The instability trying to make/remake people but crudely like a child learning (as it was described early on) and not capable of making them properly. Seems a great game but I found the ending a bit lacklustre in terms of the story.
as the game progresses with updates we will defiently find out, the newest update added new secrets to explore and new areas. currently there is theories that the well is genuinly sentient or something in it as it is basically reaching you throught he pax amchine and tells how curious humans are, how they persist no matter what. It also adresses the driver directly by calling him extremely special and that it simply cannot calculate how valuable he is
Well considering Oppy said she was roughly 10 miles east of us (Aka, Another planet in Exclusion Zone terms), and that she's surrounded by pockets of Perpetual Instability, I would say that there was a backroad somewhere along the eastbound highway that had been cut off by the Instability or is hidden from main roads. Considering that the normal Carbureted engine can just about do 60mph, if we could find that backroad and pass by the Perpetual Instability I think it'd take us about 15-20 minutes to get to her, longer if we're being very careful. Also considering she managed to leave so easily, She'd probably live a little hiking distance from the outer wall near a crumbled spot. So if we kept driving and didn't get pulled in we could've driven past where she.... left.... Huh.... Is it possible that we could've been delivering to her? Interesting....
43:37 - the fax is in spanish. "This is not possible, nor conceivable. And is real, anyway. Is this a state secret? Should we tell another countries?" Fooster, Pacific Drive is the game that I have been most interested in watching you play. I didn't much care for the last two games you played on your channel, but Pacific Drive just has so much to it. Its not one of those cheaply put together by high schooler 5 nights at freddies style games that literally have no substance to them. This game just has so much more substance to it, its loaded in story, Twilight Zone style activities, spooky horror aspects, and a fairly complex system in the garage to manage everything. This might be an indie title, but it shares aspects to a triple a game. It was such a pleasure getting to watch you play this game!
Beautiful ending!!! Yep not even ashamed to admit I shed a tear when francis was crying his lungs out when tobias was dying.... Thanks for the upload fooster!!
2:16:20 had me cackling. Not Fooster out here giving off Enemies to Lovers vibes "I've hated you, I've wished I never met you... but now I love everything about you and we're gonna do this together!" Never failing us with brilliantly hysterical lines, Fooster!!!
In all of my years of gaming, I have never cried in a video game ever before, but the whole thing with Tobias.... I'm just glad I watched you play this part of the gave to prepare me.
Yeah, the moment Fooster said 626, my brian supplied "Ohana meand family, and family means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten." Also, Moss Piglets (Tardigrades) can survive the vacuum of space, unprotected, for like, 10 days or something. I want to be a Moss Piglet in my next life.
Also thought Oppy sounded pretty similar to Maida from Subnautica. Turns out they are portrayed by different actresses though (at least according to IMDb). Marguerit is evidently played by Lorelei King and Oppy by Tara Langella.
loved every second of this playthrough, and with your enthusiasm for this game it became even better ... the scene where u had to connect the power and in the background you hear Tobbyas sacrificing himself ...man that got me real bad ... i dont know why i felt so panicky and heartbroken after ... i guess i did not really think they were still alive idk why, i thought they were just recordings or something ... on a more positive note i love the idea that the driver stays behind and helps Francis, its also a good ending to start of Pacific Drive 2 is it not ... very creative game, amazing voice acting and gripping atmosphere ... love the car, tho i wished it showed a little bit more sentiency to add on more flavor to the whole "person gets addicted to to the remnant" spiel
This game is awesome. This is the ultimate game for science fiction car fans. I love foosters videos, he sounds like a baseball announcer and keeps me engaged. That and having this passively play in the background is positive energy. Thanks Fooster!
The best game i have ever seen. The best narrator i have ever seen. This whole story hit me hard emotionally, it really felt like i was watching a movie at the end of which i just stare blankly at the wall and think wow...just wow.
btw, your jump cut off Francis from admitting he fumbled some numbers trying to get funding while doing research in the zone, that's why he's being strangely quiet. (d20 is just shorthand for "20 sided dice")
33:40 fooster if my hearing is correct I heard a change in how your audio sounds when you where in your car vs the tunnel I like that because it makes us (the audience) feel like we are part of the gameplay and what's happening. Keep up the good work love the content
He does nice little touches like that. Like if we're in an empty space, he'll add some echo. When we're under water, he'll muffle his voice. It's a very nice, immersive little touch.
Another great one! I like the fact that you really tried to take care of the car. Most of the other people I've watched are constantly running into things, especially trees, and don't have enough supplies for repairs. Keeping the car in good shape definitely helps complete the missions.
"Rootin' tootin' tardigrade" is possibly one of my favourite Fooster sayings. 😂 Next to hippo eggs, of course. I *LOVE* that he's enjoying this game so game.
I've had a blast playing this game. The panic that sets in when the siren goes is real. I had a run in the swamp last night that made me sweat. I was lucky to have half a car by the time I got to the shop.😂
Wwoooooooo its back, soooooo happy to gind this as im just getting into bed. Probably have to watch in to halves. Before sleep and after 😅. This game is really cool. I know there so many survival games and there lots with cool stories and aspects. But i live the car in this, like its alive and you have to look after it. Its a part of the whole game play not just your transport to discovery and a way out. Or not depending on your end choice. Then its your forever friend 😊❤.
Love ya videos man🤙🎮🤘 !!! Keep being you my friend & making bangers with the humor you bring to the table 🍻🍻💣💣💥💥🍻🍻 ( Hope ya back gets better my friend, I know how much that can suck ) • Side note: Wish "Pacific Drive" would go ahead & stop fighting the Inevitable that it is coming to Xbox 🤘🎮🤙🍻 🤣😂 Dude you hit it deeep son 💣💥

I love how much fooster works on the audio of his videos, it just shows he really cares and that’s amazing. That’s one of the reasons he is my top 1 gameplay youtuber
Thanks much for playing this one through to the end. It's not my kind of game play wise but I think my son will love it. Anyway, really enjoy your enthusiasm and sense of fun. Looking foward to watching more of your past play throughs. Keep up the great work.
TINKER STATION boy, you need it to resolve some errors & malfunctions. For example, your car keeps giving a horn at closing the trunk. Input it there, in 'what' & 'when' columns & it should be able to resolve it. It'll also show you how many errors you have in total, but you have to discover them on your own
Thats type of are wonderful. Like i keep the quirk where my dash turns on faster when i am low on fuel or how my wipers run faster when my lights stay on
The vacuum you found in the first episode is very useful for collecting things out on the road. Also there is a repair guide built into the game to help you diagnose issues with the car and fix them. According to the deves they have added little things like a light that will turn on when you close your hood or for instance your gauges move when your whipers are on.
I'm so glad you made another video loving it I've been here since your cotw videos but I stopped watching after a while as much as I love your other videos I'd love for you to play some cotw again there's been some crazy things since you last played
I haven’t watched gaming let’s play videos for years. Totally lost interest in them after high school nearly a decade ago. But something about your commentary has made me really enjoy watching these videos. Super engaging! And this game is also just fantastic. It should be turned into a movie.
Love that at 1:20:00 1:21:00 you have sooooooo many quirky things going on and do t realize that. Use ur diagnostic machine. You have... "when hood is closed, interior light comes on." And "when trunk is closed, left front door opens" And "when driver door is closed, horn honks" 😅😅😅 Ur wipers and fuel guage is another. Ur car is totally infected and ur just dealing with it like its normal 😆 🤣 ur awesome 👌
Love the videos man, the stuff u do for me and I hope I speak for the rest of us too u are so inspiring and get us through a lot never had a moment without smiling enjoying ur vids man keep making us smile all love
Oo game boy! I love nostalic moments, went to the 90s Nostalgia concert with Aqua, Hiddaway, Vegaboys, and Jenny from Ace of Base couples years ago it was amazing lol also love watching your videos while I'm studying! It's a distraction but worth it 😆
Fooster thanks for the amazing videos you make! i love them and enjoy watching them so much thanks for doing it! making my and other peoples days better !!! keep going! :D
1:20:22 Nah, you just missed some quite important dialogue because you were too fast in gtfo. Francis falsified data in his research, Oppy and her team demoted him. Francis was upset that Tobias made him work with Oppy. He's taking a breather in the bedroom.
Day 4: FOOSTER, I love your vids man! You never fail to make me bust out laughing or full body contract when you get scared! Haha, you're my favorite TH-camr by far! I know you love playing games with great atmosphere and immersion, I'd love to see you play "The Division" and "The Division 2". At least the first one... It's set in a post apocalyptic New York after a super virus was unleashed around Christmas time. It's such a unique idea/story. I've never seen a more atmospheric game than "The Division". And I know how you like lore and there is plenty of it in this game. From phone recordings of actual citizens in the city, to recordings of the people behind the virus itself. The story itself is decent, some would say not the best, but it's the world building that makes this game top tier for me... Everywhere you look is a body bag/body box, they mass produced in order to dispose of the dead... It's truly chilling some of the scenes and areas you go through. Not to mention, the groups of people that form in the city are some of the most brutal groups I've ever had the chance to meet... I've never had a game blow my mind, while simultaneously giving me chills and a sense of dread quite like this game did. It is a looter shooter with RPG elements. I know it's not your typical game you play, but it fits the channel aesthetic as the world they created is brutal and at some points, truly psychologically mortifying. Also, did I mention it's Co-op? You can play with Fisk, Taco, and even one more. I'd love to see you do a playthrough of this game!
We love you and Fisk individually but always know we ❤ you two together! I know it’s more difficult ti collab than most understand but you guys are hilarious together like two brothers! Love your longer vids too!!😊👍🏻
i dont know if this will help anyone but if you have issues finding the parking break when its dark, the one from the dlc (the little planet one) actually glows and makes it much easier to find
I loved to watch you play this! It was really cool. I'm glad Oppy got her closure but I totally cried when Tobias died. Francis's grief was palpable 😢❤
Hello Fooster. Long time watcher of your gaming videos. I have a tip for you. Next time you are near the "Crash Test" dummies, throw a fully charged FLARE at them. The dummies will blow up and you can recover resources from them including a "RED" element.
This game makes me wanna buy an old Volvo 740 (I'm swedish) just to pimp it with stuff from the game. Haha! Update: I think marsh Eggs are the pink stuff on the car that you scanned at 38:53. You just pick them up. Parking a bit away from the anchor points is a good way to spare your car from alot of damage.
This game looks incredible. It has a unique style that reminds me of the same excitement I got for Horizon Zero Dawn. Different games for sure but the uniqueness of this game reminds me of that
you can get unstable energy from the middle region of the projector map and corrupted energy (dont worry about it yet) from the top left region of the map
That was FANTASTIC!! and the story arc was so damn cool! I actually felt the pain, disgust, and sorrow of loss in those character voices! I want to see the movie!! ❤ Well played Fooster kept it fun and exciting all the way to the end! THANK YOU❤
The retro Nintendo Gameboy. The greatest thing ever. I had a sonic the hedgehog blue game gear and never thought to keep it. All the "retro" things if we had saved blows my mind.
My my, what merely started as a Car driving simulator turned into an amazingly engrossing and unique sci -fi adventure. And you made it even more fun Foos. Cheers mate. I'm off to waste a weekend on this one.
The Devs of this game should consider pitching this game as a movie!!! I've never seen anything like this game, it would be awesome!
Pvz movie first
Every movie first
That is actually a badass idea, but I would much rather it be a series. Made by the right people to not make it some shit show.
@@joshking33Agreed not by netflix cause they'd ruin it but someone who understand the vision of ironwood studios
rather use the funds made from the game to fund the movie. if they give the rights to some idiots, like those making the halo series, or like what netflix did to the witcher... amazon with LotR... these people understand nothing of what makes these games worth the time
2 hours and 35 minutes of Fooster, my day just got better
I was waiting an entire week for this upload, so I feel the same. 2 hours and 35 minutes of Fooster, is like taking my aching heart, and making it feel better again. These are the kinds of editing details that sets this fine man apart from all the others.
@Fooster Your incredible effort to immerse us does not go unnoticed good sir!

I have to say, I simply love how whenever Fooster is in a cave or echo chamber, he adds that to his voice recording. Adds a layer of depth to his videos that I don't see in many other TH-camrs.

I kind of hate it. Its so noticeable that its annoying.

honestly, ending is mediocre
I am speechless. The storytelling, the bond with the car and ending…
Man, these developers did a great job out there!
Thanks for the ride, Fooster!
"What in the 1980's horror movie...??" That was totally awesome 😂👍 I miss the 80's 😎

And "when trunk is closed, left front door opens"
And "when driver door is closed, horn honks" 😅😅😅
Ur wipers and fuel guage is another.
Ur car is totally infected and ur just dealing with it like its normal 😆 🤣 ur awesome 👌

"What in the 1980's horror movie is that " so funny Fooster 😊 I love this game ❤ Thanks for playing it😊
I discovered you from the far cry primal series and since then i loved watching your videos you are the 🐐!
Thank you Fooster 🤩 not long since i found you, but youre videos are elite 😘
1:20:22 Nah, you just missed some quite important dialogue because you were too fast in gtfo. Francis falsified data in his research, Oppy and her team demoted him. Francis was upset that Tobias made him work with Oppy. He's taking a breather in the bedroom.
Absolutely amazing !! Day after day after day!! And 2 min ago? lucky me! Mate you are the hardest working creator on TH-cam
Love the content hopefully you come back to this game to explore the world more
Loved watching you play this. Thank you for sharing it and I agree when Tobias sacrificed himself I was in tears.
Day 4:
FOOSTER, I love your vids man!
Put all the oysters in the matter deconstructor!!!!
They give you a lot of goood things!!
Ayyee I've been waiting for this one. ❤️
I loved it the first time but this is a bonus😮
i think this game is just masterpiece. all the way from the grapic, story, atmosphere, map, items, characters, mistery, everything just perfect 😮
1:26:46 i think anomaly 626 is a reference to experiment 626, stitch' designation name/number from lilo and stitch, i might be wrong tho
I was just sotting here like i meed some good content to watch and my man comes through!!
2:30:05 watch the dogs head go DOWNNNNNNNNN SLOWLYYYYYYYYYY
Yesssss was waiting for more of this series
YAYYYY i was hopeing you'd play this game again, i want to see what happens next?
This game looks incredible. It has a unique style that reminds me of the same excitement I got for Horizon Zero Dawn. Different games for sure but the uniqueness of this game reminds me of that
you can get unstable energy from the middle region of the projector map and corrupted energy (dont worry about it yet) from the top left region of the map
A d20 is the name of that specific type of dice. It has 20 sides. I play dnd and it is like THE main dice for that game. (Dnd is soo much fun!)
Also this game is fucking amazing!?!?!?!?
That was FANTASTIC!! and the story arc was so damn cool! I actually felt the pain, disgust, and sorrow of loss in those character voices! I want to see the movie!! ❤ Well played Fooster kept it fun and exciting all the way to the end! THANK YOU❤
another long videos. thx Foosterr ❤❤
event at 2:29:46 the car wave goodbye to you. this is a masterpiece
the fact that he missed the armored Hood at 1:02:40 hurts my scavenging heart

The retro Nintendo Gameboy. The greatest thing ever. I had a sonic the hedgehog blue game gear and never thought to keep it. All the "retro" things if we had saved blows my mind.
So glad you played more
Fooster a two and a half hour video!! Lets go! ❤
Fooster just made my day 999999% ❤❤❤❤
This is a great way to start my day off. Coffee and Fooster

Wow. I love this! Easily one of my favorite series of yours, Fooster! What a great game.
I've loved this play threw, I really hope the devs make plans for expansions, and possibly consider makeing more games like this.
My my, what merely started as a Car driving simulator turned into an amazingly engrossing and unique sci -fi adventure. And you made it even more fun Foos. Cheers mate. I'm off to waste a weekend on this one.
